Part 5
Sonny walked down to the docks. He leaned against the same lampost Brenda did, before she offered to become his mistress. God she looked beautiful that day. He loved her so much. He then got teary eyed., As his eyes blinked tears escaped. Brenda's words wrung over and over in his head. "Get out Get out. You threw away our love,love,love .. Theres nothing left....." As the angers of his past actions built up inside of him his herat swelled and emotions flooded he punched the lampost.
S- Damn it Brenda! Will you ever forgive me for leaving you so that you could live?
Back in Brenda's hospital room She lays back and thinks about how much she loves Sonny and how harsh she wass to him. Then Alan interupts her thoughts.
A- Hi Brenda how are you feeling?
B- Physically better. Emotionally- destroyed.
A- Did you think about seeing kevin Collins?
B- I'll keep that in mind.
A- Well I have some good news for you. You can go home today. All you have to do is sign these release forms.
B- Home?
A- Yes. Here you go.She signs the forms . Alan leaves and Brenda gets dressed.
Sonny walks into his hotel room. He looks around the dark empty room. the room was like his life, dark, empty and shallow.He wonders if coming back was a mistake. He sat down and for one hour all he thought about were his mistakes that he has made throught he years. He poured himself another glass of scoth That would be his fifth. He couldn't even see straight.
Meanwhile a bruised Brenda steps out of the elevators of Harbor View Towers.... She walks to Jasons door and bangs on it.
Renaldo- Mrs. Jacks I'll get Mr. Morgan.
B- It's ms. Barrett and then get him!
(Opens the door
R- MS. Roberts, Ms. Barrett is here to see mr. Morgan.
C- I'll get him he's with Michael.
(Carly comes back and Brenda is sitting on the couch l;ost in her thoughts about all the times Her and Sonny were together in this house. She thought back to the morning of there wedding when he placed the ankle bracelet on her. She was sitting in that same spot!
C- Brenda?
B- Yeah.
C- He'll be right down.
B- thanks.
C- How are you?
B- Ok The doctors say the bruises will go away in a matter of days. thanks for asking. (Carly smiles as Jason walks down the stairs with Michael. She pictures Sonny walking down the stairs with their baby)
C- Here let me take him.
J- Thanks(sighs) Brenda. What can I do for you?
B- Well I blew up at Sonny. Jason I still love him but I don't rust him. I can't forgive him for what he did to me. i want to forgive him but I need to know the truth first so that I can trust him again.
J- So then trust him.
B- i can't. I have been told he left me at the altar on what was supposed to be the greatest day of both of our lives, because he didn't love me, that he used me. And now he tells me that he left me because he loved me. All I want isd the truth. I think I deserve to know why the man I love left me on our wedding day.
J- Your right but it isn't up to me to tell you. Sonny has to.
B- I can't go to him. Jason I trusted him with my life and he lied to be and broke my heart do you have any idea how he hurt me. I have to know why he did tyhat to me.
J- Brenda, i gave my word,
B- Yeah but it doesn't count. He's back. Wait He told you you couldn't tell mne why he left. He has already told me. All I want to know is what made him leave. Leave me because He Loved Me.
J- Fine sit. He was marrying you until it was time to go to the church. A few nights before the wedding he was led to the docks by the Tinman. He wasn't dead. He killed Joseph and was about to kill Sonny (She closes her eyes and tears escape them) He stuggled with the gun and shot the tin man. Thats why his eye was swollen. He statred to act strangely when he looked at family photos of Josephs. We had to tell his family and He didn't want some one going to tell you the same thing. The night before the wedding some guy name Reese told him you and Sonny would die. That shook him up. Then the day of the wedding he wouldn't have you die becasue of him.
B-(crying) Like lily.
J- Look Brenda i told you what I knew, Now the rest is up to you and Sonny.
B- thanks Jason.
(She leaves After the door is closed she leans against it and closes her eyes and cries. She thinks then races out of there.
Meanwhile a drunken walks on the docks and hears some one.
S- Whos there>?
Then The footsteps come closer and a shot is fired and Sonny goes down. The we See Brenda Walking down the steps of the docks crying then she sees Sonny and Screams)
B-NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Part 6
B- Noooooooo! Sonny! Baby Please Dont Leave Me! I love you! You have to live so we can have our second chance. Please! I can't live without you again. ( She takes out her cellphone and dials 911) HEllo Yes, Sonny Corinthos has been shot on Pier 11. I don't know there is alot of Blood He goes in and out of conscience. Ok. Please Hurry.
(She hangs up) Now Sonny you have to wake up.( his eyesopen) Hi Baby!
S- Bree nn ddd aaa?
B- Yeah baby. It's me The ambulance is on it's way. They told me I have to keep you awake. So listen ok? I want you to fight. There is no way I can bear losing you again. I wan't us to have a second chance. Who knows in a few years to come we will be happily married with a family. Would you like that? (He nodds) I knew you would. Sonny Promise me you won't leave me not after I have just found out the truth. I know it all and i believe in you again. I'm sorry about the things I said before.
S- Who told you?
B- Jason (smiles) Sonny I love you so much!
S- I lov---- ( He falls out of conscienceness)
B- Sonny?
(The ambulance arrives and they take Sonny and Brenda to the Hospital when they arrived They immediately took sonny into the ER. And BRenda called, Mike Luke Laura and Family, Mary Scanlon, Robin Jason, And lois and Ned. They all came and Are waiting for news on Sonny.
Alan- Brenda- I don't know what to say but--
B- NNOOOOOOOOO!!!! Not My Sonny!!!!!!!!
A- BRenda he's alive but we don't think he's gonna make it through the night.
B- No Alan You have to do something! You can't make Sonny Die! Please!!!!!!!! NOOOOO SONNY I love you don't die on Me Damn It! (She falls to the floor and brings her knees to her chest and sobbs. Lois sees Brenda and Starts to cry also and NEd cosoles her Mike kneels next to Brenda)
M- BRenda Stop This Pull yourself together Sonny wouldn't want you this upset.
(With that Brenda Stands up and Screams at Mike) B- Mike! What is wrong with you Sonny is your Son! And HE's dying and all you could say is don't be upset. I thought you loved him. Now I don'y know how You feel But the Man That I lOve more Than Anything Is in that room fighting to live And There's nopthing I can do! I Love Him! SOONNNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!
She picks up a the chair and throws it at the wall. Jason and Robin run to her.
J- Brenda.
B- I'm sorry! Alan can I see him.
A- Yes!
Brenda walks into the room She starts to cry She sits next to Him.
B- Sonny, baby please wake up. I can't take this anymore. I love you. So much it hurts. I guess Love hurts. Listen If you don't make it I will die. I had so much hope when I left Jason. I had all my dreams back. Remember all those dreams we built together. The dreams of me and You in our house. Dreams of us as parents. I want you to wake up and I want to be married to youy as soon as you wake up so Please Wake up For us and our future. Our future TOGETHER! Don't you want a family with me? Can you imagine how great that will be! Please! Sonny Corinthos Wake up! Please? She stands over him and Kisses him gently on the lips then she takes his hand and looks at his fingers. She closed her eyes and remebered all the times those fingers slid through her hair and touched her. Sh opened her eyes and The She brushed his hair out of his face and remembered all the times she did that before. Then she kissed him again and remebered all the times he kissed her and made love to her. How she yearned to be held by him right now!She took his arms and placed them on her face close to her lips where he would always put them when he kissed her. Then Amy came in.
A- Brenda? I hate to interupt but I thought you might want these. They were in his pocket when they brought him in. (She hands Brenda and Envelope and then leaves) Brenda open the envelope and gasps and slides to the floor crying. She took out her diamond bracelet and anckle bracelet. But She was hysterical when she held Adella's engagement ring. She held it and cried. She wondered how he got this.She put it on her pinky and the bracelets where they belonged.
She stood up and took Sonny's hand.
B- Sonny Wake up! Please. Please! ( His eyes begin to flutter) Sonny?? Baby Your awake.
S- Looks at her pinky and sees the ring.) Your ring. You found it.
B-Yes.
S- C'mere It's on the wrong finger. (He takes it off her pinky and slides it on her left ring finger then kissed it.) Will you marry me?
B ( Srying and smiling) Yes Sonny Yes! ( He closes his eyes and she looks at him and then the machines and backs away in shock)
Part 7
BRenda continued to look at the heart machine that was flatlined. She stood in shock and let out one cry . Then a scream followed.
B- NOOOOOOOO!
(Then Bobbie, Amy and Alan rush in.
Bo- Brenda I think you should wait outside.
B- (stunned) Bobbie help him! You can't let Sonny die No!!! Please.
Bo- We won't I can promise that. Let's go.
They walk out of the room and Bobbie motions for Mike and Luke to help Brenda.
M- What is happening.
Bo- Sonny is flatlining. I have to go.
(She leaves)
M- Come on BRenda lets go sit.
B- Mike he can't die. He woke up and we spoke. HE kissed me. And then he (she starts to cry)
M- SSHh don't worry BRenda. Sonny will make it. ( he takes her hand and notices the ring. She sees him looking at it)
B- Amy cam e in and gave me a envelope that was in Sonny's pocket. It had my ankle bracelet and tennis bracelet and Adella's ring in it So I put the ring on my pinky finger. ( Everyone is listening to her) The when he woke up he noticed the ring on my pinky finger and he took it off and placed it on the other finger and asked me to marry him. After I said yes he well- the machines went off. And- Oh god!
Lois- Brenda (in tears) Sonny is gonna make it and You will get married adn We will all be there,
B- You don't get it I was so mean to him before he got shot. I hatre myself for being that way!
(She gets up and walks over to the window and she sees Them shocking Sonny. SHe crys and touches the glass. She thinks back to all the times they saved each other and she wihed she could save them now. Then she felt the sudden feeling to get out of there. Without saying a word tpo anyone she left. She ran and ran never stopped crying. Then she ran down the stairs to the docks and cried as she sat on the bench. After a while she looked at her engagement ring. She touched the figer it laid on the finger Sonny kissed and she brought it to her lips.)
B- Sonny will we ever get married? Have babies? Will we ever make love under the sunset?. Oh god I love you so much and I only want you to live. Why does everything go wrong for us. IF we get our second chance we will be so happy. ANd I will finally be your wife and you will be my husband.
( She stood up and went back to the hospital. When she got off the elevator and Lois rushed over to her.
B- What is it?
Lo- They took him into surgery They have his heart beating but they have to regulate it and he needs open heart surgery.
B- Oh my god! (she walks over to the room Sonny was in and touched the bed where he laid, Then she laid down and curled up on it too. She cried.
1 hour later Brenda is in the waiting room and Alan walks over to them.
(It's all in slow motion and BRenda doesn't see him walking to her she picks up her head and sees him Then he comes to her SHe stands up.)
A- Brenda The surgery went well but he is holding his own now. There is no guarantee he will make it and well the odds of him surviving are not good.
(She looks around then she walks over to Sonny's room and sees them transfering him to the bed. She falls to the floor and screams.)
B- Sonnnyyyy!!
They all walk over to her.
Alan- Brenda you could stay with him If you want.
She looks at him and nodds her head. Then walks into his room. Alan closes the door.
B- Sonny please baby wake up and make it through this. (silence) I love you so much honey. Then she takes his hands and holds them and falls asleep.
It's about 3 a.m. and she is sleeping. Then Sonny's eyes open and sees Brenda holding his hands sleeping. He moves his fingers and the movement awakes Brenda and she sees him.
B- Sonny. Oh gosh. Baby. She kisses him gently on the lips then the cheek nose and then his hands.
S- Brenda I love you.
B- i know and your gonna be ok and we will be together. Oh Sonny I'm so excited. LEy me go get Alan.
S- No don't go.
B- Oh baby I love you so much. They kiss but then she goes outside.
B- Alan HE's Up!
(after Alan examines him he tells Brenda Sonny is expected to fully recovery. The next few days Brenda doesn't leave his sight Sonny is sleeping and Brenda is standing up looking out the window and looking at her engage ment rings. then Sonny wakes up and sees Brenda looking at the ring.)
S- brenda? Whats wrong?
B- Nothing well it's just that I was thinking how I almost lost you aagain. And we almost never got married or had a chance to have a family again. I guess I just don't want to wait anymore I don''t- Sonny will you marry me know?
Part 8
S- Now?
B- You don't want to marry me?
S- No No I do baby more than you'll ever know. But I mean you want to get married right now in a hospital room. I thought you wanted a big wedding with you wearing a beautiful white dress and me like a maniac waiting for you at the altar. It should be what you have always dremed of.
B- It's just that I love you and I was so close to losing you. I want to be with you. When I found you on the docks I felt like someone knocked the wind out of me because I had finally found out why you left and I was ready to tell you all I wanted was you and that I understand your reason to leave and I forgive you. But then I found you shot and then the doctors said I might lose you forever. I felt like dying because I thought our chances were through. Sonny I can't live without you anymore. Thats why I think we should get married as soon as you get released. Is that ok with you?
S- C'mere ( She walks over and he patts his hand on the space on the bed that is empty and she sits. He takes her hand) I Love you more than I ever thought I was capable. I asked you to marry me and I mean it and i want to marry you more than anything So when I am released we will get married. So you better decide on everything and I will arrange it.
B- Are you serious?
S- As a heart attack. ( She smiles and leans down for a kiss but Sonny teases her and doesn't kiss her)
B- Well?
S- What .
B- (Giggles) Shut up and kiss me. (HE does with all his might and then he starts to pull away but she gets stronger and they get really passionate then Mike walks in)
M- Ahh! (He turns around and Brenda pulls away laughing)
B- No Mike stay.
S- Yeah.
M- Well you two seemed well forget it(Sonny grins)
S- Don't worry it wasn't gonna go that far- not while I have all these wires in my arms.
(Brenda smiles shyly)
B- Sonny!
M- So how are you feeling?
S- Better I can't wait to get out of here. Bren, you want to tell him?
B- I think you should.
M- Tell me what?
S- Well as soon as i get out of here me and Brenda are goin to get married.
M- michael that's wonderfuol congradulations. (He hugs him then goes over to Brenda and Hugs her) I finally get to have you as my daughter.(She smiles and kisses him on the cheek)
B- Thanks Mike.
M- Well I better get going I will come back later.
S- Ok.
(He leaves Brenda goes and sits back on the bed)
B- Sonny?
S- What.
B- I was thinking wouldm't be nice if we got married in Puerto Rico on the beach we're we made love?
S- WHatever you want baby.
B- Yeah?
(He kisses her)
S- Anything! (They kiss)
Part 9:
Two days later Sonny snd Mike are in Sonny's hospital room.Talkin when Brenda runs in.
B- Hey baby I missed you. (She runs into his arm. and kisses him. Mike clears his throat)
B- Oh sorry Mike.
S- You seem happy.
B- I just spoke to Alan he sadi you'll be able to come home tomorrow.
S- Great I can't wait to bust this joint.
M- I better be going. I'll see you soon Michael It was good seeing you Brenda.
B- Bye Mike.
(Mike leaves and Brenda crawls up on the bed and kisses him)
B- I can't wait till you get out of here and we go home to bed. I've missed you.
S- Oh you have have you?
B- Yeah. I am so lonely in that big bed all by myself.
S- Well tomorrow we'll change that.
The next afternoon. Brenda is helping SOnny on with his shirt. Alan walks in.
A- Sonny, Brenda good afternoon. I have your release forms that you have to sign.
S-Ok Thanks.
(He signs the papers and leaves in the limo. Brenda is sitting on his lap)
B- SOnny can we go to the docks before we go home?
S- Sure but why?
B- Well I just want to go for a walk with you. I want to hold your hand and just walk up the docks.
S- Ok sweetie what ever you want. Driver to the docks.
(They arrive at the docks and they are walking hand in hand on the docks. Brenda's head is rested on Sonny's shoulder)
S- So why are we really here?
B- You'll see.
S- Oh I will will I .
(She kisses him.
B- Yeah. I can't believe we're going to get married. So when do you want to tie the knot?
S- As soon as possible. I'll make the arrangements tomorrow. How about a week from now?
B- Are you serious?
S- Yeah.
B- Ahh! In one week I'll be Mrs. Corinthos. I can't wait.
(They start to kiss They get really into and don't see the man behind the bushes.)
S- Let's go home.
B- Yeah (breathless)
(They walk into the PH kissing. They don;t Stop as he leads her up stairs. They start to shed their clothing as they walk up the stairs. the arrive at their rom. Sonny stops kissing her and notices all the candles and rose petals.)
B- I had Lois do it when we were at the docks. I wanted it to be special.
(he kisses her more. Then Picks her up and gently lays her on the bed. They continue to kis and as they lay back they become one.)
The next morning At the docks we see the back of a man.
M- I want you to take care of it. I won't let Corinthos marry her. What? Is it set. What do you mean what? The kidnapping. Good Then tomorrow you grab her and Jonesy will take out Corinthos.
(At the PH. Sonny is awake and Brenda is sleeping in his arms HE kisses her forhead then her nose, lips and she stirs than finally wakes up.)
S- hey Beautiful.
B- Morning. What time is it?
S- 10:30.
B- We have to get up. I have to invite everyone to the wedding snd you have to make the arrangements.
S- Dont worry baby everything will be fine.
B- Well I am going to go in the shower. care to join me?
S- Sure.
(The hapoy couple goes in the shower. While a anonimus man roams the docks planning his revenge on Sonny.
