Interesting facts:

She was dubbed "tory dory", and was actually designed as the services first double ender, with propellers, rudder, and full bridge controls both bow and stern.

She was the the Strait's first ro-ro ship, with loading doors at both bow and stern.

On a good day she could dash across the Strait 24 times

She was designed for ice travel but was unable to cross the Northumberland Strait during the winter due to the fact she did not have enough deadweight to break herself free

Replaced upon the arrival of the M.V. Holiday Island and M.V. Vacationland

Sold in 1975 to Northumberland Ferries to operate from Caribou, Nova Scotia to Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island

Sold to Desagnes of Quebec City in 1995 and rebuilt to sail the Rivere Au Renard-Antiscosti route  and has been renamed Nordick Passeur
