Below, inside the real Pantheon, a church originally constructed
by Marcus Agrippa in 27 b.c. as a memorial temple. A 27ft. circular
opening at the top let the sacrificial smoke out. The inside is 142ft
wide & 142 ft high with no supporting interior structures. St. Peter's
dome at the Vatican is 2 ft. smaller.
