He isn't much in the eyes of the world
He'll never make history
No, he isn't much in the eyes of the world
But he is the world to me
My dad, now here is a man
To me he is everything strong
No, he can't do wrong, my dad
My dad, now he understands
When I bring him troubles to share
Oh, he's always there, my dad
When I was small I felt ten feet tall
When I walked by his side
And everyone would say "That's his son"
And my heart would burst with pride
My dad, oh I love him so
And I only hope that some day
My own son will say
"My dad...now here is a man"
Lucky held his father tight against him. Both he and Luke were crying when Liz and Laura entered the house. It was quite a sight to see them embracing each other so tightly.
WHen they heard the door close softly behind Liz and Laura, they pulle apart. NEither even tried to hide their joy at being reunited with manly indifference.
"He's alive baby!" Luke whispered to Laura.
"I know," she answered happily. She pulled them both into a tight embrace.
Liz stood off to the side, watching the happy family reunited. It was amazing at the joy emminating from their little circle.
Presently, they pulled apart. Lucky wiped away his tears adn asked, "Is Lulu asleep?"
Luke nodded and made a motion towards the stairs. "I'll go get her, she'll be so happy too...."
Lucky shook his head, "No, we don't want to put her in danger. I"ll tell her after we solve the problem."
Luke sighed and sat down, "What problem do we haev Cowboy?"
Lucky sat down on the ouch, pulling Liz down with him, "For the past four years I've been held captive by a man known only to me as 'Julius'. He was working in collaboration with one Helena Cassadine."
"The bitch," Luke swore, "I should have known."
"Whatever they were doing had something to do with you Dad. Supposedly this 'Julius' has ahd contact with you all these years. He might well be a business associate of yours or something. Only you three and Nikolas can and will know. I don't want to endanger others until we catch the bastard and bring down Helena. That's why Lulu can't know, not yet."
Luke looked thoughtful, "What does this Julius look like?"
Lucky answered, "Oh, I don't know. Medium build, shoulder length brown hair, face lookes as if its been distorted in a fire or something. A German accent."
Luke looked shocked, "Heir Kreig."
"YOU know who he is?" Lucky asked excitedly.
Luke nodded, "I've been working with him for 4 years to help him smuggle diamonds into the States. We were just in Germany while I held a meeting with him there. He's the only one I can think of that I know who matches taht description."
"My God," Laura breathed, "You mean you've been doing business with a man who has held our son captive for 4 long years? What is going on?"
Lucky sighed, "I ahev no idea mom. All I know is: at the beginning I tried to escape. I managed to get a phone call off to Elizabeth, but was pulled away before I could talk to her. I was then told if I made a move to escape again he would kill either Lulu or Elizabeth. I never tried again until I was flown here to Port Charles. I hoped I could alert you adn get to Liz before he did."
Luke shook his head, "I should have known, I should have known you would never be careless enough to leave candles burning. I should have known dental records can be switched, necklaces can be planted."
Lucky looked sadly at his fahter, "There was no way you could know dad. They planned it perfectly, right down to the last detail."
"WHo was in that fire?" Luke asked Lucky.
"I don't know," his son answered sadly, "and I have no way of knowing. Julius never volunteered taht information. I just pray it wasn't somebody we know."
Liz squeezed his hand, "Waht do we do now? Do we go after Helena and pray she'll lead us to Julius."
Lucky's answer was cut short by a knock on the door. Before anyone even rose to answer it, the door opened and somebody walked in.
