SIDI FREDJ

Modern developers were undeterred by lack of amenities and in the 1960's placed further strain on the island's water supplies by building a small number of hotels on the north coast of Sidi Fredj, reached by turning left a couple miles past the causeway. They dubbed this area "Zone Touristique". Now a few holiday clubs and the hotels Grand, Farhat and Cercina front a beach of, admittedly, very white sand and turquoise sea.

Sidi Fredj is known for hotels, unluckily, most of these hotels had to close for various reasons.

  • Hotel Cercina is an NC ( Non-Classified ) hotel.
  • Le Grand Hotel is a ** hotel and is the most active hotel. It mostly works with the British agency Panorama
  • Hotel Appart Aziz is a *** hotel
  • Farhat Hotel is a ** hotel and is currently closed after the will of his owner. It is put for sale now and is most likely to be bought by a group of Italian investors.
  • Kastil Hotel: offers fine cuisine, Prawns, Fresh Seafood, Lamb, Chicken and Veal. Check out the Chefs Speciality on Friday and Saturday nights 8 PM Till 10 PM at prices you can afford.
  • Residence Club: used to be one of the best places to go have fun, play bingo and attend the live animation by very talented people, the club has been closed for about six years now and is put for sale for investors.
