Episode 1
Quick recap from Season 1 Finale. Tony had found his long lost wife, Anna DiMera, only to be trapped in a room filling with poisonous gas as he tried
to leave with her.
All of Salem is on a trek to Skull Island to hopefully rescue Laura, Lexie, Jack, Jenn, Abby, and Celeste. Also to help Hope begin to peace together the missing parts of her past.
Jack, Jenn were rescued by Frankie Brady and being lead through secret tunnels to hopefully escape the island. They stumbled upon a prisoner being held in secret Storage Area Phoenix.
Now, on with the story!!!
~Cut to below Stefano's Island Hideaway~
Jennifer- My God! It is Roman Brady! But How...
Roman- Look I don't have alot of time to explain, Stefano has Marlena on this island, and I have got to find her and get the hell out of here. Jenn, what are you and Jack doing here?
Jenn- Us??? If you are here, who in God's name is in Salem?
Roman- You mean John Black?
Jenn- No!, I mean Yes....we heard he was discovered to be you after all! What is going on here?
Roman- Stefano has the answers, and he has got Marlena... Hey hold it right there!
~Roman points a gun at Frankie~
Jenn- No! Roman it is okay, he rescued us! He is on our side, you might say he is family to you?
Roman- What? Family????
Jenn- This is Frankie Brady...
Roman- Yeah, I heard Mom and Pop adopted two young kids but I never met them...Hey, Frankie, Bro, good to see you! But how did you find this place and why are you here?
~Roman and Frankie embrace~
Frankie- Roman, I cannot go into details right now. I have a partner in this mission who is gonna knock everyone's socks off when she is revealed, but for now, I can tell you I am CIA code name PHOENIX, we learned of your imprisonment and my God, you are my brother, if anyone was gonna spring you, it was me and I stepped up and volunteered. The agent helping me has personal stakes in this too, that cannot be discussed right now.
Roman- WOW! Looks like spy business runs in the family, huh kid?
Frankie- You might say that! Now you say Marlena is here???
Roman- Positive!
Jenn (interrupting)- You must be mistaken, before Jack and I got messed up in this, she was back in Salem safe and sound! Less than 3 weeks ago!
Roman- All I can tell you is I heard her voice and she sounded like she was in pain, she was calling out for me, now who else would do that?
Frankie- Who indeed? With Stefano behind this, it is hard telling what the hell is happening here.
Jack- Roman, do you have any idea which direction "Marlena" was taken in?
Roman- X Tunnel, wing Q.O.N....
Frankie- "Q.O.N?" I do not see that area on my maps, the CIA knows every inch of this compound....
Roman- I broke loose several days ago, and followed the cries for help, I can take us in that general direction, ALL that matters is Doc, I know it is her the details can be sorted out later.
Frankie- Lead the way Bro, if you say it is Marlena, then let's go get her!
~Roman leads Frankie, Jenn and Jack to Wing QON. Jack and Jenn look at each other with complete confusion. Frankie CIA? Who is his partner? If Roman is here, who is John Black after all? How can Marlena be here and in Salem at the same time~
~Cut to the main land of Skull Island. The plane carrying the "Salem Crew" has landed. A contact of Shane's meets them with a boat. They all board it and travel to Skull Island.~
~After a small journey, the boat arrives.~
Captain of boat- This is as far as I go compadre!
Shane- Why?
Captain- Skull Island is known for horrible goings on, screams are heard in the night, rumor has it that a living Demon haunts this island. No sir, senor, I will drop you off. Here is a hand held CB radio. When your mission is complete, call me, and I will be here inside 15 minutes to return you to the mainland.
~Everyone looks at each other, as they know full well who the demon is that the Captain spoke of.~
~They all step off the boat and are standing on the shoreline of Skull Island.~
~When off to the right, there it stands. Roman2 gets a blank stare on his face.~
Marlena- Roman, honey, what's the matter.
~Before he can answer...a shrill voice pierces the calm, still air....~
..."RRRROMAN"...."RRROMAN"...."RRROMAN"....."RRROMAN....."
Roman2- My God, Stefano DiMera...
Bo- That cliff, my God, the same one...the same one!
Roman2- I know, the same one I took a dive off of years ago...he is calling me out..challenging me, I have got to go..
Marlena- No way, will you go up there and face him alone! I will not lose you again!
Roman2- Doc, this is personal, unfinished business between Stefano and I. No need for you all to get involved. Besides, we are here on a rescue mission..
"rrroman...rrroman...rrroman"
Roman2- Doc, he is calling me out! I have to do this alone!
Marlena- No way! I lost you once to that maniac, never again. I won't get in your way, but I will not let you do this alone!
Shane- Roman, Marlena is right! You cannot face him alone, let one of us go with you...
Roman2- Not a chance! This is personal!
Marlena- And you are personal to me!
Bo- Listen, Bro, Shane, Abe, Steve, Kayla, Hope and I will go find the hostages, this is something you and Marlena should face together! I will not buck you on letting one of us go with you, but you and Marlena need to face this together!
Roman2- How can I argue with that! Shane, you take the CB, call for the boat in 1 hour! Whether Doc and I are back or not, you get on that boat with the rest and head for the mainland, you got me? No questions asked!
Shane- I got you, partner, be careful!
~Shane embarks with Abe, Bo, Steve, Kayla and Hope to find Laura and the rest of the hostages as Marlena and Roman2 make their way to the apex of Skull Island to face Stefano in what will be a final confrontation for one of them!!~
~Cut to interior Stefano's island compound.~
~The poisonous gas is filling the room at a rapid pace. Tony Dimera looks around as metal doors begin to enclose the room. His wife, Anna unconscious in his arms. He feels himself begin to succumb to the gas. He has to hold on for Anna, but he feels himself beginning to weaken. He stumbles towards one of the doors that is beginning to shut off the room for good and make a tomb for them both. To no avail, he does not reach it
in time. The room has sealed off. The gas pours in at a rapid pace. Tony realizes the end is now at hand. He is thankful he has found his wife. He embraces her, as the smoke engulfs them both. He is content to die as long as his wife is with him. bang! Tony hears an explosion ring out. Through a secret panel in the room, a figure steps through the smoke. Tony is barely coherent, he feels the figure pulling he and Anna to safety. The figure drags them both down a corridor to an area that the gas has not reached. Tony feels himself slowly regaining his senses. Anna begins to stir as well. Tony gazes upon the person who has saved both their lives. His eyes struggle to fixate on the person. He tries to mumble "thank you" but the
words will not come out. His throat is parched from the gas and he cannot speak a word. The figure removes a gas mask and hood from their head to reveal their face.....~
Person- Mr. DiMera can you hear me?
Tony- I...I....
Person- Don't try to speak, you are safe now. As soon as you and your wife can move, I will take you to the shoreline.
~Tony is still trying to focus on the person who has so kindly rescued he and his wife from a sure death. Finally he can see the person...can he believe his eyes? is he hallucinating? Is the gas playing tricks on him? He tries to
speak...~
Tony- Ho...Hop....Hope Brady is that you??????
~Cut to East Wing of Stefano's indoor compound.~
~The Salem Crew stumble upon a locked door~
Shane- Stand back everyone.
~Shane sets off an explosive and the door is jarred open. The smoke clears~
Abe- my God! Lexie! Lexie!
~Abe runs up to Lexie hugs her, embraces her, at long last his lost wife has been found. But something is wrong.. very wrong! Lexie has a blank stare on her face, is unresponsive to Abe~
Abe- Lexie? Lexie, it's me, it's Abe! Lexie??
~Shane and Steve approach with Bo~
Shane- Abe, Lexie has been brainwashed. Look at her, she does not know you, she does not know any of us!
Abe- What, what the hell?
Shane- Listen with Stefano running this show, this is his MO. Obviously Lexie is here against her will working in this grotesque laboratory concocting some sort of scheme for Stefano.
Bo- wait! Listen...
~Screams ring out from what seems to be below the laboratory floor~
Steve- Sounds like cries for help, coming from under the floor? How?
Bo- Remember we are dealing with Stefano here! There has got to be a trip switch to open a trap door, help me find it!
Shane- listen Abe, we need to get Lexie to the shoreline and back to Salem to reverse the brainwashing. Hope, Kayla, go with Abe, help him with Lexie. I have called the captain, he is on his way with the boat, find the shoreline, stay with Lexie, we will join you later...
Kayla- Steve, you be careful, we have alot to talk about.
Steve- I will, Sweetness. I will, but right now Lexie needs you, so you go!
Bo- Fancy Face, I promise you we will find out all we can from this island that might reveal your past. But right now we have to find our missing loved ones.
Hope- I know, you just come back in one piece....I cannot do this alone you know...
~Hope, Kayla and Abe leave for the shoreline with Lexie. Bo, Shane and Steve continue to search for the trip switch to open the trap door~
~Bo finds the trip switch behind a portrait of Marlena on the lab's main wall~
~The floor opens. Celeste is below in a cell. The three jump down and free her~
Shane- Celeste, can you lead us to Stefano and the others?
Celeste- There are no others here! Peter escaped from the island with Abby in hand. You will not believe this! Frankie Brady showed up and he, Jack and Jenn went looking for Laura and Abby. I was recaptured by one of Stefano's henchman and jailed here. Stefano had Alexandra working on some formula to do God knows what. I tried to spy and get all the information I could. I had to free Alexandra, but each time my efforts were thwarted by some Chambermaid of Stefano's named Peeeepers.
Steve- What? Frankie?
Bo- Frankie was here. Where did they go with Jack and Jenn? We need to find them and get off this island.
Celeste- All I heard was something about phoenix. That is all I know.
Shane- Wasn't Stefano called The Phoenix?
Steve- Right, but what does that mean?
Voice from behind them- Wouldn't you just like to know?
~They turn around and see Lawrence Alamain and Andrew Donovan with guns pointed at them all~
Lawrence- You see, what we have here are a bunch of do-gooders poking their noses in where they do not belong. And lookie who we found in the corridor.
~Henchman Rocco Thomas brings in Hope, Kayla, Abe and Lexie at gunpoint~
Andrew- Trying to organize a run for the shoreline dear brother?
Shane- Andrew, still doing Stefano's dirty work?
Andrew- Do you see him here? Nope, I have a new boss now, but you might say, that we have a unique partnership with Stefano though.
Shane- What kind of partnership?
Andrew- Kind of a "you give me what I want and I will give you what you want!"
Shane- What could you have that Stefano could want and what does he have that you want?
Lawrence- It is not what Andrew wants but what I want. Now if you all would be so kind, we have a meeting on the top of a cliff to attend.
Bo- Roman, Roman and Stefano!!
Lawrence- Roman? Indeed....What surprises await you all!
Andrew- now move it!!
~Andrew, Lawrence, and Stefano henchmen all lead Steve, Bo, Shane, Abe, Lexie, Hope, Kayla and Celeste through corridors leading to the mountain top.....the mountain top where fates will be decided and a life put in danger!!~
~Cut back to the underground compound.~
~Frankie and crew make their way down deep, darkly lit corridors until they finally reach a dungeon area. The initials "Q.O.N" are enscribed above the entranceway~
Frankie- QON? There are those initials you mentioned...any idea what they mean?
Roman1- Sure..think it over. We are dealing with Stefano here. QON? Queen of the Night!! No doubt, Doc is here!
~Cut to top of Skull Island mountain.~
~Roman2 and Marlena make their way to the top of the cliff~
Stefano- Well, well, well! Roman Brady! And, Marlena, my lovely Queen of the Night. How wonderful it is to see you again.
~Roman2 approaches Stefano, tells Marlena to stay behind~
Roman2- Stefano Dee-Mera! Imagine seeing you here! Like coming back to the scene of the crime, huh?
Stefano- Scene of the crime? For whom?
Roman2- What's the matter old man? Losing your mind after all these years? Same cliff you tossed me over 14 years ago and left me for dead? That ring a bell?
Stefano- No, cannot say that it does. AHHH, yes this is where I threw Roman Brady off the cliff yes! Oh what a day that was!
Roman2- What's with the name game?
Stefano- Just what I said, I threw Roman Brady off the cliff...
Roman2- Enough with the mind games, the hostages where are they?
Stefano- Why must you always push towards the final act? You never could enjoy the beauty of the game! All in due time my friend. All in due time...
Roman2- I have had it with your games---
~Roman2 grabs Stefano and the two begin to fight. A classic battle ensues~
~Marlena screams in panic as the two fight. Punches are thrown, words exchanged. One man draws very close to the edge...close enough to lose his footing, one more blow and a 200 foot fall awaits him....~
Voice- That is quite enough! I suggest that you not drop Mr. DiMera that is if you ever want to see your lovely friends alive again!
~Roman2 pulls Stefano back up on the ledge. He turns around to see Lawrence and Andrew Donovan with Stefano henchmen everywhere holding all his friends and now Marlena at gunpoint~
Roman2- Larry Alamain, I might have known! Shane's twin still up to no good!
Stefano- Ahhh, I see you have brought me my prize, Mr. Alamain!
Lawrence- First give me my prize, Stefano!
Stefano- By all means!
~Stefano henchmen come behind Roman2 and lead him towards Lawrence~
Lawrence- Thank you so kindly. Now Ms. Hope Brady, kindly make your way to Stefano.
Bo- no way!
~Bo lunges out to stop hope and a gun is thrust into his throat~
Andrew- Uh, Mr. Brady, I suggest that you not make that move again! Take a look around, there are Stefano gunman everywhere...do you like playing Russian Roulette that much?
~Bo backs off~
Bo- What do you want Hope for?
Stefano- She is my prize....
Marlena- Roman! Roman! NO! Why are you turning my husband over to Lawrence Alamain? Why?
Stefano- Husband? RRReally Marlena, I thought you to be much smarter than that?
Marlena- What, what do you mean? He found papers, at Maison Blanche..
Stefano- carefully planted papers I might add, all part of a grander scheme, my dear!
Roman2- What are you telling me, that I am NOT Roman Brady? You think I am gonna believe a scum like you?
Stefano- Facts are facts.....Now Hope you will come with me!
~Immediately, Roman2 breaks free, grabs a gun from a henchman and then grabs Stefano and puts the gun to his head~
Roman2- I don't know what the hell is going on here, but no one move! Shane, Bo, Steve, Abe, get their guns!
~Shane and the rest turn the tables on Stefano's henchman and have Lawrence and Andrew at gunpoint as well~
Roman2- Now everyone be cool and the big boss man here will live. Shane, did you pass any corridors below where you can lock these clowns up in?
Shane- Sure thing---
~Just then words ring out from the opposite side of the cliff...~
Nobody move!
~Frankie Brady, Jenn, Jack, Marlena and Roman1 are all standing with guns pointed~
Roman1- What the hell? Doc?
Marlena1- Roman? Then who is...
Marlena2- Marlena?
Roman2- Roman? Then who the hell am I?
~In all the confusion, gunshots ring out, scuffles ensue, mass hysteria and confusion reigns~
~Once again Stefano and Roman2 find themselves battling it out near the cliff..........~
~One man looses footing............~
~One lonely figure falls to his doom!~
