~Dragon's Guide to Florida Freshwater Fish~

Worms, insects, grass-shrimp, bread, and shiners are good.

LIMITS:

Due to the wide county to county and lake to lake regulations, I am including a link to the Florida Freshwater Fish and Game Commission so you may look up the lake or area of interest to you.


Otherwise, these general guidelines apply:

Panfish-[including: bluegill, redear sunfish (shellcracker) spotted sunfish (stumpknocker) redfin pickerel] 50 per day.
Blackbass- (largemouth, spotted, suwannee, & shoal)Total of 5 per day. 14" nose to tail only one can be larger than 22".
Black Crappie (Speckeled Perch) or White Crappie- Total of 25 per day.
Striped, White, and Sunshine Bass- 20 per day. Excepting the Suwannee River and areas north and west of the Suwannee River: 3 per day. 18", combined bag limit is 20 fish.
Butterfly Peacock Bass- 2. Only one may be 17" or larger.
NO Speckled Peacock Bass may be taken. They must be released immediately!
