Overall:
This is the first episode that I didn't see the first time around, soit was extra special for me. Our worst nightmares come true for a little while when Dawson doesn't want to be friends with Joey anymore. You know it won't last, but it still breaks your heart. Pacey lets on that he isn't as confident in himself as he would like everyone to believe, and Dawson finds out about Jen's past. Pacey's explanation of why she said what she said is especially entertaining. We also get to see Jen and Joey talk like friends for once. I would just like to stress for my critics out there, that I don't hate Jen. She's a cool character, but since she stands in the way of Joey and Dawson, I kind of dislike her. Overall the episode was good, but its not rewatchable. You would watch it if it came on reruns, but you wouldn't watch it over and over till the tape wore out like you would a certain pilot, and a certain Season Finale.
My Favorite Part:
Has to be the talk Joey and Dawson have at the end of the show. The whole scene reminds me of how I make up with my sister if we ever fight. The person at fault starts a conversation about something off the subject without even acknowledging that there has been a fight.
"You get angry at me too easy you know." - Joey
"You're way too critical of me." - Dawson
Cool Lines and Stuff:
- "Your parents are middle aged white suburbanites, they live for folk art." - Joey
- "Can't two people sleep together, enjoy it, and then everything turns out fine?" - Pacey
Ha Ha, little does he know, its not gonna turn out fine.
- That cool rock song that played each time Dawson got pissed.
- "Mr Gold is gay?!!" Hee Heee.
-OH YEAH!!! Sarah McLachlan.
Poor Joey:
-She lost her best friend (for a little while) because she tried not to hurt him.
-"I'd probably be stupid enough to wait forever." - Joey This is a pretty sad line.
Dawson’s Butthead line of the week:
This is the line in each episode that makes you want to rip Dawson’sheart out and feed it to him, after he blurts it out.
"Oh , God, she's perfect. Look at those eyes, that hair."
You know what I would like to do Dawson? I would like to put you in a dumbwaiter, have you go to the top floor, and at the moment you are trying to get out, I cut the rope, the dumbwaiter catchers your leg and nearly rips it off.
Dawson’s saving grace line of the week:
This is the line in each episode that keeps you from completely hating Dawson.
When Jen says she wants to be the one that Dawson can talk to about anything he drops her and runs to Joey. "Joey , I need to talk to you."
Pacey - Joey Flirting:
"Yeah, you can pull out your bishop in privacy." -Joey
"You know, that's really clever how you turn all that sexual repressionin to humor."- Pacey.
I know she didn't know it was Pacey, but what about when Joey says the guy in the video has "Throbbing neck muscles.". I'm sure Pacey liked hearing that
