Brooke and Thorne Episode 1.04
"New Hunk in Town"

Introduction: The most common criticism that people have expressed so far in regards to The Bold and the Beautiful has been in regards of the lack of men in this show (I mean non Forrester hot males). Brooke and Thorne’s writing team is proud to present you with a new male cast member. Who is he and which character does he portray?… well you’ll find out soon enough. All that I can tell you is that we are going to get rid of little by little major characters and introduce new ones… Then we’ll have a show that won’t try to compete with The Bold and the Beautiful – that is not our goal – but to stand by itself as a different entity. All I can say is, if you've enjoyed it so far, you might as well check back in once in a while to read the new shows, regardless of how many of the original cast members pop up. Reading's better for you, anyway.  And if you are not bored to death before the end of this episode you might find a scene that’s “never been done in a soap opera”… Yes! Brooke and Thorne’s characters are normal people who do some cooking, some cleaning and eventually… hum… you’ll have to read it all to find out!
And now... “New Hunk in Town”

[Brooke's home]

[SCENE: Brooke, Thorne and Bridget are in the living room and having breakfast]

 

BRIDGET: I don't think I can eat anything else!

 

BROOKE: [laughing] Me neither! It seems that's the only thing we've been doing since Christmas: eating! But it was delicious. [putting her hand on Thorne's hand  on the table] Thanks to our new chef!

 

THORNE: I know you only love me because I can cook. It is not your heart but your stomach which loves me the most.

 

[Bridget bursts into laughter]

 

BROOKE: Come on Thorne, honey, you know that it is not the only reason...

 

THORNE: [pushing his chair closer to hers, ready to kiss her] and which is this reason?

 

BROOKE: [standing up with plates in her hand] you know how to clean the house!

 

THORNE: [grabbing her forearm and forcing her to sit on his knees] Oh YOU! You drive me crazy you know that?

 

[They kiss, Brooke still holding the plates in one hand and her other arm around Thorne's neck]

 

BRIDGET: [putting her hand on her eyes] YUCK! Can't you do that some place else?

 

[Brooke and Thorne laugh]

 

THORNE: soon Bridget, you'll be dating too!!!

 

BROOKE: NOT TOO SOON, I hope!

 

BRIDGET: Don't worry Mom! All the guys I know are idiots!

 

BROOKE: [smiling] now perhaps... But Thorne is right, sooner or later that will happen to you too.

 

[Brooke stands up again, clears the table and leave for the kitchen]

 

THORNE: [more seriously] Bridget, I have something to ask you. I was waiting for us to be alone. I don't want to bother your mother with this.

 

BRIDGET: What is it Thorne?

 

 

[SCENE: Stephanie's mansion. Stephanie and Eric are also having breakfast but they are not laughing or smiling. They seem pretty serious and sad.]

 

STEPH: Eric, are you all right?

 

ERIC: No, Stephanie, I am not all right.

 

STEPHANIE: Eric, I wish there was something I could say to make you feel

better.

 

ERIC: I am worried about Rick and Bridget.

 

STEPH: I know you are, so am I?

 

ERIC: Are you?  Are you really?

 

STEPH: What's that supposed to mean?

 

ERIC: Maybe you should have made an actual effort to at least become civil with Brooke.

 

STEPH: With Brooke, that was impossible.

 

ERIC: Do you see Stephanie?  That's exactly what I mean, you never even gave her a chance.

 

STEPH: That's not fair Eric.

 

ERIC: Was it fair to try and push Thorne and Macy together?

 

STEPH: Thorne and Macy love each other.

 

ERIC: No, Thorne was not in love with Macy.  How could you Stephanie?

 

STEPH: How could I what?

 

ERIC: Your behavior drove me to plan this suprise wedding and look at the heartache and grief it caused.

 

STEPH: How dare you?!  How dare you speak to me like this.

 

ERIC: I have not got the time to argue with you now, I am leaving to go see the children at Brooke's.

 

STEPH: Don't blame me Eric.  It's not going to bring Brooke back.  It was a mistake, everything was a mistake.

 

[Stephanie leaves the room angry as Eric picks up the phone and dials a number.]

[Brooke's house. Still Bridget and Thorne]

 

BRIDGET : So what is it Thorne that you want to ask me?

 

THORNE : Well we didn’t get a chance to talk about this… I wanted to know if it was ok with you… you know… me dating your mother…

 

BRIDGET: why yes! Why do you ask?

 

THORNE: [embarrassed] hum, you know… I’m your half-brother…

 

BRIDGET: SO? Ridge was too! That didn’t bother me… nor him actually! [pause. Thinking] You know, I’ve never seen Mom like this. She is so happy and so confident! With Ridge she was always worried that he might leave her for Taylor. But with you it’s different. She trusts you. And I trust you too.

 

THORNE: You are one amazing girl you know that?

 

BROOKE: [entering] like mother like daughter! What were you talking about?

 

[The phone rings]

 

BRIDGET: I’ll get it!

 

 

[SCENE: Rick and Amber’s. Amber is all alone, pacing back and forth in her bedroom.]

 

AMBER: Where are you Rick??  When are you coming home?

 

[Amber picks up a picture of her, Rick, and the baby.]

 

AMBER: I wanted us to spend Christmas with the family.

 

[Amber hears the front door open.]

 

AMBER: Rick, is that you?  Where have you been.  I have been very upset.  We are supposed to be a family and you didn't even spend Christmas with me and your son.  How could you let me down like that? I---

 

[Amber stops talking as she walks into the room and sees that its not Rick that walked in, but Becky.]

 

AMBER: Oh, Becky

 

BECKY: Surprise Cuz.

 

AMBER: It certainly is  surprise.

 

BECKY: You didn't seem to happy when I walked in.

 

AMBER: It's nothing, really---

 

BECKY: Oh, so where's Rick.

 

AMBER: He should be home soon.  What are you doing back.

 

BECKY: I came back for a visit.  I am so lonely in Paris.  I am so very lonely.

 

AMBER: Well, it will get better, I am sure of it.

 

BECKY: You've told me that before, but it still isn't better.  I am not happy in Paris, and all I can think of is Little Eric.

 

AMBER: Becky, Little Eric is happy.

 

BECKY: Is he?

 

AMBER: Of course.

 

BECKY: Then why did you say that Rick didn’t spend Christmas with you both?

 

AMBER: There was a tragedy.

 

BECKY: What?

 

AMBER: Rick's mother died.

 

BECKY: Oh no, are you serious?

 

AMBER: Of course I am.

 

BECKY: What happened?

 

AMBER: It's a long story, but he must be comforting Bridget right now.

 

BECKY: Then how could you have been so cold about that?  You were ready to tear into Rick, after his mother died.

 

AMBER:  I was just upset.  I mean with Kimberly trying to… [Amber suddenly stops]

 

BECKY: SO Kimberly is still wanting to break you and Rick up?

 

AMBER: Yes.

 

BECKY: I want to see the baby.

 

AMBER: He's asleep.

 

BECKY: Amber, I want to see him.  He's my baby.  I want to see him NOW!

 

 

[cut to Bridget on the phone in Brooke’s living room and Eric also on the phone in Stephanie’s living room]

 

BRIDGET: Hello

 

ERIC: Bridget, its your father.

 

BRIDGET: Oh

 

ERIC: I was calling to see how your Christmas was.

 

BRIDGET: How was it??  It was not exactly a good one.

 

ERIC: I'm sorry Bridget.

 

BRIDGET: Is that all dad?

 

ERIC: Do you need anything, anything at all?

 

BRIDGET: Yes, a mother.

 

[Those words sting Eric.  His voice gets a little shaky.]

 

ERIC: May I speak to Thorne.

 

[Bridget hands the phone to Thorne who quickly looks at Brooke.]

 

THORNE: Yes

 

ERIC: Thorne, how are you doing?

 

THORNE: Look, what do you want dad?

 

ERIC: I want to talk with you about the funeral.  I want to help out in any way that I can.

 

THORNE: We don't need you to get involved, you've done quite enough already.  Now, if that is it, I have got to go.

 

[Thorne hangs up the phone.]

 

ERIC: Thorne?  Thorne?!

 

[Eric slams the phone down.]

 

ERIC: I need to talk to someone.

 

[Eric gets his coat and leaves.]

 

 

[SCENE: Back at Amber’s. She is still with Becky]

 

BECKY: Tell me Amber! Tell me where my son is!

 

AMBER: Fine, he's back here.

 

[Amber points to the bedroom. Becky walks back there.  She sees the baby.]

 

BECKY: Hi sweety, did you miss me??  I missed you.

 

[ Becky takes gently baby Eric in her arms and he doesn’t wake up. Amber watches on.  She is worried.]

 

AMBER: Becky, you're not thinking about…

 

BECKY: About what?  About taking back my baby?  I won't lie Amber, I have

thought about it.  I have thought long and hard about it…

 

 

[SCENE: Brooke’s house. Brooke, Bridget and Thorne]

 

BROOKE: What did Eric say?

 

THORNE: nothing important really… He just wanted to know how we were doing… [then changing suddenly of subject] You know that Bridget gives us her blessing?

 

BROOKE: WHAT? What are you talking about?

 

THORNE: you asked what Bridget and I were discussing when you came back from the kitchen…

 

BROOKE: [remembering] Oh right! … [to Bridget, misinterpreting] So you don’t think it is “yuck” anymore to see us kiss?

 

BRIDGET: OH YES! YUCK!

 

BROOKE: [laughing] I’m glad you feel that way! I won’t have to deal with one boyfriend of yours too soon!

 

BRIDGET: [as Rick is coming downstairs] I’m not like Rick Mom!

 

RICK: Well thank you Bridget! I just leave twenty minutes and when I’m back I find you talking bad of me!

 

BRIDGET: It would have been harder to say something good about you!

 

RICK: [running after Bridget trying to catch her] BRIDGET! COME BACK! I tell you, if I catch you, you’re going to pay for this!

 

[They run outside by one of the bay windows]

 

[Thorne laughs while Brooke goes to the couch and sits. She seems a little tired. Thorne notices it.]

 

THORNE: [concerned] Are you ok hon?

 

BROOKE: Just a little tired. Don’t worry. The doctor should be here any minute now.

 

THORNE: [a little suspicious] That’s nice of him to come here every day check on you.

 

BROOKE: [laughing] Thorne! We’re paying him to do that! Are you jealous? Now that I think about it, he is a rather handsome man…

 

THORNE: [not joking at all] you really think so?

 

BROOKE: [giggling] no! I’m just teasing you! You know what?

 

THORNE: No… what?

 

BROOKE: You are SO sexy when you are jealous!

 

THORNE: [this time smiling] what do you think? Do you want me to carry you upstairs to show me how sexy you think I am?

 

BROOKE: remember? Doctor Bergman should be here soon.

 

THORNE: Don’t you think we have time?

 

BROOKE: [seductively] not with what I have in mind…  

 

NON-COMMERCIAL BREAK

·         Warren Beatty announced in an interview for Vanity Fair (Feb. issue) that he would not run for the presidency… not this year at least… Another chance to have an actor for president is gone… I feel kind of sad actually thinking of all the fun it could have add to the campaign… I just could already hear the acid remarks of the columnists… Never mind… May be some other time!

·         And finally, be prepared for episode 106… You think nothing can surprise you ? That you’ve already thought of all the possibilities of killing Amber? You know all the potential murderers? But are you really prepared for what we have written? Hummmm… Well you will have all episode 105 to try to find out what we have planned. If you think you know what will happen: e-mail us.  If you’re right then we will have a way to locate you and to kidnap you until the episode airs on the web…      Just kidding!  

[Sally’s office at Spectra. Sally and Adam/Myles are there]

 

SALLY: So now we have only half of the designs ready for our summer collection. I wonder where Clarke is. He is never there when we need him… So what do you think we should do Adam? … [No answer] Adam???? Helloooo??? Are you with me?

 

ADAM: [realizing that Sally has been talking to him] Oh I’m sorry Red. I was thinking about something else…

 

SALLY: I can see that. Do you worry about Macy?

 

ADAM: Do you think she is going to be ok?

 

SALLY: Of course! In a while, when everything is back to normal Thorne will marry her and she will be just fine.

 

ADAM: I don’t think that will happen Sally.

 

SALLY: Why? I know that right now every one is too upset to celebrate anything but later…

 

ADAM: I don’t think we should let Macy have too high expectations.

 

SALLY: [curious] do you know something I don’t?

 

[Clarke and C.J. enter at this very moment and are arguing.]

 

C.J.: Man Dad! How many times did I tell you that wasn’t a good idea?

 

CLARKE: I thought that you would appreciate that we would spend these vacations only the two of us…

 

C.J.: Sure, Dad that was great! Except that the weather was too bad to go skiing, that all the girls there were speaking Italian - and I don’t, and above all things we missed Macy’s wedding!

 

CLARKE: How could I possibly know that she would marry Thorne this precise week???? No one warned me!

 

SALLY: calm down! Both! First  C.J. it’s not your father’s fault. The wedding was decided at the last moment. Then: it didn’t take place… hum… in fact it didn’t go to the end…

 

Both CLARKE and CJ: WHAT?

 

SALLY: something terrible happened… Brooke died…

 

[they both look stunned] 

 

 

[SCENE: at Amber’s. While Becky is with baby Eric, Amber sneaks into the kitchen and picks up the phone.  She dials Tawny's number.  Tawny is slicing some cabbage with a large butcher knife…]

 

TAWNY: Hello

 

AMBER: Mom, please come out here.

 

TAWNY: Amber, what is it?

 

AMBER: Becky's out here, I am scared that she's thinking of taking Little Eric.

 

TAWNY: I'll be right there.

 

[Tawny hangs up.]

 

TAWNY: You just won't learn will you Becky?  This is going to stop, I have had it with you, Becky!!  Amber is keeping Little Eric.

 

[Tawny gets an evil look in her eyes as she looks at the butcher knife.]

 

TAWNY: I will do whatever it takes to keep your mouth shut for good.

 

[In a rage, Tawny stabs the butcher knife into the cutting board.]

 

TAWNY: It's time for this to end.

 

[Tawny grabs her coat and leaves.]

 

 

 

[Brooke’s. There is a knock at the door. Brooke is on the couch alone].

 

BROOKE: Come in!

 

[The door open and we see Jack Wagner who played Peter Burns on the late Melrose Place enter]

 

BROOKE: Oh that’s you Dr Bergman.

 

Dr BERGMAN: Yes, Brooke. You can call me Jack you know. How do you feel this morning?

 

BROOKE: actually, to tell you the truth, I’m a little tired.

 

JACK: This is normal. But I’m still going to check.

 

BROOKE: [while Dr Bergman sounds her] when will you allow me to leave L.A.?

 

JACK: You seem in a hurry…

 

BROOKE: Well Thorne and I planned to leave two weeks ago now. But you said it was not reasonable…

 

JACK: [laughing] So you resent me?

 

BROOKE: [smiling] not at all! I am really grateful for all that you’ve done for me.

 

JACK: Well what wouldn’t I do for such a beautiful woman….

 

BROOKE: [giggling] if Thorne could hear you…

 

JACK: Why?

 

BROOKE: Well… You’re going to laugh… But he is a little jealous… He thinks you are flirting with me…

 

JACK: And do you think he is totally wrong?

 

BROOKE: Well… you wouldn’t steal another man’s woman, would you?

 

JACK: Are you two married?

 

BROOKE: No… ???

 

JACK: Are you engaged?

 

BROOKE: hum… well… not yet…

 

JACK: so that would be “fair game” right?

 

BROOKE: [looking intensively in his eyes] I guess so… But… Doc… YOU DON’T STAND A CHANCE!

 

JACK: [laughing] so I tried… and lost… [pause] speaking about Thorne… where is the happy man?

 

BROOKE: He’s at the market doing some shopping…

 

JACK: [sarcastic] so he is the perfect “househusband” …

 

BROOKE: He is perfect period. Hum… Do you mind if we talk about something else?

 

JACK: not at all…

 

 

[SCENE: At the market. Thorne is choosing some tomatoes. We see Macy looking for him in the background. Finally, she spots Thorne and goes to him.]

 

MACY: [touching his shoulder making him turn] Well hello Thorne.

 

THORNE: MACY??? What are you doing there?

 

MACY: I know your habits Thorne! Remember? We’ve been married quite a long time…

 

THORNE: right… Hum so why were you looking for me?

 

MACY: You didn’t return my calls. I was really worried…

 

THORNE: So you decided to track me down there… Now that you’ve found me you can see: I am ok… So bye. I don’t have time to have a little talk with you.

 

MACY: Wait! Thorne! You can’t leave me just like that!

 

THORNE: Sure I can: open your eyes and look at me doing it.

 

[Thorne starts to leave but Macy grabs his forearm.]

 

MACY: [firmly] Thorne! I know you are upset about what happened to Brooke. I’ve learnt that you have been taking care of Bridget and I’m sure that kept you busy… But still! You could have phoned me!

 

THORNE: [standing in front of her, putting his grocery bags on the floor and crossing his arms on his chest] OK. I’m waiting. Tell me what you really want.

 

MACY: [puzzled] What I want? WHAT I WANT? I want an explanation Thorne! You owe me one!

 

THORNE: I owe you… Huh… ???

 

MACY: Well Thorne we almost got married two weeks ago and now you act as if I don’t exist.

 

THORNE: You remember that YOU planned that wedding right?

 

MACY: Well of course, but I…

 

THORNE: [interrupting] did you ask me if I wanted to get married?

 

MACY: No but I assumed that…

 

THORNE: [cutting her again] you assumed wrong.

 

MACY: [almost crying] But we are in love! I thought…

 

THORNE: Macy. Buy yourself a clue: I DON’T LOVE YOU

 

MACY: [crying] No! I can’t believe you’re thinking what you are saying.

 

THORNE: Well you’ld better believe it since it is the truth: I don’t love you because I love Brooke!

 

[Macy is in tears almost suffocating]

 

THORNE: your little surprise made her take all these pills. I don’t think I will ever forgive you.

 

[Thorne bends and takes his grocery bags. Then he looks back at Macy and feels a little  bad for being so hard on her. He hands her an handkerchief.]

 

THORNE: [rather gently] Take…

 

[She grabs the handkerchief and he turns to leave]

 

THORNE: [to himself] That reminds me that I still have to buy some onions.

 

 

[SCENE: Brooke’s house. Brooke is alone in the living room, by the phone]

 

BROOKE: [thinking aloud] I know you won’t like that idea Thorne. I’m really sorry but this is something I HAVE to do… For myself…

 

[Brooke takes the phone and dials]

 

BROOKE: Victor? Brooke Logan speaking… Did you get my e-mail? [pause, she is listening to him] I know but as you can hear I am NOT dead… I’ll explain everything in time. [pause again] So… What do you think? Does my vision of Forrester Creations’ future please you? Are you ready to make a deal?

 

 

[Eric knocks on Ridge and Taylor's door.  Taylor opens it.]

 

TAYLOR: Eric?

 

ERIC: I need to talk to you and Ridge.

 

TAYLOR: Sure, come in.

 

[Eric walks in and Taylor shuts the door.]

 

ERIC: I spoke to Bridget and Thorne.  Bridget blames me, I know that she does.

 

TAYLOR: She's just upset Eric, and her feelings are rational.  She just needs some time.

 

ERIC: I know, but it hurts.  I feel like an outsider.

 

RIDGE: You mean the same way we made Brooke feel.

 

TAYLOR: Ridge----

 

ERIC: No, he's right.

 

[Ridge and Eric walk into the living room as Taylor stands in the foyer.]

 

TAYLOR: [thinking to herself]  Thorne had better tell the truth soon, because I will not let my husband and his father continue to blame themselves.  The truth has got to come out, and soon.

Next on Brooke and Thorne: Stephanie proves one more time that she doesn’t give a damn about Brooke. A character from the past makes a guest-appearance. While one secret is finally uncovered another one deepens. Mysterious and sexy Doctor Bergman is back. He knows a lot about the Forrester but he won’t tell how. Brooke gets her revenge… or at least she is beginning… She told Thorne about one of her plans… But what about the other? The worst thing is: you won’t know what her second plan is until episode 107… But we are confident that episode 106 won’t disappoint you.
