The Light in the Dark

Lightning crashes over a castle in Germany’s Black Forest. The rain beats down on a guard’s helmet as he walks his guard shift. The lightning crashes down lighting up the walk way in front of him revealing a figure with eyes not of this world. He draws for his weapon; turning back towards the figure he finds it gone.
Looking around for the figure he reaches for his radio to report in.
Guard: Look out 21 to command over.
Command: Command here. What is it 21?
Guard: I sough something out here, about 30 feet in front of me.
Command: And is it still there or what? Nobody heard any gunfire.
Guard: No, it disappeared before I could fire-
Command: Disappeared?
Guard: Yah, it was here one minute then it was gone. But from what I sough it wasn’t human-
 Command: Cano-sapeon?
Guard: No, not even Cano-sapeon like general Gunthor. It, it had these weird eyes though; they were red like blood and had a black sliver straight down the middle, like cat eyes, but in the middle of that there was a diamond shape. I don’t know what it was and I know I sound crazy but for that brief second it felt as if death himself was here.
Command: Sounds like you need to stop having those drinks before you start your shift. Command out.
 Guard: Yah, whatever. Out.
The rain gets harder as Gunthor slams his fits in anger on his desk. He calls for his second in command. With a flash of lightning Gunthor sees the shadow of a figure projected on the wall. He whips around drawing his pistol and aiming at the window; seeing nothing he causally walks towards the window, and with another flash of lightning he opens the window only to see nothing. His second in command walks in as he shuts the window asking if any things wrong.
Gunthor: I thought I sough something out the window.
S.C.: Out the window, but sir where 3 stories off the ground.
Gunthor: Yes, yes we are I’m just seeing things.
 S.C.: Are you ok sir.
Gunthor: No I’m not ok, Its Collins and his dam team. I try killing them on their ground, I try killing them on my ground, I try killing them in the middle of the ocean, I even try killing them in the past and I still can’t kill them-
S.C.: Well you did kill one of his team members.
Gunthor: Yes Lady, cheap shot in the back.
S.C.: But it still was a great shot. I mean a knife right in the middle of the back from the range you were at it was just great.
Gunthor: Yes, but it was not enough. I wanted to get them all in the past, but no Collins… Collins god I hate that name. All though it was fun watching that new girl on his team scream in fear as she was about to be sacrificed to Anubis Egyptian god of the under world. But that dumb priest had to take forever with that chant; then Collins and his bunch butted in and saved her killing more of my men and lots of the pharos. But still I can’t kill them; theirs got to be someone on this stupid planet that can kill them.
Gunthor slams his fists on his deck once more as the light in the room goes out. Gunthor and his second in command look around to see what caused the lights to go out as the lightning flashes once again as a voice says “ perhaps I can help” in a deep growling way. Gunthor and his second in command look around franticly for a light when Gunthor looks towards the doorway only to see darkness with two eyes flouting in the air. The eyes stair deep into Gunthors eyes, Gunthors second in command notices the eyes and aims his pistol at them, the eyes shift quickly staring at the gun turning it into molten metal. The second in command clutches his hands in pain as the eyes turn back to Gunthor. Gunthors eyes grow big, his heart beats faster and faster with every breath; he feels a cold air around him the lightning flashes and he can see what has paralyzed him. A 6’ 6” tall wolf jet-black standing in front of the doors. Gunthor slowly looks the wolf over noticing that his cane had a crystal ball topping it off, the ball was the color of a dark night blue and in the center there was a figure, like a skull, that of a dog. Gunthor looks back into the eyes of this stranger his heart slowly beating back to a normal pace.
 Gunthor: Who, what are you?
WolfGeshwader: My name is WolfGeshwader lord of darkness, and I am the only one that can help you.
 Gunthor: How?
WolfGeshwader: I am a demon of the after life, paceser of the Necronomicon, For I am death itself.
Gunthor: Death, what do you want?
WolfGeshwader: Just as you want to control this world, I want to control all the souls and turn them to evil so that when its time my master and me can triumph in the war between good and evil.
Gunthor (helping his second in command up): Can you really kill Collins and his people?
WolfGeshwader: That and hole lots more.
Lightning flashes as Gunthor and WolfGeshwader start to laugh. Several thousand miles away in the U.S., Collins and his team morn the lose of one there friends and comrades Lady. The entire nation mourns and watches as Lady’s casket is carried to her grave. A Scotsman plays amazing grace on his bag pips as tons of military personnel salute the passing casket. Collins and his team fallow behind the casket. As the casket is lowered into the grave 4 officers stand in a line side to side and perform the 21 gun salute, with the first shots fired Molleen jumps letting out the tears building up in her eyes. The Scotsman finishes playing as the grave is covered; the group of military personnel disperses and goes there separate ways. The rover team head to there cars, Molleen gets to their car noticing Collins is not with her she turns to see him still standing at Lady’s grave; she puts her hat in the car and looks at her husband standing motionless in his Navy dress whites. She slowly walks up to him to see him drop his head in sorrow, as Molleen puts her arm around him to comfort him she sees a tear run down the side of his face. She takes his sunglasses off and puts her arms around him letting out more tears with him.
A week has past and the sun rises over the base of Collins and his team. Molleen wakes to an empty bed, wondering where Collins is she slips her robe on and ties the waist string. She goes to the sliding glass door to the deck noticing Collins on the beach. As she walks to the edge of the deck putting her arms on the railing Vince walks into the room with 2 cups of coffee in his hand. He walks to the deck and stands next to Molleen wondering what she’s staring at.
Vince (whispering): What are you looking at?
 Molleen (whispering): Whoa?
Vince (load whisper): What are you looking at?
Molleen: Oh, I’m watching Collins on the beach. I guess he’s still trying to deal with loosing Lady.
Vince: Yah, I can under stand that. Brigail and me were up till 3:28 a.m. watching home movies of all of use together. Lady was a real good friend, and loosing her is like we lost apart of are self’s. Oh here I got you some coffee.
Molleen (taking one of the cups of coffee): Thanks, where are the others?
 Vince: In the kitchen.
As Molleen takes a sip of coffee she along with Vince watches Collins on the beach performing Tie Chi. His arms move slowly into position as he advances forward his left foot on tip toes while the heels rests on his right shin, his right hand by his heart with the thumb, index and middle fingers sticking up as his ring finger and pinky are down in his palm. His left hand a little ways in front of his right in the same position, Collins whips his head sharply to the sea noticing a Bell UH-1 Iroquois transport helicopter coming in from the horizon. Molleen and Vince look to the helicopter to make an idea on it. “It’s Sam’s” Vince says as he heads to the door to tell the others, Molleen looks down at Collins seeing him walk to the landing pad she looks back up to see the helicopter fly over head. Molleen goes back in and puts on her olive drab pants and a black T-shirt and heads for the landing pad. Sand flies as the helicopter slowly descends to the pad. Jess, Dee, Perdita, Megel, and Brigail shield there eyes as the helicopter lands and powers down. Vince and Molleen walk towards the helicopter as the side door slides open and out steps Sam. Sam waves to the rovers and asks Molleen were Collins is. Sam looks past Molleen noticing Collins walking up from the beach; Sam waves to Collins. Collins smiles and waves back as he reaches the landing pad.
Collins (shacking Sam’s hand): Sam, how’s it going?
Sam: Ok, still trying to get over Lady though.
Collins: Yah me too. So what cha here for.
Sam: Well just came to see how you guys were doing and to give you something.
 Collins: What?
Sam: Well since the passing of Lady the people at the pentagon and the president thought that we should fill her position. Now I know that no one can replace her as good as she was but we think we found someone that may do a good job filling her place. And with that I give you fresh from boot camp Max the German Shepherd.
Collins looks to the helicopter were a well built German Shepherd climbs out and walks to Collins and Sam, duffel bag in hand.
Max (saluting Collins): Sir reporting for duty sir!
Collins (saluting back): Atease Max, we don’t call each other sir around her, you can call me Collins.
Max (addressing Sam): Sir this is a military base, and these are military personal right?
Sam: Yes this is a military base and these are military personal, some of the best we have. But they don’t treat each other like military personal, except for formal occasions with the president or other heads of state; or at speeches or banquets. They are all different ranks; Collins here is a 4 star Admiral in the Navy he treats the others as equals. They all call each other by first name, they don’t salute, say sir, or any other military stuff here or when there on missions.
 Max: I don’t understand sir.
Collins: Put it this way, forget all they taut you at boot about addressing higher ranking people, except for formal occasions like Sam said. All other times treat use as if we were all civilians at work or something. There are just 2 rules in this unit; 1 is respectful and 2 just have fun-
Sam: When possible.
 Collins: Yah.
Max (scratching his head): I’ll try Collins, is it?
Collins (patting Max on the shoulder): See your getting it, come on I’ll introduce you to the others.
Sam: Have fun with the new guy Collins. I got to get back.
 Collins: C-Yah Sam.
 Sam: Later Collins.
Sam heads back to his helicopter as Collins introduces Max to the others. Sand fills the air as the helicopter lifts of the pad and out into the wild blue yonder.  Collins turns Max over to Dee and goes to change; Dee takes Max to his new home as the others head to the recreation room. Dee leads Max to an empty condo type area that once housed Lady.
Dee: And here you go your new condo type thingy. Sorry theirs no furniture or any thing else, but that way you get to make it how you want it. You’re own furniture, appliances and stuff. You can even paint it how you want it.
Max: Wow, a lot more space then the barracks.
Dee: Yah, you get a kitchen, dinning area, living room, 2 bathrooms, a master bedroom and 3 extra rooms to do with as you please.
Max: Man, Collins really makes you feel good.
Dee: Yes he does. The way to the deck is over there were the sliding glass doors are and you can explore now if you want, go shopping to furnish your new home, or go to the recreation room where the others are.
Max: Thanks, I’ll just put my stuff in here and go to the recreation room. I’ll need to wait till I get some money saved up to furnish this place.
Dee: Ok, but you won’t have to wait long to furnish your home, your first paycheck should cover it.
Max: First paycheck. How much do we get paid each payday?
Dee: Well, we get paid more then regular military, sort of the governments way of saying thanks. It’s about 20 to 30 thousand including hazard pay.
Max: Man, I’m glad I’m here. And Cano-sapion.
A week and a half go by, Max has settled in and is fitting in nicely. The gang enjoys the nice sunny day on the beach when Sam calls over the vidlink. The team heads to the briefing room to see what’s going on. Sam informs the team to get up to Washington fast, and that the president and the UN need there help. The group rush to their quarters and change to their dress uniforms. As the team climbs into the C-130 cargo converted transport Max sees that he is the lowest ranking of the whole group, being a staff Sargent. The plain rattles as it speeds down the runway and up into the air. 6 ½ hours later the plane lands at Washington’s military air force base. As the team climbs out of the plane they are met by a group of marines witch led them to air force 2. As air force 2 takes off Jess comforts Max by explaining that he as well as her are the lowest ranking for they have not scene the same amount of combat as the others. But after this mission Collins will most likely promote them to the rank of the others so we’ll pretty much be the same. 25 minutes later air force 2 land in the lawn in front of the White House and the group is escorted to the oval office were the president waits. Once in the office the team finds they are facing the entire UN on the vidlink. The president informs them of the situation.
President: Hay guys take a seat and I’ll fill you in.
The team (taking their seats): Right sir.
President: Right, now somehow your arch enemy Gunthor has managed to take over most of Germany and is working his way to take over Europe.
 Brigail: What?
Jess: You’ve got to be joking.
UN ambassador of France: Wee, he is only 2 miles from are boarder; and all forces that stand in his way are either wiped out or taken prisoner.
Perdita: And you want use to do what?
UN ambassador of Italy: We need you to stop Gunthor.
UN ambassador of Germany: Yah, ve need you to get back are country.
Brigail/ Perdita: We’ll do what we can.
 Collins: We will?
Brigail: Yes, we need to stop my idiotic insane brother from taking over the world and get my homeland back.
Collins: We’ll I guess were going. How do you want use to proceed Mr. President?
President: That’s totally up to you just try not to get killed.
The team salutes the president on their way out to the pentagon. As the group discusses how they are going to attack Gunthor Sam informs them that Gunthor has taken Italy and is moving into France. Sam also informs the team that Gunthor is not on the front lines like normal, but in fact that he is leading his forces from his castle in Germany. Max suggests to the group that they do a night drop near the castle and move in on the ground, take Gunthor prisoner and force him to move his forces back and to surrender. The team agrees that Max.’s plan is the only feasible one and get to the technical part of the plan. Collins lays out the details as the others listen.
Collins: Ok now we’ll land ½ mile southwest of the castle under thick forest cover. Now the rally point is 20 clicks northeast of the drop zone, once there we will converge and head to the castle. Once we reach the outskirts of the castle we’ll need to sneak around to where the basement entrance is. Once in we move in two by two cover formation to Gunthors main chamber. Once there take out any resistance and take Gunthor prisoner. Alright since we need to move fast where only going to have H&K suppressed MP5s, six extra magazines, and are satcom radios. Right lets go.
The team heads to the hanger as Collins heads to the armory. The team gets their jump gear ready as Collins enters the hanger with the weapons. The team climbs into the plain and takes their seats for take off. The plane rattles as it lifts of the ground and heads to Germany. Vince, Dee, Jess, and Max try to sleep as Perdita, Megel, and Molleen are sleeping like logs. Brigail sees Collins in the back end of the plane looking at a picture of him and Lady at a bar in Australia. Brigail walks over to see a tear run down his face. Collins turns his head towards Brigail and tries to smile but can’t. Brigail sits down next to Collins and puts here arm around him and comforts him. 5 ½ hours later the pilot informs Collins that they are close to the drop site. Collins wakes the others and lays out the gear. As the rovers gear up they notice that Collins has brought his samurai sword and is strapping it to his back, they think nothing of it and get ready for the jump. The ramp in the back of the plane opens and the team jumps out and pull the rip cored on their parachutes. As each member of the team lands they tumble to the ground and quickly remove the jump gear and head to the rally point with haste. At the castle Gunthor and his new partner WolfGeshwader instruct Gunthors men to move forward into Spain and to start moving the prisoners from France to prison camps in Germany. The two villeins marvel at their success.
Gunthor: Ha. WolfGeshwader we are victories. Nothing can stop use now.
WolfGeshwader: Yes your men are surpassingly good.
Gunthor: Well thanks to you they won’t have to suffer the bitter hand of defeat any more.
WolfGeshwader (squinting his eyes and looking to the window): Well well well. Looks like we have some company on their way here now.
Gunthor (surprised): What? Who is? Collins I should have known. Well I’ll let him come to meet you my friend, just long enough for you to kill him.
WolfGeshwader (looking back at Gunthor): Yes he and his team are on their way. (Looking back at the window whispering to himself) and Aleanna. Is she really foolish enough to try and take me on again? After I killed her Mentor/friend and wounded her she still will try to stop me?
As Collins and his team meet at the rally point and head to the castle; they are unaware that they are being watched by two sets of eyes. One sets belong to WolfGeshwader waiting for them at Gunthors castle, and the other set belong to Aleanna the angel of light. As Aleanna watches the team she thinks back to when WolfGeshwader killed her mentor/friend and prepares for the battle ahead. The team reaches the castle and moves to the entrance to the basement of the castle. As Collins opens the doors Molleen and Dee cover the entrance as Vince and Perdita take point and move into the basement. Vince signals its clear to move in and heads to the door leading to the lower level of the castle. Brigail opens the door and the team moves into the castle; as they move through the castle Gunthor watches them through a special viewer that WolfGeshwader set up. The team moves slowly and cautiously through the courtyard when Gunthor pushes a button that sealed off the courtyard with metal doors that covers all the exits. Gunthor moves out onto the balcony that over looks the courtyard and takes a seat. “Now my wonderful soldiers, we can watch the death of those witch killed are comrades and stop use from taking control of the world!” shouts Gunthor as he flicks a switch, turning on lights illuminating the courtyard. Collins and his team look around franticly seeing tons of Gunthors men all around the courtyard shouting from windows, and balconies. Collins aims at Gunthor when his gun starts to burn hotter and hotter. “AAAHHH” shouts Collins as he drops his gun and holds his hands in pain. The others aim and drop their guns for they became too hot to handle. Laughter comes from Gunthor and his men as the team gets together to try and figure out what happened.
 Dee: What just happened?
Molleen: I think we have a problem here.
 Megel: I’ll say.
Vince: think we should try that again?
Perdita (pointing at the guns): Yah we can try that again, if you can pick up molten metal.
Vince (looking at what used to be their guns): Oh.
 Collins: Now what?
Max (pointing at WolfGeshwader): Don’t look now but there is a pair of red eyes in that dark area right behind you Collins.
Collins (turning around to look): What. Oh my god look at those things.
Gunthor: Ah Collins I see you noticed me partner. I now introduce you to WolfGeshwader the one who is going to rip the soil from your bodies.
The team looks to the shadows as WolfGeshwader steps out.
Collins (snickering): Gunthor what’s this? What do you think weird eyes is going to do to use?
Gunthor: Stick around and find out!
WolfGeshwader walks towards the team as they form a large circle around him. WolfGeshwader motions Vince to attack, Vince approaches as Molleen says an insult to distracted WolfGeshwader. WolfGeshwader turns his head to Molleen and stairs into her eyes; Vince takes advantage and throws a right jab at WolfGeshwader. WolfGeshwader puts his left hand up grabbing Vince’s fist without turning away from Molleen, WolfGeshwader starts to squeeze Vince’s fist; Vince falls to his knees in pain. Dee picks up a pipe from the ground and runs towards WolfGeshwader from behind, WolfGeshwader bends forward throwing his right foot back into Dee’s chest knocking him back 5 feet. Perdita runs up beside WolfGeshwader and throws her right foot up to hit him in the face, WolfGeshwader grab’s her foot with his free hand and with his right foot strikes her in the left shine breaking her shine. As Perdita falls to the ground Collins run up behind her and jump roundhouses WolfGeshwader hitting him in the back of the head, WolfGeshwader lets go of Vince as he falls to the ground. Megel drags his wife out of the battle zone and sites her up next to the wall. “Be careful,” says Perdita in pain as Megel heads back to the fighting. As WolfGeshwader gets up Brigail moves in to knee him in the face, WolfGeshwader grabs her knee and with his fangs plants them in Brigail’s upper leg. Not letting go WolfGeshwader takes off his right glove revealing a jet black hand with sharp claws. WolfGeshwader thrusts his right thumb into Brigail’s waist and stabbing her in the back of the waist with his other right hand fingers. Megel picks up the pipe Dee had as Molleen drags him to where Perdita is and heads to WolfGeshwader. Megel thrusts the pipe into WolfGeshwader’s back, WolfGeshwader releasing his hold on Brigail turn around with great speed and strikes Megel with the back of his bloody right fist. Jess runs to get Brigail as Collins grabs the pipe and starts to move it around causing WolfGeshwader great pain. WolfGeshwader sidekicks Collins in the side releasing Collins hold on the pipe as Molleen runs up behind him, WolfGeshwader turns around with speed as Molleen gets to him thrusting his right hand around her neck WolfGeshwader starts to squeeze. With his left hand WolfGeshwader starts to remove the pipe from his back, continuing to choke Molleen Jess hurls a grape fruit size rock at WolfGeshwader. Hitting him in the right shoulder WolfGeshwader lets go of Molleen and turns his attention to Jess. Jess throws another rock at WolfGeshwader catching the rock WolfGeshwader aims for Jess as she runs for cover, looking at the rock WolfGeshwader points his hand at Jess and with a flash of light the rock impacts Jess between the shoulders. After placing Molleen up against the wall Collins turns his head to see Jess fall. Squinting his eyes in anger Collins turns his head towards WolfGeshwader.
As Collins stands and heads slowly towards WolfGeshwader Vince checks on Jess. Collins reaches behind his back and pulls out his sword. Standing a few feet in front of WolfGeshwader Collins twirls his sword around in his right hand. Tilting his head to the side WolfGeshwader closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. Collins eyes grow wide as WolfGeshwader starts to change in front of him. WolfGeshwader grows to 7’ tall and his eyes turn to horizontal slivers of red, the lower areas of his arms grow curved blade like fins. His claws grow to 3 inches and his back sprouts large razor sharp-feathered wings. A cane appears next to him that turned into a 56-inch long sword. At the base of the sword are bladed curved extensions on both sides of the blade. Six saw like teeth lead to another curved blade with a triangular point in the middle of the curve on both sides. The rest of the blade is double edged. Collins takes a step back as Vince drags Jess over to the others where Max gives them first aid. “Vince don’t go I need your help here” blurts Max as he tries to set Perdita’s leg. Vince sighs as he helps Max treat the others. Collins gets low to the ground thinking of an attack as WolfGeshwader stands and waits. Collins waist no time and with one move quick steps to the side of WolfGeshwader and swings his sword trying to hit WolfGeshwader in the gut. WolfGeshwader blocks Collins attack and with his left elbow tries to hit Collins in the head. Collins ducks WolfGeshwader’s attack and with his sword rested on the back of his arm upper cuts WolfGeshwader. WolfGeshwader blocks Collins attack once again and moves to the rear and thrusts his sword through Collins chaff muscle dropping him to the ground. Collins lets go of his sword as WolfGeshwader turns his sword around in Collins leg. WolfGeshwader rips his sword out of Collins leg and holds it over his head to deliver the final attack. Collins looks at WolfGeshwader as his sword hurtles towards Collins head. With a flash of light WolfGeshwader’s sword is blocked by another sword, holding the sword that saved Collins is a pure white female warring a cream colored gown/rob. Her long white hair flows with the breeze. In shock WolfGeshwader looks to the right to see Aleanna struggling to keep his sword from killing Collins. Collins looks at Aleanna as he crawls towards his sword. Kicking WolfGeshwader in the gut Aleanna jumps back and takes a defensive posture.
WolfGeshwader (rubbing his gut): Aleanna I’m surprised to see you here. I thought you learned your lesson all those years ago?
Aleanna: I’ve tracked you for over 2,000 years preparing for this day.
WolfGeshwader: What do you plane to do little one?
Aleanna: What do I plane to do. Well I plane to end your rain of terror and stop you from destroying life.
WolfGeshwader: Ha. You think you can stop me? Not even your teacher could stop me, so what makes you think you can?
Aleanna: Simple I’ve grown in strength and in skill sense we last met.
WolfGeshwader: Why do you throw your life away so foolishly? You could have had every thing if you’d said yes.
Aleanna: And what, become your slave?
 WolfGeshwader: No not slave, wife.
Aleanna: Same thing. We just use different words.
WolfGeshwader (clenching his fist): Foolish girl. Like your teacher I’m going to rip your soil from your body and place your head on a spike for all to see back in are realm.
 Aleanna: I don’t think so.
Aleanna lifts her sword as WolfGeshwader charges towards her with great speed. Aleanna puts her arms out to her sides as pure white-feathered wings unfold and lift her of the ground and over WolfGeshwader as he runs past her. WolfGeshwader turns and holds his sword in front of him blocking Aleanna’s attack from the air. WolfGeshwader grabs Aleanna’s left leg and throws her to the ground and places his right foot on her chest and puts on pressure.
WolfGeshwader (bending down and whispering): And now you die little one.
 Aleanna (struggling to breathe): Never.
As Aleanna struggles to breathe she slashes WolfGeshwader across his eyes knocking him back. As WolfGeshwader falls to the ground with his hands over his eyes yelling in pain Max calls for a Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion transport helicopter for retrieval as Aleanna struggles to get up. Gunthor orders his men to open fire when Aleanna puts her right hand out and a blinding light prevents Gunthors troops from opening fire. As the retrieval helicopter gets into position over the courtyard and lowers the gurney the wounded team members are carried to the retrieval point. When the gurney reaches the team a group of Navy Seals repel down from the helicopter and help the team get their wounded in the helicopter.
Navy Seal leader: That’s the last of the wounded.
Max: Right. Get your people up there now.
Navy Seal leader: What about you?
Max: I’ll be back in a minute.
Vince (carrying Collins): Max where are you going?
Max: To get the girl that saved Collins.
Collins: Make it quick Max. I don’t now how long this light screen will last.
 Max: Yes sir.
As Vince gets Collins into the gurney Max heads to where Aleanna holds her chest in pain.
Max: Come on I got you.
Aleanna (in pain): No. Leave me get out of here.
Max (picking Aleanna up): Negative ma’am. We leave no one behind.
Aleanna looks at Max and smiles as he runs to the helicopter carrying her in his arms. Vince straps Collins in and heads back down the gurney and waits for Max. As Max runs to Vince and the gurney the light screen fades and Gunthors men starts to fire at the running Army Ranger and the helicopter. The pilot of the helicopter holds the transport steady as two of the Navy Seals return fire with M-60 belt fed machine guns. Puffs of dust fly up as bullets impact the ground around Max when a single 9-mm shot from Gunthor nicks the side of his knee. As Max falls to one knee he drops Aleanna. One of the Navy Seals opens fire on Gunthor hitting him in the shoulder, Vince runs to Max and helps him up and to the gurney. Vince heads back for Aleanna when the helicopter pilot informs Collins that the fire is getting to thick and he can’t hold it steady much longer. The Navy Seal leader yells to Vince that he need to hurry as two Navy Seals raise the gurney and strap Max in. As Vince runs to the helicopter the pilot moves away for the fire has gotten to thick. Still laying down cover fire one of the Navy Seals notices that one of Gunthors men is preparing a 3.5-in M20 rocket launcher. One of the Navy Seals notifies the pilot and the helicopter picks up speed to get out of range of the rocket launcher. Brigail trying to stay awake from the morphine asks the Navy Seal leader about Vince. The leader boughs his head and informs her that he’s on his own. A tear falls down Brigails face as she’s knocked out by the morphine.
Vince (looking up at the chopper): Hay wait. Sorry girl but were not going to make it.
Aleanna (mustering up her last bit of strength): The names Aleanna and no where not.
As Aleanna spreads her wings she moves around behind Vince and puts her arms under his arms and lifts him off the ground. Gunthors men pause in shock then continue to open fire when WolfGeshwader let out a roar of pain. Aleanna looks back at WolfGeshwader and grins as she ascends to the helicopter. Two Navy Seals reach out and pull Vince in as Aleanna fights the turbulence from the top rotor. With a flash of light Aleanna changes to her Cano-Sapion form and grabs hold of the ledge of the doorway on the side of the helicopter. Struggling to keep hold Aleanna is pulled in to the helicopter and placed next to Max. While Aleanna is being checked for wounds a Navy Seal takes aim at the soldier with the rocket launcher with his Heckler & Koch PSG 1 sniper rifle. As the soldier takes aim with the rocket launcher he is pierced through the chest with a 7.62x51 mm round from the Navy Seals sniper rifle. As the helicopter speeds to the ‘Nimitz’ class USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) Super Carrier waiting in the North Sea for their arrival.
Collins (to the Navy Seal leader): What about Gunthor?
NS leader: Don’t worry sir. The Air Force thought up a back up plane.
 Collins: Oh.
NS leader: Yes sir. Two McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornets are in route to bomb the castle. They should be striking any time now.
Collins (looking out the window): Yah I can hear them now.
As Collins and the Navy Seal leader look out the window two F/A-18 Hornets fly over head on an attack vector. About a minute later they team gets word that the castle had been leveled and was in flames. About 45 to an hour later the helicopter lands on the USS Abraham Lincoln’s flight deck. Medical personal run to the helicopter with stretchers as the Navy seals off load the wounded rovers. On their way to the medical bay one of the medics notices that Aleanna’s body is repairing itself. The medic places Aleanna in the recovery area and helps the doctors with the others. Vince is the first out of the surgical area with only a broken hand. He sits next to Aleanna and starts to talk. Max hobbles out next with his knee wrapped up, he takes a seat on the other side of Aleanna and gets better acquainted. Others of the team come out one at a time and get to know Aleanna better when one of the doctors runs in and tells them that they are loosing Brigail. Not wasting any words Vince runs into the operating area and watches as the surgeons try to save his wife. Molleen comes up to Vince and puts her hand on his shoulder trying to comfort him. Collins hobbles in all scrubbed up and has a nurse put on surgical gloves. Hours pass and no change with Brigail. Her heart monitor has flat lined and one of the doctors logs the time of death when Aleanna walks in. “get her out of here she’s not in scrubs” says one of the surgeons. Not saying any thing Aleanna moves to the table, Collins hobbles back and watches as Aleanna steps in and places her left hand on Brigails waist wound and her right hand on Brigails forehead. The surgeons watch as well as the others with wonder and concern as Aleanna closes her eyes and a light blue mist covers Brigails wound. Collins looks at Brigail and then at Aleanna, then turns his attention to the heart monitor. “She’s alive!” shouts Collins as Aleanna removes her hands and Brigail wakes up.
As the carrier heads back to America the team recovers in the recovery area. Vince sits next to his Brigail with his arms around her, Dee rest his head in Jess lap. Megel sits next to Perdita with one arm around her, Collins sits next to Molleen rubbing her back as Max plays with a rubber band. They all listen as Aleanna tells them about herself and her past.
Aleanna: A little over 6000 years ago I was born into a wonderful society of peacekeepers. Now peacekeepers are special beings that dedicate there lives to keeping peace were ever it is needed. I started training when I was about 10 and trained for 4000 years till WolfGeshwader came and killed my teacher and wounded me. WolfGeshwader is one of the most powerful demons in my realm. The ancient ones believed that WolfGeshwader would loose his power being encased in the crystal of time, but he grow in strength and some how managed to harness the crystals power and escape. When he did he ravaged my world and in slaved all of those living there. Those who challenged him were killed. WolfGeshwader faced a problem though the peacekeepers, for we to grow in strength and fought him to the end. But he was more powerful and trained in the art of fighting that we lost. After about 800 years of his rule his empire fell and he was banished from the planet. After being hired as the right hand man of some master of darkness, WolfGeshwader now searches for soils to take back to his master and the peace keepers are trying to stop him for good. But we haven’t been able to get him yet.
Max: Well don’t worry he’s barred in rubble. And I don’t think he could have survived that.
Aleanna: I would like to believe that, but he is not defeated. Not yet.
As the ship heads home, a small group of Gunthors men shift through the rubble for survivors. Gunthor looks for WolfGeshwader moving stones and rubble; Gunthor hears movement under a pile of rubble. As he moves to the pile a jet-black fist breaks through the top of the pile. As Gunthor moves away some of the rubble a second hand breaks through. With a load grown the rubble is knocked aside as WolfGeshwader flies into the air spreading his wings in the moonlight. Landing next to Gunthor WolfGeshwader changes back to his Cano-Sapion form and holds his cane in his right hand.
 Gunthor: Now what?
 WolfGeshwader (clenching his fist): Revenge.
The moon light fades and the only thing Gunthor can see are WolfGeshwader’s red eyes starring into the great beyond.
