Spoilers: Well, you should read the first part (The New Girl in Town). But if you are lazy and didn't do it, here is the low down, A new girl came, caught Dawson's eye and he asked her out. That good? Enjoy and send me FEEDBACK!!!!

Out on the docks, with the moonlight shining down, it was the most romantic setting. If it hadn't been for the fact that Samara had just dashed away from Dawson. He kept replaying the whole scene in his mind. What could I have done wrong? I set this whole first date to be perfect.

::Flashback of what just happened (twilight music DODODODO)

"Samara this has been a really great night" Dawson said. They were getting of the little row boat. After a moonlight cruise and dinner he had thought he had won this wonderful girl over.

Samara closed her eyes and breathed in the fresh, Maine air. Not at all like the humid, nasty air of Virginia. "Yeah..." She trailed off, lost in the moment. She leaned forward to kiss the soft lips that she had been yearning for all night. He kissed her back too. All of sudden she came back to reality. Realizing what she was doing she stepped back murmuring something about being late and ran off.

Joey was late. Dawson had bailed on the baby-sitting job and now at the last minute she had to do something drastic. She called...Pacey. As much as she didn't want to it was her last resort. Not only to find out that he only agreed if Andi could come. Oh great, now Alex is going to get the first glimpse of the birds and the bee's...From PACEY. But she had to admit, he was good with Alex. Brushing her hair for the twentieth time and dotted some lip gloss. At last the door bell rang. Jumping to her feet she flung the door open.

"Thank God Pacey. I am so angry at Dawson for being such a child about this. Honestly, he needs to learn responsibly." She complained to her friend.

Pacey just flashed her a smile and stepped into the house "Well, I, Pacey Witter, the best gosh darn baby-sitter is at your service. And don't worry about Dawson, he's got his mind in, well lets just say...tall blondes lately"

"What the heck are you talking about Pacey. Nevermind, I really don't want to know. Jack is going to be so angry I am just going to run. Bye." Pacey surveyed his surroundings. Taking a deep breath he plopped down on the couch. Listening for any crying coming from the crib and hearing none, he relaxed. The he heard a knock on the door. Getting up he combed his hands through his fingers and glanced in the mirror. Opening the door he flashed his best charming smile to his girlfriend.

"Hey Pacey. I am so frustrated! My mother wouldn't calm down before I left. I am really sorry. Jack is going to be late for Joey's date too. I hope she doesn't get angry. How long have you been here?" As usual Andi was talking a mile a minute. Pacey couldn't help but look on in admiration.

"Not too long. Its good Jack is late because our own little Ice princess is also." Taking her hand and leading her toward the couch. Nestling his head on her next and pulling her close he whispered "and now, its time for our own little date."

Jen staggered into Dawson's room. She had barely made it up the ladder let alone climbing in through the window. Looking around in the haze of drunkenness she saw no one in there and decided to crash until he returned. "God, why do I do this to myself?" she asked aloud. putting her hands over her eyes she passed out.

Dawson wondered aimlessly about the town. Not really knowing what to look for. The only thing he knew was that he was on a mission. Didn't know what mission. Just knowing that he wouldn't stop until he found out what it was. His eyes darted here and there. Over the water flickering with stars in the clear night. Picturing Samara he sat down on a bench. Exhausted he let out a long sigh. Put his hands on his head and closed his eyes. He saw how gorgeous Samara looked that night. She had worn a long skirt that flowed in the wind and a light, airy shirt. She had put lots of tiny little braids in her long hair and skin was so soft looking. He rubbed his lips remembering the kiss. He had been so shocked. Just then he saw Joey and Jack holding hands walking down toward him. His heart jumped to his throat. He knew he was still in love with Joey. Was Samara just a rebound? Knowing that he didn't want to run into them he got up and headed home. Forgetting the mission, now torn between Joey and Samara. Yep, the same old senario. new girl verses long time love. But now with the twist that Joey didn't like him.

Jack and Joey strolled through town. It was one of the most beautiful nights. The sky was clear and there were millions of stars. "Jack, thanks, well, for everything." Joey said.

Jack gave her a questioning look, "For what? All I did was fall for you."

"I know, but you saved me from falling so far in love with Dawson that I would never find myself." She leaned over to kiss his cheek. Jack pulled away, opening his mouth as if to say something and then decided better. Then he pulled her tight and kissed her on the lips. One of those soft kisses that leaves you wanting more. Joey felt all tingly inside. She was so happy that she found Jack. He was so perfect for her. But she couldn't help worrying about Dawson. He had seemed kinda shaken lately. Oh well, she leaned and kissed him more passionately.

"Uh...Dawson, I feel like I should give you an explanation for what happened." Samara had startled him once again, she always seemed to do that but in a weird kind of way he liked it.

He looked in her eyes and told her that she didn't have to explain as long as she would have one more date with him.

She wanted to say yes, she really did, but he just didn't know her. "Dawson, listen. I REALLY like you, I mean you are smart, fun, sexy, oh man are you sexy, and well, you just don't know me..."

Dawson cut her off right there, "How can I know if you don't let me in? Samara, don't think that you are the only one that has problems or wants to hide yourself! I just like YOU, the person I asked on the date, anything else I can learn about you will just make me like you more." He didn't want to fight but how else could he let her know how much he liked her.

"Listen, this is just such horrible timing. If you had told me you liked me last month then I would have been all over the chance. But now, I think, oh God. How do I begin to explain?" Samara was almost in tears now. Dawson was amazed, this girl had let him in and let him see some emotions. She had held up her guard for so long he didn't know what to expect.

Why is Samara like this? What will happen as Jack and Joey's relationship becomes more physical? Just keep watching for more stories by ME, Shai. Bye for now!
