12/97 One of the main events of the Montserrat Tourist Board's Christmas Week '97 "Making People Happy" events was the free
Concert by the Barbados based band, Krosfyah. One of the hottest bands in the Caribbean, they put on a great show at Gerald's Park and had a great time in Montserrat.
Pictured here are bandleader, Michael Agard, at keyboards, and guitarist and up and coming songwriter, Tony "Rebel" Bailey.

Edwin Yearwood 12/97 Krosfyah gave up a couple of paying gigs to play for Montserrat and we thank them for their willingness to perform here on
short notice. Pictured here are two of their most exciting performers, Edwin Yearwood up front, and Henderson Quimby to
his left. Edwin has written most of their biggest songs to date, including "Pump Me Up," "Something Greater," and "Voice
in My Head." He's also been named Performer of the Year in Barbados two years running…

Mr. V. on a Clear Day 2/98 When we arrived back from a two week trip off island, we arrived to see the volcano looking like THIS! It sure looked very
volcanic-like at this stage! This picture taken from Frith's shows the extent and definition of the dome.
Reminds me of the "Joe vs the Volcano" dome on Waponi Woo….You remember that minor Spielberg movie?
Translated, Waponi Woo meant "Little Island with the Big Volcano." Hmmmmmm!!

Montserrat Awaits 2/98 Montserrat's beauty remains unsurpassed if you have the opportunity to take a moment or two to enjoy it. Of
course, the travails of so many have made it difficult for them to savor its beauty! This westerly shot invites all to sit
and reflect, if just for a moment!

The Bridge at Bunkum Bay 4/98 Crossing the ghaut at Bunkum Bay is this gorgeous little bridge that connects a house near Palm Loop to the beach!
Bunkum Bay is just north of Woodlands on the western coast, just before you get to St. Peter's.

The Bridge at Bunkum Bay 2 4/98 Looking back from the beach toward the bridge, you can see just a trickle of water coming from the ghaut.

View from Baker Hill 4/98 It's impossible to capture the magnificence of the northerly view from Baker Hill. Here you look toward the Silver
Hills with Little Bay in the far left in the picture. On a clear day you can see Redonda and Nevis to the west and Antigua to
the east.

The Mill on Baker Hill 4/98 Looking west from a spot atop the road up Baker Hill is this view of a rebuilt mill and some of the cultivated
lands.

Church in Brades 4/98 Looking across what's described as the Black Ghaut on the Tourist Map, one of the major churches (the large
building immediately left of the red roofed house) stands on the west side of the main road. Just south of it (left) is the new
Angelo's Supermarket! The cultivated land coming down the ghaut is part of the Department of
Agriculture's land.
