Ryan Reynolds

Michael "Berg" Eugene Bergen

At the tender age of 22, (born October 23, 1976) is now an instant star as Berg on this ratings success. He's a
6'1", brown-eyed, curly-haired, Scorpio, currently single and available, and having romantic tendencies, though
when asked his favorite thing to do on a date, he proclaims "have something pierced" (One time, while living in
L.A. he called his then-girlfriend in Vancouver and asked her to lunch, then flew all the way there to take her).
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, he now lives in Los Angeles with his dog Jobey and says he loves "the
surprises" there. He has three older brothers; one brother is a police officer, one is a painter, and the other is in
the police academy. His parents have been married for 35 years and are both very supportive of his acting
career. He's both a guy's guy and a ladies' man, having equally many friends of both sexes; in fact our favorite
trio claims to be best friends in real life as well.
A fan of Sarah McLachlan, Chet Baker, Verve and Matchbox 20 music and the book
"Confederacy of Dunces." (he's read it three times) And he loves fishing, scuba diving, sky
diving, and swimming in fresh water lakes.
Prior to joining the cast of TGAGAAPP, Reynolds was a regular in several series, including the
Canadian series "The Odyssey", and guest-starred in shows such as "The X-Files" and "The
John Larroquette Show". In addition, he has landed roles in features films "Ordinary Magic"
(during the production of which he failed his high school drama class) and "Life During Wartime",
as well as made-for-TV movies and miniseries "Serving in Silence: The Margarethe
Cammermeyer Story" and "Truman Capote's In Cold Blood". He even won a Youth in Film Award
nomination for Best Young Actor for his performance in the Nickelodeon series "Fifteen".
Here's the quote from the May 1998 issue of Seventeen referring to "Seinfeld": "My favorite episode was the
'Bizarro Jerry' one. And the other one was the show where the story started at the end and went back to the
beginning."
In real life, Reynolds is more like Pete than Berg. In fact, when Rich and Traylor are cracking up on the set, he is
the only one that can always keep a straight face. Though his fan base is building fast, he is often mistaken for
the guy from "Dawson's Creek". He proclaims himself a "leg man" and loves cake, especially when it's free.
