The Islands of Kerkennah are one of the Mediterraneans' best kept secrets...

Quiet and peaceful with no crowds few shops and hardly any traffic. They are ideal for those wishing to do a little more than laze the days away on sun drenched golden beaches. First impressions of Kerkennah are a hypnotic expanse of wind blowing palms and a totally flat sandy landscape. The sea is so shallow that hundred meters from the shore, the clear, and unpolluted water is still below waist. Kerkennah is reached by ferry from the busy mainland port of Sfax. There is one reasonably large village,Remla, 10 minutes drive from the hotels area. The local people are warm and hospitable and there are many friendships forged between holidaymakers and local families. Nightlife is limited and the only bright lights you are likely to find are the brilliant stars, which appear nightly overhead!
