Overall:
The second time through these episodes, I’m noticing that the actors actually act like 15yr olds. Except of course for the language they use. At that age, no one has that kind of vocabulary, but I guess its just part of the show’s charm.
My Favorite Part:
I really liked the foreshadowing when Dawson kissed the dummy head ofJoey. Just think, you have to wait until the very last show of the first season to kiss Joey.
Cool Stuff:
- Pacey scoring with the teacher.
- Dawson saying that the worst kind of movie is a sports movie, and now James Van Der Beek is doing a movie called "Varsity Blues", which is a football movie. This is more ironic than cool though.
Poor Joey:
- She has to watch Dawson kiss the dummy and hope for the day that he actually kisses her.
- She is having a good time dancing with Dawson until she realizes thathe’s not even looking at her.
- She finally has him to herself at the end while they’re walking home, but then Jen shows up.
Dawson’s Butthead line of the week:
This is the line in each episode that makes you want to rip Dawson’s heart out and feed it to him, after he blurts it out.
"I feel like I’ve known her all my life. She’s like you, Joey, except....she’s Jen."
Dawson’s saving grace line of the week:
This is the line in each episode that keeps you from completely hating Dawson.
"Hey, you’re quite good at this." Plus the three seconds afterwards that he actually looks at Joey while he’s dancing with her.
"When I saw you with the lipstick on, I remember thinking how pretty you looked."
