The Tropics Choice is a special award from the Geocities Tropics team which recognizes the creativity, passion and hard work our residents put into their homepages.

These are pages that reflect the wonderful diversity of people, places, interests and experiences here at the Tropics. They are useful, interesting, fun pages that make others want to come back and visit again and again. They have a special magic about them. Content is what's important to us. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or an html genius, what matters is the passion you put into your pages. In giving this award here are some things we look for:

• Your page MUST be in Geocities Tropics and have a Tropics theme. There is a Geocities link on each page and they follow Geocities Content Guidelines.
• Content that is special. Something that educates us, fascinates us, something fun, something interesting!
• We don't want to see just links, tell us a little about you and what you think and what YOU have to say.
• Your pages should be user-friendly. Navigation is important, we want to be able to get around your page easily and be able to find things quickly. Frames pages must have a noframes option. Give us a way to get in touch with you through email and a guestbook. All of your links MUST work and the page should load reasonably quickly.
• You have put effort into your homepage. Your links MUST all work and your page is updated regularly. There are no broken links or graphics. Proofread your page carefully, good spelling and usage is a definite plus.
• Your page should be pleasing to the eye and the mind. Your graphics are not excessive and load quickly. We like tasteful use of graphics and interesting content, they should balance each other.
• Don't be a thief ALWAYS give credit to any work that is not your own and NEVER steal other peoples' bandwidth
