Welcome to the
St. Patrick's Day Bash!

Shamrock

It doesn't have to be March 17th to celebrate! We're going to try and entertain you, educate you, and celebrate St. Patrick's Day everyday. Isn't it a great holiday?!!

Well, the first thing you need to do is have a good hearty Irish Breakfast, so you'll be energized and ready to see everything on this site! Might I suggest the Irish Breakfast Home Page? While you're digesting that, why don't you browse through a newspaper or two and see what's happening on the Emerald Isle. There's The Irish Times, the Irish Emigrant or Irish News Headlines from leading Irish Newspapers. Or perhaps you'd rather read The Belfast Telegraph.

Leprechaun Alert! Here's something to get your heart yearning, read a little about St. Patrick's Day by Amy Battis. Ever wonder how all those St. Patrick's Day parades got started? Another good green spot is A Wee Bit 'O Fun. Don't skip Ireland at a Glance, the ultimate directory of Irish sites on the Internet.

Why don't you send someone an animated, musical St. Patrick's Day Card from Blue Mountain Arts? InfoIreland has a nice card site. There's also Marlo's St. Patrick's Day E-cards and SPD cards from Wizardry Design.

leprechaun No Irish party is complete without music. If you haven't seen Riverdance or Lord of the Dance in person, at least go visit their flashy websites. Check out RCA's Celtic Wave recordings (The Chieftains, James Galway, soundtrack from Long Journey Home and others) Or try Irish and Celtic Music on the Internet. One of my favorites is Reel Music. If you can't find what you're looking for at those places, Ceolas Celtic Music Archive will surely have it! And if you're looking for the words to an Irish song (not necessarily a music file), try Some Irish Ballads.

Irish Flag Now, let's learn a little about Ireland. Take a tour courtesy Paddynet. Visit the Atlantic Coast or the East Coast of Ireland with Amy Battis. It'll be fun and you'll learn stuff! Or you can read Dagda: An Irish Story. Check this out: lots of links about Irish History. Look at some of the Stones of Ireland.

Ya like sports? Take a look at the Irish Sports Report (it's about the Notre Dame fighting Irish). Even if you don't like sports, go there to look at the shamrocks! Plus they have a cool puzzle and e-cards.

But, for those of you who came to have fun, here's some interesting sites to visit. How 'bout a trip down Lucky Leprechaun Lane--a netland of magical mists, lucky leprechauns and plenty of green! There's always the Virtual Irish Pub. The Thistle & Joe Virtual Scottish Pub is pretty interesting too. Or go straight to the source: Guinness.

RainbowDo come back again! I just love celebrating St. Patrick's Day and the more, the merrier! May the leprechauns bring me a pot of gold from the end of the rainbow. Ah, 'tis true, you know, that pot of gold! Can't you see it?
