Lots of Special Activities Scheduled During June & July

Several special events are slated for Fairfield Branson guests in June and July including "A Country Fourth of July" from 3:30 -7:30 PM.

Family fishing, a golf clinic, scuba diving, a wellness nutrition seminar and a Eureka Springs Excursion are also on the schedule.

Other activities scheduled include Ride the Ducks, IMAX and Hollywood Wax Museum specials. Also offered are Movie, Spring Feast, Rock 'n' Roll Feast, Cowboy Cookin & Kickin and Hawaiian Luau Nights. Taco Thursdays is also featured on Thursday night and the Wine and Cheese Party followed by Bingo is on Monday night.

Meadows Pavilion Now Open

The first part of the new activities building, the pavilion was christened with a Fourth of July party in 1999. The open-air building has a stage on one end and seating for several hundred at picnic tables. Many resort activities have been moved to the new facility shown in the picture below.

Fairfield Branson to Expand Across Highway 165 Adjacent to the Lawrence Welk Resort

Early this year, Fairfield began construction of Mountain Vista, a 388-unit development across the street from the Meadows, adjacent to the Welk Resort.

Scheduled to be built in two phases, the finished complex will included 13 villa buildings, several swimming pools, a recreation building, an 18-hole miniature golf course and several tot lots.

Construction Continues at Fairfield at the Meadows

The construction never ends at Fairfield at the Meadows. Buildings 30, 31 and 32 were completed in April, 2000. The sales department now occupies the bottom two floors of this new building.

During January the old Sales Center became the new check-in facility. This involved construction of a new check-in counter to accommodate five workstations and new offices to provide a smooth check-in area. At that time the former Gatehouse was converted into the new Member Services location.

Meanwhile, the construction of Buildings 33, 34 and 35 is also complete. A July, 2001, opening is set for buildings 36, 37 and 38 and buildings 39, 40 and 41 are to go on-line in August. That leaves only buildings 18 and 19 to be constructed at the current Fairfield at the Meadows site.

New Recreation Center Construction Completed

Construction of the recreation center on the Fairfield at the Meadows site is now complete. The building was used the first time for the Millennium New Year's Eve Party.

The 10,000 square foot building includes an indoor pool, fitness room, game room, sauna, tanning bed, movie rentals, board games, pool room and more.

In addition, outside the new facility there are three outdoor swimming pools, three spas, two kids pools, cabana, barbecue area, tots playground area, pavilion and shuffleboard and horseshoes areas.

The Rec. Center is open seven days a week from 8 AM to 11 PM.
