INTRODUCTION:
Welcome
to the second episode of Brooke and Thorne. Hopefully, you've
already read the pilot, "One Wedding and One Funeral? Part 1". If not, you might
want to go back and catch up. And now... the episode you've all been waiting
patiently for... "One Wedding and One Funeral, Part 2." Enjoy.
Previously
on Brooke and Thorne:
[Macy, in a wedding dress, arrives at the altar and takes Thorne’s hand.
Brooke leaves the chapel in tears.
Outside the chapel, Brooke and Taylor]
TAYLOR: I
had no idea until Ridge and I arrived at the church...
BROOKE:
[crying] I can't believe it! How could he do that to me??? He swore he loved
me.
[Brooke’s house, she is taking pills then sits on the sofa with Thorne’s
picture against her heart.
Still Brooke’s house. Brooke is falling asleep.]
TAYLOR:
[pointing the empty box of pills] Brooke did you take one of those?… how many
were there left???? Brooke???
At the chapel Macy is crying
STEPH:
Macy! he must have said something... you can't leave your own wedding without
saying anything!
MACY:
[visibly upset and totally clueless] I don't understand... he just said:
"I'm sorry I have to go" and that was it! he left!
[Cut to Myles and Kimberly]
MYLES: You
sister should not marry this Forrester... Can you believe this guy? Leaving
without giving an explanation...
[Cut to Brooke’s house when Ridge and Eric enter.
There only is Taylor left.]
ERIC:
Taylor will you please tell us where they've gone?
TAYLOR: why
don't you come with me? I was about to join them... You need to see by
yourselves what you two have done...
And now the conclusion
[OPENING CREDITS: As the first scene fades out, the opening guitar riff
of "Oh! Darling" (track
4 on Abbey Road, by the Beatles) strums. The opening verse to the song plays while the show's
opening sequence starts... Winsor Harmon’s name floats lazily across the
screen from right to left,
as KKL's name floats from left to right. There are pics from the real B&B tv show appearing
successively on the screen: Brooke and Thorne kissing for the first
time, Brooke in a teddy with Macy
and Thorne, Stephanie at Big Bear trying
to strangle Brooke, Thorne bending over his mother when she had her stroke, Eric, Ridge and Thorne
arguing and Thorne pushing Taylor out of Ridge’s office and
then holding Brooke. Meanwhile, "Oh! Darling" is nearing the
end of the first verse, and the Brooke and
Thorne logo has begun to draw itself on the screen. When the logo is complete, it glistens (a la
the
Cheers logo). The song cuts to
the beginning of the final verse ("Believe me, darlin'") and the screen
fades to... ]
[SCENE: An hospital corridor: Taylor, Ridge and Eric are walking
rather fast while talking.]
ERIC:
Taylor now come on, tell us what we’re doing here… no more mysteries… For God’s
sake, there is a bride waiting for her groom
TAYLOR: and
whose fault is it? [turning to Ridge] didn’t I tell you this was a bad idea?
Did you even listen to me? No!!! you two wanted to have it your own way and you
have to see the results of your actions now.
RIDGE: ok,
calm down and tell us why we are here. Are we supposed to meet some one who
knows where Brooke and Thorne are?
TAYLOR:
actually you are going to see them
ERIC: What?
What the hell are they doing there? [then suddenly worried] Did they have an
accident?
TAYLOR: I
wouldn’t call it an accident…
[SCENE: Thorne is in an hospital room… Brooke is in the bed,
really pale. She seems to be sleeping. Thorne stands near the bed on her left
and has her hand in his while he speaks to the doctor who is standing near the
door facing the bed.]
THORNE:
[relieved] so you think she’s going to be ok?
DOCTOR:
yes, Mrs Forrester will be fine. She needs a lot of rest and she’ll be weak for
awhile. But she will be ok, physically I mean.
THORNE: oh
thank god!
DOCTOR: You
must know that under certain circumstances I have to advice you to make her see
a therapist… so that this… hm… kind of thing never happens again.
THORNE: I
understand. But these were particular circumstances, you see, it was a terrible
misunderstanding and I swear this will never happen.
DOCTOR: yes
but you should be prudent with this.
[Silence]
THORNE:
will she be able to leave the hospital soon?
DOCTOR: how
soon?
THORNE:
like tomorrow…
DOCTOR:
[surprised] this is too soon Mr Forrester.
THORNE: I’m
afraid that the people who led her to take these pills might bother her again…
So I would like to make her leave L.A. a.s.a.p. … I promise I’ll take good care
of her and I’ll hire a nurse to come with us.
DOCTOR:
[hesitating] I don’t know… [silence] if you promise that she won’t have to make
any efforts and if tomorrow she is a lot better, I might, I repeat I “might”,
allow you to sign her out.
[Thorne has a huge smile on his face and shakes the doctor’s hand (a
little too much).]
THORNE:
thank you so much doctor… for everything that you’ve done.
DOCTOR:
[leaving] I hope your wife we’ll be fine… Take good care of her.
[Thorne smiles and does not correct his
mistake.]
The chapel.
[SCENE: The bride’s room… Macy, Stephanie, Sally, Darla and
Kimberly.
Macy is sitting in her wedding dress, crying and looking like a giant
meringue.]
MACY: Where
is he??? [turning to Sally] mom?
SALLY:
[holding her] I don’t know sweetie [to Stephanie, aggressively] where the hell
is gone your son? I knew a Forrester couldn’t behave! But this!?! How dare he
treat my Macy like this?
STEPH:
[clueless, worried for Macy and angry at Sally] I have no idea but I know my
son: he MUST have a good reason… [She walks away thinking out loud] Where are
you Thorne? you must come back… [turning
to Macy] I’ll go phone Eric, he must have found him by now… Don’t worry Macy,
you two will get married in no time.
The hospital waiting room.
[SCENE: Thorne is by the coffee machine which obviously doesn’t
want to give him what he asked for since he is shaking it and kicking it.
Taylor, Ridge and Eric arrive…
Taylor sees Thorne and is anxious to see him so nervous.]
ERIC to
Taylor: what do you mean by “not exactly an accident”? Are they injured ? what…
[then suddenly seeing Thorne, he quickly walks to him relieved] thank God you
are ok! I was so wor…
[He doesn’t have enough time to finish, Thorne
punches him and Eric falls down. Ridge pushes Thorne away and helps Eric to get
up.]
RIDGE: Are
you insane? Why did you do that?
THORNE:
WHY???? You dare ask WHY????
TAYLOR:
Please, the three of you: calm down!
ERIC: it’s
ok Taylor, I guess I deserved it somehow… Thorne, I’m sorry that we didn’t warn
you about the wedding
THORNE:
[almost laughing with anger] sorry??? That’s all you have to say? Are you also
sorry that you asked Brooke to come and see this…this… parody of marriage?
RIDGE: we
thought that it could be a way to make her understand that you and Macy
belonged together
THORNE:
[turning to Ridge and completely disgusted] Oh yeah? That’s what you thought?
You didn’t realize a second that that was cruel and mean? You didn’t even think
of the consequences? How it could affect her? You too selfish bast…
TAYLOR:
[interrupting] that’s enough! [then only to Thorne] I want to know how…
ERIC: [not
letting her finish] we still don’t know why we are here! If Thorne is ok…
RIDGE:
[concerned] Is it Brooke? Did she have a car accident while leaving the church?
The church
[Stephanie stands by a phone in a corridor. She is about to pick it up
when Myles comes behind her.]
MYLES:
Stephanie? Can I talk to you for a moment?
STEPH:
[surprised because she didn’t hear him come] Well, I was about to call Eric. He
must be with Thorne now.
MYLES: That
will only take a minute
STEPH: [a
little angry] Listen, if you want to tell me how badly my son behaved and that
he does not deserve a woman like Macy… don’t even start! Sally already did.
MYLES: I
just want to warn you that if Thorne…
STEPH:
[interrupting him] Are you threatening me?
MYLES: No
[Pause] I’m threatening him. If he does any harm to my daughter I’ll make sure
he’ll regret it until the end of his life…
In the waiting room in the hospital.
RIDGE:
Answer Thorne! What happened to Brooke???
Thorne turns his back to them all and looks down… no one can see the
look in his eyes.
THORNE:
[with a voice suddenly calm but deep and trembling] you want to know how Brooke
is Ridge? … I’ll tell you how she is… she is dead Ridge. She is dead…
THE THREE
OF THEM: WHAT?
ERIC:
[completely stunned by the news] how? How did it happen Thorne ?
Thorne remains silent, still looking down, staring at the floor and
still not facing them.
RIDGE:
[grabbing his shoulder and shakes him] Tell us Thorne!
Thorne grabs Ridge’s arm that was shaking him and looks right in his
eyes, furious.
THORNE: YOU
KILLED HER!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Oh, no!
Brooke can't be dead! This looks like the end of Brooke and Thorne
already! [sob] NOOOOOOO!!
NOOOOOO!!! Ridge and Eric you @?%! How could you do that to her??????????? You two selfish b@st!% !!!!! OK,
I've just got to relax. And let me close this little commercial interlude by

Round two is about to begin... ding... ding...
THORNE: [looking
at Ridge then Eric] YOU TOO KILLED HER!
[Silence… again…]
TAYLOR: She
can’t be! Thorne that’s impossible…
Thorne looks at her strangely and Taylor
suddenly stops…
RIDGE: no
she can’t be………… how?
TAYLOR: [looking
at Thorne pensively while answering] She took pills… a lot of them…
ERIC: why?
TAYLOR:
[still focused on Thorne] because she thought she had lost the love her life,
that’s why.
Eric and Ridge look as if the sky had fallen on their head.
ERIC: [briefly
holding his forehead in his hand, softly speaks] Thorne… I… I… I don’t know
what to say… Gosh!… I wish I…
[Eric’s cellular phone rings… once, twice, three times… Eric doesn’t do
anything… Finally Thorne grabs the phone in his father’s pocket…
He puts it to his ear… It is Stephanie on the phone…]
In the chapel.
[Stephanie, alone, is holding a phone.]
STEPHANIE:
Eric?… Eric? Did you find Thorne? You must tell him to go back to the chapel!
THORNE:
Mother?
STEPHANIE:
Thorne is that you? Good! I’m so glad Eric found you! Listen to me son: I don’t
know why you did that and I don’t need to know right now but you must come back
immediately. Macy is waiting for you!
Cut to Thorne, Ridge, Eric and Taylor in the hospital waiting room.
STEPH’s voice:
do you hear me Thorne?
THORNE:
[rather unfeeling] Mother… Brooke is dead.
[He slowly turns the phone off and let it fall on the floor where it
breaks in several pieces.
He starts to leave and Eric tries to stop him.]
ERIC:
Thorne, wait…
THORNE: [turning
and with an icy look and tone] you’ll tell your children how you killed their
mother.
[Thorne leaves.
Eric makes a move to follow him but Taylor stops him.]
TAYLOR: I
think you two should go. Don’t worry Eric, I’ll stay with Thorne.
Still the hospital.
[Thorne is waiting by an elevator. Taylor joins him.]
TAYLOR:
Brooke isn’t dead, right Thorne? The ambulance arrived just in time, I’m pretty
sure of that…
THORNE: No
she isn’t dead.
TAYLOR: how
is she?
THORNE: The
doctor said she will be fine. But she needs some rest and NO ONE to bother her!
TAYLOR: is
that what this was all about? Getting her a few hours of peace?
THORNE: not
a few hours, several days, may be several weeks or months…
TAYLOR: what
do you mean? You can’t possibly want that we hide the truth that long? I don’t
like the idea of lying to my husband.
THORNE: I
don’t give a damn about Ridge! All I care is Brooke. The doctor said that she
might be able to leave the hospital in a day or two.
TAYLOR:
this is too soon Thorne! She needs to stay a little longer…
THORNE: but
if she stays longer, they’ll find out she isn’t dead and god knows what they
may come up with this time. Twice is enough and I want to take her away from
this family before they kill her for good.
TAYLOR:
what do you mean by “twice”?
THORNE:
well when we were in Big Bear, mother…. Hmmm…. Never mind… You must understand
that even if travelling is a little tiring for Brooke it still will be better
than stay here amongst them.
TAYLOR: I
understand… But I don’t know if…
THORNE:
[begging] Please, don’t say anything… at least until tomorrow…
TAYLOR: And
what about Rick and Bridget? Did you think of them? It is not fair to make them
suffer when they have nothing to do with all this!
THORNE:
I’ve called Bridget in her school in Switzerland. I told her the whole story
and she agreed not to tell her father for her mother’s sake. She’ll join Brooke
and I and stay with us for a while until her mother gets better or longer if
she wants to.
TAYLOR: and
what about Rick? Did you phone him too?
THORNE: no,
I have no idea where he is right now… that might become a problem.
[Taylor nods.]
Back to the chapel.
[It is completely empty.
Stephanie is sitting on a bench… alone.
Eric enters and sits next to her.
He takes her hand.]
STEPH: I
never wanted it to go that far…
ERIC: me
neither… you shouldn’t blame yourself… this is… this is all my fault…
[Silence.]
ERIC: where
is everybody?
STEPH: they
all left
ERIC: did
you tell them?
[Stephanie nods.]
STEPH: how
did Ridge and Thorne react?
ERIC: Ridge
is completely stunned… just like me… he hasn’t realized yet that it really
happened.
STEPH:
Thorne?
ERIC: [bending
his head] Thorne… it’s a different story… he seems to be mad… He is at the same
time so angry and so calm that… it frightens me…
STEPH: Did
you tell Rick and Bridget yet?
ERIC: no… I
simply don’t know what to say…
STEPH: they
have the right to know Eric… Rick is at Big Bear with Amber and little Eric…
The snow prevented them from coming to the wedding…
ERIC: I’ll
tell them tomorrow… I’ll phone Bridget tomorrow too… tonight… I’m just too
tired… I feel so empty…
STEPH:
[holding his hand close] I understand.
[We see them from a large angle in the Church with all the decorations
for the wedding still there…]
STEPH:
[whispering] that was supposed to be a perfect day.
Cut to Ridge in Brooke’s office at Forrester Creations.
[He is sitting at her desk… staring at the door as if he expected some
one to come in. Then he suddenly puts his head in his hands and silently
cries.]
[Taylor is at her house, taking care of the babies… She
constantly checks her watch.
She looks like some one who can’t make up her mind.]
[Thorne is at the hospital in Brooke’s room…
He gently strokes her face while she awakes.
When seeing him, she smiles.]
BROOKE:
Thorne?
THORNE: yes
honey?
BROOKE:
we’re gonna be happy right?
THORNE: [smiling]
yes, hon, the happiest couple in the whole world.
[Cut to Myles watching them from outside the room through the door’s
window.]
