Comments: I have noticed that there have been a substantial number hits to the East Timor feature over the last week (the count tripled). I have, however, not recieved any comments or emails or the like. I hope those who are accessing the feature are finding it i formative. It would be great if you could leave a note saying either it is garbage or it was informative, ... whatever. I can only hope that the government of Canada, among others, will get the picture that they are accomplices to the whole terrible mess and that good ol' Lloyd Axworthy will bust a stronger move against this ridiculousness. Governments have their amnesty to protect themselves...so the least they can do is recognize the error of their ways and begin to make ammends after years of covering their eyes and ears.

Comments: JD..Mon dieux(sp?). Great photos, huge cliffs. Don't fall. Things are good here, but two kids keep one grounded and busy. Jilly and I finishing up the summer with the kids here in Van. Not alot of new news. Working hard...work is easier, more fun with les time to prep and all. Went to Guelph in early July, some large landscaping projects have virtually changed the town into Toronto. Nick is almost 4, Jamie is coming on 2. We do alot of hiking out her..Whistler, Capilano etc. Keep it simple, eat well, dri k well you know, the French-canadian influence. Cheers.

Comments: Hey Man, the concerns you are expressing on food security vs The Wortd Economy in fact sounds reminiscent of a conflict right here in Canada, where small scale farmers are fighting for their way of life against the menace of corporate large scale agricu ture. Many of the dairy farmers here are being left with the options of giving up their livleyhood or trying to compete on the BIG playing field - which is in fact another way of abandoning that cherished way of life... The only thing preventing "a fair free-market system" is the quota system which tells them how much they can produce. You can guess how popular THAT is with our Americvan cousins!
