After her breakup with Dawson, Joey was flying solo. She refused to become involved with Jack at the time, because she had too much to think about.
Joey had just got out of History, she practically ran out in desperation to avoid Dawson. She ran into another individual, literally. "Geez Pace, why can't you watch where you're going?" she stormed.
"What's upsetting the Icequeen today?"he joked.
"Considering Dawson isn't even on speaking terms with me and I'm trying to avoid him as well as Jack, so I might as well be seen talking to you."
"Ouch, score one for the Icequeen!" Pacey started to do a victory dance.
"Will you stop it?" she hissed.
"Well...somebody got Josephine Potter's panties in a bunch before 2nd period didn't they?" Pacey said as he stopped dancing.
"What is your problem Pacey?"
"No problem at all. I won tickets to see Jewel and I was wondering if you'd like the company of a charming individual like...myself!"
Joey, who usually would of given him a snide remark actually considered this for a moment. Since movie night was no more due to that kiss with Jack and she really didn't have the most active social life with the exception of a job and school she looked at him thoughtfully and answered,
"alright Pacey. You do realize though that some people would consider this a date?"
Pacey replied,"I'm fully aware of that and the fact that I'm spending it with you makes it all the more worthwhile."
This comment brought a slight blush to Joey's face and Pacey just grinned. "I'll pick you up at seven?" he asked before running to his next class.
"That'd be great."
Joey watched Pacey as he left and thought to herself, *maybe this won't be so bad after all, I mean he does have a nice rear view!*
Both went to class with something to look forward to with small smiles on their faces.
