    Qsl Procedures

    Please follow these guidelines

    Thank you!

Contacts with 8Q7XX will be confirmed upon request direct, or by Internet e-mail with a photo colour card. I'll not simply send out cards 100% to all callsigns in the log.

    VERY IMPORTANT

    DO NOT SEND BUREAU QSLs!!!

If you send a Qsl via the bureau this only cost you money, because I'll never receive your card. I'm not member of my national bureau.

Email request and Qsl's received without suficient return postage willl be sent through the respective national bureau at my own pocket expense.

DIRECT QSLs: Post direct requests to:

    Roberto Díaz
    Pobox 50.546
    28080 Madrid
    SPAIN
    or
    Roberto Díaz
    Doce de Octubre #4
    28009 Madrid
    SPAIN

If you require a direct reply, please include with your card enough payment for return postage. This will normally be one U.S. Dollar or two International Reply Coupons for one or two reply cards. Any additional funds are appreciated as they go towards other QSLing costs, such as printing. Direct requests with no reply postage will be answered via the bureau at my own pocket expense. Especially, please do not forget to enclose a reply airmail envelope addressed to yourself (not just a label). And please write the name of your country IN CAPITAL LETTERS as the final line in the address.

RESPONSE TIMES: It takes at least two months to print the cards. I hope that direct replies will begin to flow during first week of December, 1997. Replies to email cards will be processed after all the direct request will be cleared, so do not expect your cards soon. Please remember that the total delay for cards to work their way through the bureau system can be one year, or more.

DUPLICATE CARDS: Please do not send a second card. If QSLing direct, please do not also send request via email. This simply costs everyone more money and time. A small number of cards may get lost in transit. If you have not received a reply direct within three to four months, send me an email and I'll check. Email request will be sent just one time, no second request.

YOUR CARD: Please help my hard-working QSL managing by:

    • Sending cards that CLEARLY show your own call sign.
    • Placing your call sign and all QSO details on the same side of the card.
    • Writing band, date and time CLEARLY.
    • NEVER using staples or adhesive tape.

E-MAIL REQUESTS: To save costs for all of you and allow to everybody to get confirmed your contacts, I'm happy to accept requests for QSL confirmations via e-mail. To request a card, please send e-mail to EA4DX at: ea4dx@oocities.com .The SUBJECT should read: "8Q7XX QSL REQUEST" Be sure to include in the body of the message complete information for each QSO: YOUR CALL SIGN, BAND(S), DATE and TIME IN GMT. These cards will be sent to you via the bureau. Note: These are regular QSL cards; electronic QSLs by e-mail and log information via FTP will not be available. It should be remembered that cards sent to a QSL bureau can take up at least to 12 months to reach you. If you want a direct reply, then please send in a direct request in the usual way. In the event that an e-mail QSL is found to be "not in the log" we will let you know via email. Please understand that if there is any delay on the email qsling...You should understand that you are not in hurry.

LOG CHECKING ON LINE:I 'll appreciate to all of you with java browsers, check your QSO's before sending me any mail. If you do not appear in this search engine you will not appear on my log either !! So save your money for next time.

THANKS FOR QSO: We very much appreciate your calling to me during my Dxpedition, and hope that 8Q7XX was a "new one." I'll treat QSL'ing as a high priority - the "final courtesy" and more - I will work hard to do the job well.. Anything you can do to make my life easier will be greatly appreciated.

These guidelines has been adapted from those written by The VooDoo Contest Group for their 1997 CQ World-Wide CW Contest DXpedition to Togo as 5V7A Thank you and good luck guys!!!!
