John was a 10th round pick by the NFL's
Dallas Cowboys in 1992. He signed with the Chicago Bears a year later
and joined the Toronto Argonauts in 1994 as a free agent . John was
obtained by the Roughriders in 1996. He garnered all-star honors in
his second of two years at Livingstone College, where he played
guard. Prior to attending Livingstone, John played at Johnson C Smith
University. He earned lineman of the week three times as a senior.
John has also made the CFLPA all-star team for the second consecutive
year.
