The dot in the center of this picture, next to a snow drift, is a
bear. With binoculars it could be just made out.
It was quite a good walk, but I made it up to the first bit of
snow, and stood in it. I was going to be daring and step off the
path, and try to take my picture with a timer, when there appeared
another man running all over the scenery, albeit with tennis shoes.
We took each other's picture. I think he was a waiter from the ship.
I think this picture was taken in Juneau, but if not it was
Skagway. Some butterflies on a branch:
I also took a couple of photos of a marmot. It was very
cooperative. When my camera's automatic focus pinged the marmot froze
in whatever position it was in, making photography easy.
