My sister loved to feed the seagulls at Nags Head, North Carolina, as displayed here.

I don't know who this kid is, he just came up to me while I was photographing a playground.  I thought he was pretty cute so I took his picture.

This photo actually won first place in state.  I was pretty satisfied in the way I took it at the right moment and in focus.  I took it for the school yearbook at a soccer game, which we ended up winning in overtime.

I like the angle I used in this photo of a freshman history class.

I took this at a homecoming pep rally.  The people you see here are singing the school's alma mater.  This photo won 2nd place in the city.

Here is another photo where I like the angle I used.  I'm just glad I didn't drop the camera.

This picture was taken at a high school wrestling meet.  Little did I know that this guy was a freshman (our yearbook only uses varsity players).  But I liked the shot so I used it anyway.

I shot this at a winter concert.  Notice the choir singing in the background.

This is my sister in the waves at South Padre Island, Texas.  I told her to look my direction, but she didn't listen.

This is a photo of bird watchers at Monterey, California.  I like the way the sunlight provided a silhouette of the couple.

I took this picture at an Easter egg hunt.  I liked the expression on the woman's face after finding two eggs..

Another soccer shot, I am still amazed at how high this guy leaped to head the ball.

I shot this down a row of "pommies" doing leg kicks for a football game against a rival school.

I like how the racket is blurred in this shot to show how fast these guys can hit a tennis ball.  (I found that out the hard way, as I had to sit in between courts to shoot the pictures.)

Yet another soccer shot, this time of girls' soccer.  The best part of shooting soccer is the non-stop action, such as displayed in this photo.

I used this shot to sarcastically demonstrate how the school administrators will do anything to look authoritative.  Even though I set this photo up, they often used their walkie-talkies despite being only 20 feet away from each other.
