Interesting site. Though I did have trouble finding certain subjects in the A-Z index. That was the only problem I had. I'm a big Batman, Superman & JLA fan, so as long as you keep up the info. and new info. on all three, then I will be satisfied.

Just wanted to tell you that this is a totally cool page. I was just searching around for cool stuff to look at and had a love for the Justice League when I was younger, got into baseball cards, and am now overwhelmed with the comic industry and what I a tually 'don't know'. This is an AWESOME page that will help me refresh my memory and enlighten me as to what I have been missing. I have a soft spot for Flash and the Green Lantern, as well as the the orginal JLA members. Just wanted to tell you that som one did a really nice job on your page! I'll be visiting for sure!

Hey there. I've loved JLA since I was 5 years old. My favorite era was JLA vol.1 up until Aquaman reformed the team with quality heavy hitters, you rememger them, Gypsy-the homeless runaway, Vixen-the love child of Tigra & Wolverine and of course the ever popular Vibe and Steel! Gee, I wonder what those two are up to now? Well, I digress. I was wondering if anyone has seen any pics or has any info on D.C.'s eight inch silver age line of figures. I KNOW Martian Manhunter has been made but I'm wondering who else is in wave two

As much as I like Grant Morrisons JLA, I feel that the older characters such as Blue Beetle, Mr Miracle, Powergirl to name a few, have been treated unfairly. Where are they now? Does anyone at DC care? In a recent issue of JLA, where the team fights with he new Amazo, there is a brief cameo by about 10 old members, who are refered to as reserve members. If they are still part of the team why aren't they in the book more often? Relaunching the JLA title was a genius move for DC, but the core group is made p of 7 individuals who have their own titles on the market. For the fans of the JLA in all its incarnations it is a let down because it has convieniently forgotten about the appeal the older characters gave the book. I remember when everyone would associa e the League with Blue Beetle, Fire, Guy Gardner etc...Maybe DC should think about putting a second JL title on the shelves, containing select heroes from JLA, JLE, JLI, Extreame Justice and others associated with those titles. Anyway i'm off my soapbox no , keep up the good work. P.S. Can anyone tell me what issue was the last for the JLE,JLI and the JLA (with Obsidian, Blue Devil, etc...)

I don't like the direction JLA taking. Grant Morrison's recent plots seem a little forced. The entire JLA/JSA 5 part crossover is just a foot in the door for a new JSA comic. I love Grant, but he hasn't really put out a good plot since Prometheous invaded the moon base. Also, it appears that Cap Marvel is going to join the league. Bad move. The league is too big as it is. It doesn't need another strong man. Superman is doing fine. Characters are being buried due to the fact that there are too many of them. Aquaman is seldom used anymore. Lose Barda and Orion. Have Huntress, PlasticMan, Steel, and Zauriel come on for certain issues as a support team. Bring back Connor Hawke. His innocence and trying to fill in for his father was amusing. I think avid readers ill agree that the best issues were the ones with the original seven members when it didn't seem that a group of 14 were ganging up on a foe. Who could forget in the original issues when the members were incapacitated, Superman exposed to kyptonite, Batma running around buring aliens, and the martian leader saying "Batman...he's just a man" all the while Superman giving us an evil smirk and informing us "Batman is the most dangerous man in the world". Come on, when BIG BLUE says this, you know that you've got a good comic on your hands. I havn't felt this kind of emotion from JLA in recent issues. Hopefully, Grant can turn things around.

I collected DC comics throughout the 70's, constantly wishing DC would get better writers and create more 'serious' and realistic stories. The plots were often thin, continuity was terrible, and the stories were often just silly. I lost interest before ' risis On Infinite Earths'... but regained interest when I heard the DC Universe was going to be re-vamped. I was thrilled! Anticipating a DC universe reborn, with better, more serious stories... continuity, more character development.... Frankly, the 'Crisis' took us from a mess to a disaster. It wasn't a progressive move, it was a sideways move. It traded one form of complexity for another, even worse. As the 'Next Generation' progressed, the concept of 'Hero' was re-designed too. It wasn't long before you couldn't tell the 'Heros' from the villians. And, the 'heros' weren't even something a child could look up to anymore.... more like a collection of w erdos and emotionally-challenged nuts. The stories became difficult reading. Often, the whole book would go by with just a few panels of the hero! And, typical of current-day thinking, nothing sacred went untouched. Superman married. He is actually killed. He is reborn. His costume changes, It changes back. His powers change. They change back. Batman was critically injured. The original Robin does n t get along with his mentor, etc. The redesigns of the characters was done horribly. Nothing made sense. Now, I long for the day of the simple story... like it was in the 70's. -JS

Your data reference on Superman is extraordinary! I am quite impressed with the data compiled and its accuracy. This would make quite a task of compiling even a tiny portion of the metahuman universe of DC Comics. But an impressive corner none the less. B avo, my hat is off to you. My own meager offerings can be found at my above listed site. It would seem that I must amend my site to be able to compete with this wonderful work. Keep it up.
