Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia. It is on the West Coast of Peninsula Malaysia and is somewhere in the middle between North and South. Kuala Lumpur is in the State of Selangor but Kuala Lumpur was declared a Federal Territory in 1974, and the state ended its jurisdiction over the city.
In the middle of the picture shown, is the Menara Kuala Lumpur or KL Tower. It is situated atop Bukit Nanas, This building is 94 meters above sea level. It is the third tallest building in the world (421 meters). The function of this tower if that of telecommunications, radio and broadcasting. The public can also have access to this building. There is a revolving restaurant up there. Kuala Lumpur on the whole is a very modern city. Expansion and development is so rapid that sometimes it might seem chaotic because of the traffic diversion to make way for new roads and other developments.
