Over my "Savage Summer," I managed to see the guys live and in concert 4 times. It was supposed to be 5, but the Cincinnati show was cancelled! :( I saw the June 28th show in Chicago -- their first stop on their U.S. tour! I saw the July 10th show in L.A. -- very cool since Daniel whipped out the tickets and gave them to Darren, who then gave them to me! :) I then saw them in Indianapolis on the 13th of August. (See the pics below.) My final trip to see Savage Garden put me in Louisville on the 29th of August -- their last stop in the U.S. and the last stop on the World Tour. (See even more pics below!)

I managed to get a few concert shots of they guys to turn out, and here they are! These are from the Indianapolis show.

Darren and Daniel -- the Australian Dynamic Duo!

This Side of Me

This really seems to be my lucky summer. At the Indy show, I managed to snag one of Daniel's guitar picks! **WHOOPPEE**

I also convinced my friend Lynn that we should hang out like a bunch of groupies after the show in Indy. After waiting for quite some time and making some new friends and carrying on talking about Darren and Daniel, Darren came out to talk to us. He showed us the acrobat inside the man by scaling a fence and jumping down to be by us. I got another hug -- and even managed to get a kiss **smooch** and Lynn managed to snap a few shots. Here you go!

Well, the tour is over and my favorite men have crossed the ocean to go home! But I managed one last Hurrah! to end my Savage Summer. I made it to the last stop on their 1998 World Tour -- in, of all places, Louisville, KY. I met some very cool fans -- and much to my surprise was recognized thanks to my little TV stint! :)

I took my camera loaded with film, and I took big envelopes with letters, small gifts, and pics for the guys with the hopes I could hand deliver them! I didn't get to do that -- but the nicest roadie in the world (the one I chatted with in Indy) took the envelopes and said he'd deliver them.....check this photo out -- it's after the show and look what Daniel has in his hand -- a big envelope! WHOOPPEE!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I'm jumping ahead in the story! I got to the venue at about 1:30 PM -- the concert started at 8:00PM. (Yes, I am a freak, and I can admit I have a problem.) I met up with a very cool gal from LA named Krista (great name, eh?). We also hung out with a group from Florida -- the glitter/confetti crew! (you know who you are!) Well, like a fool, I had to snap shots of Daniel getting off the bus, so here he is with his guitar, with Lindsey, and getting stuff off the bus! (He wouldn't turn around, so you get a proverbial butt shot!)

Well, the show rocked the world -- the only flaw was the set up of the stage...as my summer of luck would have it, my seats were DEAD CENTER!!!!! I did a dance of joy when I found them. The stage was set about 50 feet back from the edge of the crowd -- so there was to be no rushing the stage. Billie Myers is so amazing. She was at war with the guys since it was the last show and came out to sabotage All Around Me!

I, of course, managed to snag a few, live-action shots of Darren singing his heart out. Enjoy! :) I also, must comment looking at the first shot, Darren, those 2 hour a day workouts have been well worth it! You look buff! **wink**

I couldn't resist taking as many pictures as I could with the completed set (matched pair -- whatever your prefer!) in the frame. I enjoy these shots most of all. I hope you do too!

After the concert we hung out like groupies (again) and Darren did come out. I managed to cozy up next to him, put my arm around his shoulder, and let my sister take a picture. He was signing autographs and being mobbed, so I thought I'd just get my picture and walk away....(hey, I could've hand delivered his envelope!) So, he looks over at me -- like, who's this freak who's touching me. I smile and say, "Hi, how are you? It's nice to see you again." Then he smiled really big and said, "You!" Then he looked at where my sister was and we both smiled pretty for the camera. He then announced they had to go and left. I was exstatic that he actually recognized me!!!! I got my pictures developed and the dumb idiot in front of my sister moved her head and cut off 3/5 of Daz's face. **sigh** Oh well, I did manage to get this side shot of him!!!

Okay, several people have asked that I add this shot to the page anyway...you can see how lovely "hair lady" ruined what would've been a perfectly beautiful shot....okay, I don't look too hot, but it was midnight and I'd been hanging around outside since 1:30 -- so I feel I look great! **laugh**

And last but not least for the Kentucky section of my homepage -- here is a shot of my older sister and I after the show. I know -- we look like we've been run over by cement trucks, but keep in mind we'd been there since 1:30 and it had been 88 degrees with monster humidity!

I also have a shot of Krista and I -- but thought I'd let her see it before I post it! :)
