Name:  Persia

Rank: Captain

Background:  Persia is of an uncertain origin.  As a newborn pup, she and
her siblings were placed into a sack and thrown into a river by their
owner.  Only Persia survived, and was found nearly drown by a kind old
couple in the Scottish countryside and raised on their farm.   When the
old couple died, Persia was "orphaned" again until she was "chosen" by the
Master, much the same way the other Road Rovers were.  Assigned to the
Space Rovers, Persia served two years and then quit.  Asked to return by
the Master, Persia is now the leader of the new Space Rovers.

Special Abilities:  Telepathic and mind reader

Breed:  Uncertain, almost a mix of Irish Setter and Airdale.

Accent:  Irish/Scottish mix

Description:  Is shown in the Road Rover episode "Take Me to Your Leaders"
 

Name: Alexander (or Alex)

Rank:  Commander (First Mate)

Background:  Alexander is the oldest of the Space Rovers, born in Glasgow,
Scotland.  Lived on a farm close by the one Persia was raised on, they
were fast friends BEFORE the Master called them to service.  He is wise
and experienced in the ways of the world.  Has been like a father to
Persia nearly all of their lives.

Special Abilities:  Can hold and dispense kinietic electrical charges in
his body

Breed:  Scottish Terrier

Accent: Scottish

Description:  Was briefly seen on the bridge in the Road Rover episode
"Take Me to Your Leaders"
 

Name: Boomer

Rank:  Lt Commander (Helmsman)

Background:  Born in Trenton, New Jersey and was raised as a racing dog.
After his previous master disowned him for losing a close race, he was
"called" by the Master.   He was a fast learner, and a member of the
orginial Space Rovers.  Later, he was promoted to teaching at the Road
Rover Academy, and now has rejoined the Space Rovers.

Special Abilities:  Speed, almost as fast as Hunter

Breed: Greyhound

Accent:  Brooklyn-ish

Description:  All gray, was seen briefly on the bridge in the Road Rover
episode "Take Me to Your Leaders"
 

Name:  Saundra

Rank: Lt Commander (Navigator)

Background:  She was born in Kansas and lived in a typical middle class
home.  When she contracted a crippling disease, her former master took her
out into the woods and shot her.   Rescued by Boomer (who happened to be
road testing a new Road Rover Vehicle at the time) he quickly brought her
to the Master.  The Transdogmafier somehow cured her disease and made her
whole again, and she was assigned to the original Space Rovers.  She quit
the Rovers to marry Dreadnought, another Cano-Sapien and former Road
Rover.   She divorced him after she found out about his numerous affairs,
and has returned to the Space Rovers.

Breed: Cocker Spaniel

Special Abilities:  Levetation

Accent: American

Description: Mostly brown, was seen briefly on the bridge in the Road
Rover episode "Take Me to Your Leaders"
 

Names:  Daisy and Flash

Rank: Civilian scientists -- not officially members of the Space Rovers

Background:  Daisy and Flash are the daughters of Professor Hubert, and
were brilliant and gifted scientists.  Scorned by humans when they
graduated as co-valedictorians at MIT,  they soon contacted the Master and
were put to work on Project Canius Minor.   Most of the ship's design,
computer, weapons and engines were all their work.   Constant
"workaholics" the pair seemingly work day and night.   Also, starved for
attention, the two are deparately seeking mates (guys are scared off by
"brainy" girls, right? )

Breed:  Bloodhounds

Special Abilities: none, other than their brilliant minds

Accent:  Southern

Description:  Both look a lot like Prof. Hubert (only shorter).
 

Name:  Rasputin

Rank:  Cadet (assigned to security dept)

Background:  Rasputin is the son of Confuseus, the wise dog of the
mountain from the RR episode "A Hair From the Dog That Bit You."   As a
child he was a deep thinker, but also a free-spirited troublemaker.   He
graduated RR Academy based mostly on his fighting skills.   Assigned to
Project Canius Minor based on Alexander and Boomer's recommendations.

Breed:  Cocker Spaniel

Special Abilities:  Agility and near mastery of martial arts

Accent:  American, with a touch of Chinese

Description:  Has his father's face and colorings, but is much larger
 

Name:  Grunt

Rank:  Leutenant (Chief of Security)

Background:  Grunt started out as a Cano-Mutant, originally created by
Parvo and Groomer.   After a fight with the Road Rovers, he lay
unconscience and was taken the RR Headquarters for further study.   The
Master decided to risk putting him in the transdogmafier to see if it was
condition him like a normal Cano-Sapien.   Although successful, he
suffered the same fate as Shag did, though big (he's HUGE) he still isn't
very human and cannot speak in normal English.   Very reserved, very
private, Grunt passed in the middle of his class at RR Academy and was
assigned to Project Canius Minor.

Breed:  Pit Bull

Special Abilities:  very, very strong

Accent:  None

Description:  Stands almost 7 feet tall, covered with brown fur
 

Name:  Molotav (Molly)   and   Bruno

Rank:  Both are  Leutenants, Molly is Chief Engineer, Bruno is
Communications Officer

Background:  Both Molly and Bruno were born near St Petersburg in Russia.
Met in RR Academy and got married.   Have two children (Tanya and Yuri).

Breed: both are Russian Wolfhounds

Special Abilities:  both can pass through solid objects

Accent:  Thick Russian

Description:  All black, same with their children
 

Name:  Whitey

Rank:  Lt Commander (Science Officer)

Background:  Whitey was born near Alberta, Canada.  Bred selectively to be
a sled dog, he soon ran away from his cruel and abusive master.  Graduated
with honors from RR Academy and volunteered for duty on the Canius Minor
Project.

Breed:  Spitz

Special Abilites: can change the shape of non-living matter with his mind

Accent:  Canadien

Description:  Snow white
 

Name:  Francis and Marie

Rank: both are Second Leutenants (assigned to damage control team)

Background:  Francis was born in Calais, France and Marie was born in
Quebec City, Canada.   The two met in RR Academy and got married.  Have
three children (Felipe, Josephine and Antonie).

Breed:  both are French poodles

Special Abilities:  Francis can turn himself and other objects invisible
for short periods of time, Marie can shoot concentrated laser beams out of
her eyes.

Accent:  French

Description:  Marie is white and Francis is a dark tan.  The children are
all three light tan colored.
 

Name:  Abdullah

Rank:  Lt Commander (Chief Medical Officer)

Background:  Abdullah was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and saw many die in
battle in their civil wars there.  When he became a Road Rover, he decided
to devote his life and skills to veternary science.  Briefly taught Field
Medicine at the RR Acedemy before being assigned to Project Canius Minor.
Has a pleasant personality and truly cares for his patients

Breed:  Kurvasz

Special Abilities:  WIth his mind, he can generate near gale-force winds
for brief periods of time

Accent;  Arabic

Description:  Colored light brown with many dark brown patches
 

Name:  Sheena

Rank:  Leutenant  (Ship's Doctor)

Background:  Born in Darwin, Austrailia, Sheena lived on a huge estate in
the outback.   At RR Acedemy, she ranked near the top of her class.
Devoted her life to medicine when she watched one of her former master's
children die of colera.
She is very friendly and has an outgoing personality.  Has been known to
be too "chatty" and "perky" at times.

Breed:  Austrailian Shepard

Special Abilities;  Levetation

Accent;  Austrailian

Description:  White and tan colored,  not quite the same "facial" features
as Collen, but close
 

Name:  Fydo

Rank:  Cadet

Background:  The son of Sport who was in the RR episode "The Dog That Knew
Too Much."  Begged (literally) to be admitted to the RR Academy, ranked
dead last in his graduating class.   Although very eager and enthusiastic,
Fydo is not your typical Road Rover.   Originally not assigned to the
Canius Minor, when he accidently stays on board the ship when it takes
off, it was decided that he was be reassigned as part of the crew.

Breed:  Uncertain, but definately favors his father

Special Abilities:  None

Accent:  American

Description:  Short and brownish white, looks like his father
 

Name:  Cactus Jake (or Jake)

Rank:  Ensign  (assigned to bridge crew)

Background:  He was born in Arlington, Texas and was raised on a dude
ranch.   He happens to be a distant cousin of Hunter.  High spirited and
always ready for a fight, Jake is your typical "rough and tumble" cowboy
type.

Breed: Golden Retriever

Special Abilities:  Has the same cold and heat ray abilities that Exile has

Accent:  Southern, with a strong Texas "draw"

Description:  Think of Hunter in a cowboy hat
 
 

Name: Calyspo

Rank:  Civilian  (School teacher/nanny)

Background:  Born in Kingston, Jamaica of a large family, she was
separated from her family at a very young age.  Grew up "on the streets"
of the city, when she ran into the Master while he was on vacation there.
 Placed in the transdogmafier, Calyspo showed that she has a remarkable
"way" with children, so she was assigned to Project Canius Minor

Breed:  Mixed, uncertain origins

Special Abilities: None

Accent:  Carribean

Description:   Looks like a female version of Pete from the Little
Rascals/Our Gang comedies.
