Interschool Sports/Activities: Participated in all sporting events. Interschool sports competition against two international schools in town. One is an Australia school, the other can't remember (I believe it has always been nemesis of Uplands).

Interschool Sports/Activities: Was in the Uplands Student Council for several years, serving as Secretary for one year. Was a co-editor of Young Voices of Asia, a literary magazine. Participated in various competitions, and won the Aberdeen Trophy for Elocution in 1995 and the Year 9 Best Debater's Award.

Comments: I'm glad to be part of the Ex-Uplander's Society. The few years I spent in Uplands were certainly some of my most memorable and I really do hope to contact those who I have lost touch with.

Interschool Sports/Activities: On the school netball team for 3 years (Goal Keeper); Invovled in the plays: "The Tree That Held Up The Sky", "Animal Farm", "Grease"; Student council Vice-President for 1 year; Worked in the school tuck-shop for 3 years; Took part in various debating and elocution competitions within Uplands
Status: Currently live in Hong Kong doing my two-year 'A' level course at Sha Tin College. I finish in 1999, but still don't know what I'll be doing yet, either take gap year or go straight to drama school.

Comments: I must say that while you are there you don't tend to think so, but Uplands really is a wonderful school. I don't think it's until you leave it's cozy, family-like environment that you fully realise what an advantage it was to be a part of it. I'm glad that I was able to go there, and hope that ex-Uplanders all stay in contact as it's a good thing to be able to hold on to such pleasant memories of great people and a friendly school.
