My Hobbies and Interests
I have through my many years been involved in a variety of interests and hobbies.
For the most part I am self taught. The tole painting I have done was begun in
classes I took. It has extended to acryllics on canvas. Most of what I paint is given to my children or other family members.

In 1978 our youngest child, Kari, was really into the fashion doll phase. We had wasted money on the "fashion doll houses" that were on the market at the time. So I decided to make one of wood that would last for her future generations. We bought a 10 inch table saw and with that, a router, and a saber saw as my power tools the doll house became a reality. It is today enjoyed by Kari's daughter and step-daughter.

This doll house was made in 1995 for grandaughter Caitlin Schmidt in Wisconsin. I had planned to make all the furniture except kitchen and some bath and den items. It just didn't happen. It is scaled to 11 inch fashion dolls at 1"=6".
