Gay things to do

There are several gay cruises, jungle trips, horseback trips and hot spring tours as well as numerous straight tours.  This page will just focus on the Gay ones.  This is meant as just a quick overview and we can give you more specific details upon your arrival.  Whenever you hear "national" bar, it just means selection of hard liquor is limited to non imported brands.  A typical national bar does include Smirnoff Vodka and Bacardi rum etc...

"Paco's Paradise" is a new addition to the gay scene from the boyz of Paco Paco.  Its a remote location  on the southside of the bay accessible only by boat.  They have a  restaurant and full bar as well as kayaking and beach volleyball. The snorkeling in this protected cove is great.  They have a shuttle boat that runs Wed-Sun at 11:30am which costs 50 pesos.  The cost of the food and bar are comparable to other restaurants.

Paco Paco Hot Springs: Tuesdays 6:30pm to midnight. Its a clothing optional hot spring, under the stars.  Price includes open national bar as well as a barbecue dinner. Price $40 U.S.

Boana Cruise: Mon/Wed/Sat 12pm to 6pm.  This 45' sailboat takes you up the north parts of the bay to a secluded beach.  Price includes lunch and national bar.
$50 U.S.

There are several horseback ride tours as well that take you up into the jungle and to some beautiful waterfalls and scenery. Some of the guides are very cute too!

For Lesbians, Vallarta has a couple of new options!

Sappho's Sailing Adventure: Fridays 10:30am-5pm This cruise goes to the southside of the bay and has snorkeling at Los Arcos.  The all-inclusive trip includes full lunch, but bar service is limited to beer, sangria and soft drinks.
The price for this 33' trimaran is $35 U.S. Limited to 17 people.

The "blue chairs" (as the gay stretch of beach is known as) has really expanded over the past 7 years.  During the peak holidays, all you see is a sea of towels and cute boyz!  Upon arrival we'll get you a handy map that will point out this beach and other places of interest.
 
 

Bars and Clubz



The bars and club scene in Puerto Vallarta has become very popular with both tourists and Mexican men from Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City.  It's become the top gay destination now in Mexico!

Some of the places to go are:

Paco Paco Disco  is Vallartas largest and most popular dance complex.  It has a DJ and decent sized dance floor on the main level with some drag shows on the weekends and holidays. On the second level is a pool table bar with a jukebox full of mexican favorites. On the rooftop is another bar with music and an open patio. Its a great place to get some fresh air and "talk". Around the corner is "The Ranch". They have some very hot male strippers there with shows at 11:30pm/1am/3am. And the waiters are very hot there too!  Generally speaking, you can party all night at Paco Paco and The Ranch till about 6am.  Cover charge varies.

Los Balcones:  Vallarta's premiere Gay dance club.  They too have a good DJ and shows. The ambiance of this club is great as well as the balconies you can go out to to cool down and enjoy drinks. Again, the size of the crowd dictates how long the club stays open. Cover charge varies.

Bar La Noche:  Its half a block from Paco Paco and a good starting point for the evening. Quiet lounge atmosphere and cute guys preping for the evening.

Antropology:  Multi level bar with dance floor on the lower level, Second floor bar has strippers at varios parts of the evening and rooftop patio for beautiful starry nights.

The Palm:  is a Show Bar with varios flown in guests performing. A definite good start to your evening .. 508 Olas Altas

Descanso Del Sol:  rooftop bar: a must for the views alone. Situated higher up on the hills, its views and sunsets are amazing. Small pool for a dip, clothing optional. Its almost a tradition to head up here for sunset and cocktails!

Torre Malibu: large pool and sun deck area. Bar service daily till 10pm.

Vallarta Cora pool bar: open daily till 10pm with local boyz always around, in the pool.

Maņana: large pool and open dance floor. Shows, second dj/dance floor inside. Bar service daily till ??? am.

Generally speaking, most of the bars listed are within a 10-15 minute walk of each other. After the 2nd day or so, you'll catch on as to how close these really are. There are now several Gay newspapers/guides to help you navigate the gay bars, restaurants and places of interest.
