Brooke and Thorne Episode 1.07
"bye bye Macy"

Original Postdate: April 10, 2000.
Written by Alexandra a.k.a. Thornesfan, N.J. a.k.a. MST3K and for the first time Kerri a.k.a. hum… Kerri

Brooke and Thorne is intended as an original story based on characters created by Bill Bell, appearing in the CBS soap-opera the Bold and the Beautiful. This script is not intended as a derivative work thereof and may not be reproduced for commercial usage without the express written consent of the owner of this site.

Introduction: Knock knock. Is there anyone behind that screen???

Yes?

Oh great!

Are you patient!!!!!!

Two months after the last episode of Brooke and Thorne aired and you still haven’t given up on us! Are we lucky to have readers like you!

What happened you may wonder… Some of you e-mailed me to ask… and I tried to answer a.s.a.p. but some times I just couldn’t so I would like to apologize to all the nice persons who tried to contact me. Some of you also asked for the zip version of the show but I couldn’t send it… I just would like to let you know that I will send it to anyone who will ask for it as soon as episode 112 will be reached (that is to say half of the season)…

To finish writing this episode, I had to read again the first 6 episodes because it was a giant mix up in my head… There was the Bold and the Beautiful of course and Brooke and Thorne, but there also was the wonderful fan fiction written by Wendy: Control … By the way, I am considering to ask Wendy to host here her fan fiction even if other sites also have it online… Then I would make this site the home of several B&B fan fictions.

Anyway,

I don’t know if you’ve heard but there are rumors about the other show about  Brooke and Thorne: a new male character is supposed to arrive soon… He would be a doctor… hm… and if they hire Jack Wagner (wouldn’t that be great?????) I’ll be so surprised!!! … coincidence??? I HOPE NOT! LOL!

Before we start with this brand new episode I would like to say a special thanks to Janet who kept sending the B&B spoilers to our Brooke and Thorne mailing list while I was (shame on me!) partying and celebrating the end of my last year in university! (at last…) And the festivities just happened to begin with Saint Patrick’s Day… J Student life is so hard some times….

Enjoy this episode
And now... “Bye bye Macy”

[SCENE: Clarke is entering his office at Spectra… He seems surprised to find Sally in his chair.]

CLARKE:  Sally! What are you doing there? I thought you were in the cutting room… [noticing the look on her face] Are you ok?

SALLY [angry]: No Clarke! I’m not ok!

CLARKE: What did I do this time?

SALLY: Come on Clarke, everything is not always about you! … It’s about Macy… She’s decided to leave.

CLARKE: I guess that she needs some vacations after everything that happened lately… Don’t worry Red, I’m sure she is going to be ok.

SALLY: You don’t understand. She is leaving for good. She won’t come back this time.

CLARKE: WHAT? Why? What happened?

SALLY: Thorne Forrester! That’s what happened! This family will never stop hurting us! And now because of them I’m loosing my daughter…

CLARKE: Calm down. [massaging her shoulders] I’m sure we’ll find a way to make her change her mind.

SALLY: not this time Clarke… Not this time…

[Cut to Macy opens the door to Sally’s office. Myles is in it, going through some papers.]

MACY: Mom, I just stopped in to... Oh, Dad. I wasn’t expecting to find you here. Where is Mother?

MYLES: She’s downstairs in the cutting room, making sure that everything’s in tip-top shape to prepare for the fashion show. It’s not long away, you know.

MACY [averting Myles’s gaze]: Oh, yeah. I know. I’ll see if I can find her down there.

[As she starts to leave, Myles catches her arm.]

MYLES: Macy, are you all right?

[Cut to the large empty living room of a villa with large windows opening on a beach and the ocean. Cut to the door. Behind it, Thorne. He rings and waits until the door opens.]

THORNE: I’m sorry to bother you but I really need your help. It’s important.

[Cut to the person at the door. We only see his face: it’s James Warwick]

JAMES: Come in Thorne. I was waiting for you.

CREDITS: You know the drill!!!!

Ok, this is not yet animated but at least it is a pic. My brother promised me to teach me how to make animated pics… “It’s SO easy” he bragged… so you see there is hope… but if he can’t teach me, I’ll just make a java applet but not everyone can make them work on their computer and that’s why I didn’t want to use one.

[SCENE: James’ living room. Thorne is on the sofa while James is by the bar, preparing some drinks while talking]

JAMES: So… when you phoned me you sounded rather mysterious Thorne.

THORNE: Well, I didn’t want Brooke to hear me. When I read in the newspaper this morning that you were back in town, I knew you would be able to help us.

JAMES: Well what kind of help do you need? I’ll see what I can do.

THORNE: I need your help as a professional.

JAMES [looking down]: I do not practice any more you know.

THORNE: Really? So why are you back in L.A. ? I thought you wanted to go back to work…

JAMES: No … I just… hum… never mind. [changing of subject] I still can recommend you some colleagues if you want.

THORNE: I’ld rather not… It’s about Brooke and you know her so well. I mean, you two almost got married once.

JAMES [smiling]: Yes I know Brooke: she is one of the strongest women I ever met. [thinking] I can’t see why she would need me actually.

THORNE: did you hear that every body thought she was dead while she wasn’t?

JAMES [nodding]: yes I did. People say that she faked suicide to get back at your family Thorne. But I find it hard to believe. It’s not like Brooke to go so far just to get even.

THORNE: I have to tell you that the idea to make people believe she was dead was not hers. I imagined that.

JAMES: You???? Why did you do that Thorne? You knew that would upset a lot of people!

THORNE: Yes, but I had to do it to protect her… the truth is: Brooke DID try to commit suicide. She only survived because Taylor called fast enough an ambulance.

JAMES: OH MY GOD! [grabbing Thorne’s forearm] Is she ok??? Thorne, is she all right???

THORNE: fortunately yes. She’s almost totally recovered now. Physically at least.

JAMES [a bit astonished]: I see. Are you worried that she might again try to…

THORNE [quickly]: No! The circumstances are totally different now… [hesitating] I’m sure that… [pause] James, frankly, I think she is going to be ok. But I don’ t want to take any risk. I love her, do you understand? I don’t want to loose her!

[SCENE: Brooke’s living room. Brooke and Jack are sitting on the sofa. Jack is putting back his medical “tools” into his suitcase.]

JACK: Well everything seems to be all right Brooke. I think you can go on vacation… In fact, I’m pretty sure this trip is going to be a good therapy for you.

BROOKE: I’m so glad to finally leave L.A. for a while. I needed that time off.

JACK: Do you know where you are going?

BROOKE: I have absolutely no idea. Thorne just told me to get my passport and a lot of bikinis. We are going on a cruise but he didn’t tell me where. Some place hot and sunny… that’s all he said. And you Doc? What are you going to do now that you won’t have to come here every day?

JACK [laughing]: I have other patients you know! And I also have to find a place to live in.

BROOKE: What?

JACK: I’ve been living in an hotel room for weeks now and it is high time I found a real “home”.

BROOKE: I had no idea! Isn’t your wife fed up with living at the hotel?

JACK: What makes you think I’m even married?

BROOKE: Well, there is the trace of a ring on your finger so I guessed that may be you are married and you lost your ring…

JACK: No, the only reason I don’t wear the ring is because I’m no longer married.

BROOKE: Oh I’m sorry… Have you…

JACK [interrupting her]: Per chance, don’t you know a beautiful house like yours that would be available right now in the neighbourhood?

BROOKE: No but I can give a phone call and ask a friend of mine to make you visit a few houses.

JACK: That is really nice of you Brooke… hum… I hope this isn’t too much to ask but would you mind visiting some of them with me?

BROOKE: Why?

JACK: Well… you know the neighbourhood well and I want to be sure to make the right choice.

BROOKE: I don’t know Jack… I still have to pack a lot of things and we are leaving this afternoon… [thinking] Let me give this phone call and I’ll see what I can do.

[Cut to Myles in Sally’s office. Holding back Macy by her arm.]

MYLES: Are you all right Macy? You don’t look well and we haven’t talked much since the, uh...wedding. Have you spoken with Thorne yet? Has he given you an explanation for the way he behaved? Better yet, has he apologized for what he did to you?

MACY: Well, I was hoping not to have to burden you with all of this, Dad, but I have seen Thorne. The only explanation he offered is that he loves Brooke now, not me. I know he didn’t intend to hurt me, but our relationship is over. Finished. I feel so horrible...

MYLES: I know, sweetheart. I know he’s hurt you, and I’m sorry. He should be sorry, too, you know.

MACY: No, Dad. You don’t understand. I mean Brooke... she was there, at the church; she saw everything.

MYLES: You didn’t ask her to come, did you?

MACY: NO! Ridge and Eric did… But still! She ran off and got home. There she swallowed a bunch of pills... It’s my fault because I planned that stupid wedding without talking to Thorne first. How could I have been so foolish??? We hadn’t spoken more than twice in the last month, yet I planned a wedding, a surprise wedding. [beginning to cry] What was I thinking?? And now it’s my fault that Brooke is dead of a drug overdose... I’m leaving for a while, Dad.  I’ve got to get away. I can’t stand the thought of seeing Thorne, knowing how he feels about me now. And Rick and Bridget, how would I deal with seeing them, knowing I killed their mother?

MYLES: WHAT? IS THAT WHAT THAT SCOUNDREL TOLD YOU? Is this his warped way of avoiding the fact that he hurt you. Instead, he tries to make you the bad guy. I’ll wring his neck!

MACY: Dad, it is my fault.

MYLES: No, Macy. It IS Thorne’s fault for not being man enough to tell you a long time ago that he was involved with someone else. He’s nothing but a coward! A lying, cheating coward! All this time he has you thinking she’s dead, but...

[CJ bursts into the room.]

CJ: Mom… [seeing that she is not there] Dad, Macy... you are not gonna believe this! I don’t know how it can be true, but the guy on the radio just said that Brooke Logan is alive and well!

[Cut to Amber’s. Amber and Tawny are going on their argument started in episode 105…]

AMBER:  Are you crazy Mother???  I will not get pregnant to keep Rick.

TAWNY: Why not??  You and he can have another child and you both will love this child and he will truly be yours.

AMBER: No, I can't do that.

TAWNY: You are throwing your life away.

AMBER: No, I just think that--

[
Rick walks in.]

RICK: I have some great news.

AMBER: Rick, where have you been??

RICK: I have been at my mom's house.

AMBER: Oh

RICK: Amber, she's alive, my mom's alive

[Amber and Tawny look at him in shock]

NON-COMMERCIAL BREAK 1

Last week was so sad on the Bold and the Beautiful. The scenes with Brooke and Thorne were so beautiful they almost made me cry! Kudos to the actors and the writing team… And kudos to the costumes department. For once, the wedding dress chosen was really… hum… well did not show bad taste… or was it just KKL always looking wonderful whatever she wears?

Now every one wonders  if they made love a last time…

What if they did and Brooke is pregnant with Thorne’s child???? Aowwww…

But what if this was just a nice way to say good bye to my favorite couple L ?

Anyway!

Some B&B fans need your help!!!! In Germany, they are canceling the soap. The German fans are doing their best to keep the show on air in their country. If you want to give your support to them or sign their petition, e-mail me and I’ll put you in contact with some active German friends… They need the help from people around the world!

[SCENE: Sally’s office. Macy, Myles and C.J. … Macy looks stunned…]

MACY: No! That can’t be true C.J.! Thorne told me that she went home and took a handful of pills. They rushed her to the hospital, but it was too late.

CJ: I only know what the man said, and he said that Brooke is alive.

[Myles is nodding his head and the look on his face confirms what CJ has just said.]

MACY: I don’t believe it. Is this what you were going to tell me, Dad?

MYLES: Well, yes. I couldn’t have that lowlife making you feel responsible for anything.

MACY: But how did you know? How could you know? Did you hear it too on the radio?

MYLES: I saw Thorne with her at the hospital after he left.

MACY: You were spying on him??? I knew you didn’t trust him, but that’s no excuse for spying.

MYLES: Macy, honey, you know I thought he’d hurt you again, and I was right, wasn’t I? I had to know what was going on when he left the chapel that day.  He was not going to hurt my daughter and get away without an explanation. I followed him... and at the hospital, I saw him in a room with Brooke.

MACY: I can’t believe he let me think that she was dead! All this time I was worrying about what I had done while in fact Brooke was safe… Why did he do that to me?… [thinking then looking at her father in the eyes] And why did YOU wait so long to tell me what you saw????

[CJ picks this time to make a hasty exit.]

MYLES: I just wanted to…

MACY: Don’t bother Dad. I don’t want to know… [moving to the door] I’m leaving.

MYLES: Macy,... stay!

MACY: Forget it, Dad.  I came to see Mother, but it’s good that you’re here instead. I’ve already talked to her and CJ and Kimberly, so you’re the only one left. Goodbye, Dad. I’m leaving. Save your breath, you can’t talk me out of it, especially after what I just found out. I’ll call Mother to tell her I’m all right, but I’m not telling anyone where I’m going. Goodbye.

[Macy leaves, slamming the door behind her.]

[SCENE: in James’ living room. Thorne is still sitting on the couch while James is going back and forth in front of him]

JAMES: So I see. From what you told me, this was all due to a misunderstanding.

THORNE: Yes. So do you think that we have nothing to worry about?

JAMES: Listen to me Thorne. This is really serious. You must not underestimate the situation. I think that Brooke should talk about this with some one else than a member of her family. I will go and see her if you want but you must promise me to make her agree to see a doctor.

THORNE [looking worried]: I’m not sure she will agree. Should I ask Taylor to begin a therapy with her?

JAMES: No I don’t think this is a good idea. There is too much past between these two.

THORNE: James… You know what the best solution would be…

JAMES: NO! no no no!

THORNE: Come on James, do it for Brooke. She needs you. [pause] You know what? Take all the time you need to think about it. I’m taking Brooke and the children on a cruise. You’ll give an answer when you are back.

JAMES: all right. But don’t lure yourself. A trip far away from L.A. and your family won’t make disappear all the problems. She will just forget them for a few days. That’s all.

THORNE: I understand. But when we are back, you and I will see to change her life.

[Cut to Myles all alone in Sally’s office]

MYLES [getting increasingly angry and red in the face]: I don’t believe you did this to my daughter, Thorne. I warned you a long time ago that there would be hell to pay if you hurt her again. Not only are you in love, lust, or whatever with another woman, you aren’t man enough to tell Macy. No, you leave her at the altar without one word of explanation. Then you make her blame herself  for a death that never even happened. This is too much for a father to take, Thorne. Too much...but you’ll pay. You’ll rue the day that you ever tangled with the Spectra family!

[SCENE: Clarke’s office at Spectra. Clarke and Sally are going through the drawings while talking]

SALLY [putting down a drawing]: I just can’t do it Clarke…

CLARKE: do what?

SALLY: focus on the coming fashion show while Macy is going to leave L.A. …

CLARKE: You must do it… Do it for Macy… You know she wouldn’t want you to loose Spectra because of her…

SALLY: You are right! It’s just that it won’t be the same without her… [taking a look at the drawings] These ones are just fabulous Clarke. Can you show me the rest of them now?

CLARKE [embarrassed]: well… hum… that’s all I’ve got…

SALLY [opening widely her eyes]: WHAT? CLARKE! You don’t mean we only have one half of the collection? How is this possible????

CLARKE: Listen to me Sally. I’ve worked extra hours lately and it wasn’t enough. I’ve done my best to create Spectra’s new collection but I just couldn’t make it. You were busy with Macy and I understand it. But now you must realize that we need to hire another designer to help. I just can’t make it all by myself! Look at the Forrester: they have at least two designers: Ridge and Eric… I’m all alone here!

[SCENE: a living room that looks familiar to all the B&B viewers. Brooke, Jack and an unknown woman are standing in the middle of the room. Brooke looks a bit uneasy.]

BROOKE: Are you sure you want to rent THAT house?

JACK: Yes. I don’t know why but the minute I saw it I loved it! [seeing that Brooke is looking concerned] what’s wrong with it?

BROOKE: nothing! It’s just that… hum… I knew the previous owner.

JACK: and? Did something horrible happened in that house? [walking and looking meticulously around] Did he do anything to it?

BROOKE: No… SHE didn’t do anything to the house… There is nothing wrong with the house actually… [pensively] It’s just that it brings back a lot of memories… [coming back to reality] But no need to think about it. It’s the past and if you like that: rent it! It is indeed a beautiful house.

JACK [turning to the woman, who is a real estate agent]: Do we have a deal?

[The woman nods in agreement]

NON-COMMERCIAL BREAK 2

·         Now about soap world… B&B first: Sarah who plays now Morgan seems to already have her own fans. This is so much deserved. She already was a great actress on Sunset Beach… Speaking about SB, I know few B&B fans watched that show but I got to see an old episode the other day and I almost died laughing. For those who know the show: it’s the episode with Meg’s wedding. She is throwing the bouquet and you see it in slow motion going and going in the air, girls trying to grab it and finally ending in the hands of Maria, the supposed dead wife of Ben. The bouquet in slow motion is the poorest special effect in soap I’ve ever seen (and yes I saw Lauren on Y&R turning on herself and at each turn having a new dress on just like when Linda Carter was changing into Wonder Woman). Now about Y&R: the more I think about it, the more I think the “swimmers” (hm…) story line is rather disgusting. But I still like it! They could  have done far worse: Ashley could have get pregnant with her brother Jack’s child… EEWWW!

[SCENE: Brooke’s living room. Opened suitcases on the sofas. Clothes everywhere.  Brooke and Bridget are putting clothes in the luggages]

BROOKE: don’t you think we’ve exaggerated just a little bit?

BRIDGET: what do you mean?

BROOKE: look at all we are taking with us! It’s only a two weeks trip!

BRIDGET [looking around]: all right. Let’s decide what we are letting home.

BROOKE: [pointing all the pair of shoes lined up in front of the sofa] what about some pairs of these???

BRIDGET: But Mom! I need them!

BROOKE: ALL of them???

BRIDGET: why yes! Why don’t YOU give up some of your bikinis? It seems that you have at least a dozen of them!

BROOKE [laughing]: all right all right… let’s make a deal…

BRIDGET: what?

BROOKE: we both bring whatever we want and we’ll use the room in Thorne’s luggages.

BRIDGET: doesn’t he want to put anything in it?

BROOKE: [smiling] I told him I would pack his stuff for him… Let’s just say I’ll make sure he won’t have too many things to unpack.

[They both laugh. Thorne enters the room and smiles widely when he sees them having fun.]

THORNE [looking around all the mess]: Woaw girls! Are you going to move the entire house on the boat?

BROOKE [going to Thorne and grabbing his collar with her hands]: nooooo… [looking at him in the eyes] kiss me!

[He kisses her once quickly on the lips.]

BROOKE: More!

[They kiss passionately. He puts his arms around her and holds her close.]

THORNE: How was your day?

BROOKE: Amazing! You are not going to believe it!

THORNE [holding her closer if possible]: believe what honey?

BROOKE: I spent the morning with Jack and…

THORNE [breaking the embrace]: with Jack???

BROOKE: Yes, he wanted to rent a house in the neighborhood so I offered to visit the houses with him.

THORNE: and did he find anything ?

BROOKE: [smiling mysteriously] oh yes…

THORNE [disappointed]: close to here???

BROOKE: not really but not that far… He decided to rent a house you know pretty well…

THORNE: oh right? Which one?

BROOKE: Sheila’s house.

THORNE [totally stunned]: NO! You are kidding!

BROOKE: he just loved it the minute he saw it.

THORNE: weird!

[Cut to Rick and Amber’s. Amber and Tawny are stunned by the news that Brooke is alive.]

AMBER: Really??  How?  I don't understand.

RICK: It's a long story, but she's alive.

[silence. Tawny and Amber glance at each other.]

AMBER: That's great.

RICK: What's wrong??

AMBER: I am just shocked by this news.

RICK: Isn't it great?

AMBER trying to sound cheerful: It is terrific news.  I am glad that you are happy.

TAWNY: Well, I guess I had better go and let you two talk.

[Tawny starts to head for the door.  Becky opens the door.]

BECKY: Rick, I saw you as I was leaving.  I need to talk to you.

RICK: About what??

TAWNY: Becky, don't do this!!

BECKY: Quiet Tawny.  Rick, you have been deceived by your wife and mother in law.

RICK: What?  What are you talking about?

BECKY: It's about little Eric.

RICK: What about him?

BECKY: He's…

AMBER: Becky, stop this now.

BECKY: Stop what Amber?  The truth??  Is that what you want stopped???

[SCENE: Brooke’s living room. It is cleaned and several suitcases are by the door. Thorne is next to them, waiting. Brooke is checking her purse in the middle of the room.]

THORNE [yelling]: BRIDGET!!!! We are going to miss the plane! Hurry up!

BRIDGET’S voice from upstairs: I’m coming!

THORNE: Now Brooke, what are you looking for in your purse?

BROOKE: My sunglasses… I was sure I was holding them five seconds ago!

THORNE: Honey…

BROOKE [looking up]: What?

THORNE: they are on your head!

BROOKE [putting her hand on her hair and feeling the glasses]: Oh right! [laughing] thanks!… Well I think I’m ready to go now.

THORNE: We still have to wait for Bridget… [yelling] BRIDGET!… [normal voice] Don’t you want to wait for Rick’s return to tell him good-bye.

BROOKE: Oh right! I forgot to tell. He already told us good-bye and said to tell you to have fun. He must be with his son now. He was so longing to spend a little time with him.

BRIDGET [running down the stairs wearing shorts, a small white T-shirt and sunglasses on. She has a bag on her shoulder]: I’m reeeeeeaaaaaaaddddddyyyyyy! Let’s go cruising!

[Cut to Amber and Rick’s… Amber is turning to Rick]

AMBER: Rick, Becky is obsessed with our son.  You remember when she left with him and scared us all to death.

RICK: Becky, that is true.  You left with my son.

BECKY: No I didn't.

RICK: What are you talking about.

BECKY: I didn't leave with your son.  I left with my son.

[Amber and Tawny are in shock.  Rick is dumbfounded.  Becky is determined to tell him the entire truth.]

[SCENE: Clarke’s office. Sally is all alone. Still on the chair by the desk.]

SALLY [taking the phone and beginning to dial]: that must be the best solution… [on the phone] Hello sweetie! Sally here! How are you honey and how is Scotty?…
