While the girl known as Megan displays somewhat higher than normal intelligence,her logical thinking processes seem somewhat governed by her emotions, she has stated that she feels confused by where her true priorities lie,due to the fact that she was unable to accept the aunt who raised her,during the span of 24 months,as a replacement for her believed to be dead mother.

While she has also said that she cares deeply for her aunt,and her remaining family, the fact that the person who was really her mother,and the mother of her sister Molly,was alive,for all of her life,makes her as unsure about what the truth about her place in the world might be.

Such a lack of certainty has not prevented her from doing whatever is within her power to make life better,for not only herself,and her sister,she also wants to make sure the world is a better place for everyone.

The girl also has expressed feelings of abandonment,both by her real father and stepmother,her biological mother,her brother and sister,and later her aunt. The lack of permanence seems to have made her believe that no one can stand to be around her,so she turned her pain inward,and adopted a personality flaw that existed within her biological father,alcoholism.

After 2 years of said destructive behavior,her sister finally decided that she had had enough,and left Megan alone,to whatever fate might befall her.

As it turned out,there was a reason why Megan hated not only her mother,but in time,also hated herself more than she realized. Megan turned out to be a human/animal hybrid that was born in another realm. Her real mother had been mystically altered so that she could produce a MALE child that would one day become a link to the days of Camelot.

As her mother later learned,the alterations changed her,in ways that weren't evident at first. While her mother had once been capable of birthing a male infant, thanks to the spell,that potential was permanently altered.

There was more which the girl was unaware of. While her mother had always maintained that she did not know who the father of both her girls had been,she had lied about that as well. In truth,the person who had fathered Megan was none other than the court jester of Lord Oberon,Puck.
