Some of my own true stories

Having grown up on a boat and having such fond memories of it, I talk about it often and have evolved a reportoire of stories of incidents from those days from aged twelve, back as far as I can recall - about three. I have a vague idea of writing a book about it, but as with the majority of such ideas, it has not quite got off the ground. I'd write from the eyes of the child I was then, thus eliminating a lot of research. My idea was to write a enough of these incidents down, form them into chronological order and call it "Cradle Rocks". My family and friends have enjoyed reading these stories as I get around to writing them, so to make it easier for those with internet access I will post the completed stories here for the moment. Hopefully I will write more as time goes by.

During my time working for EBRD in Eastern Europe, travelling to really strange places in Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, I tried to keep a diary to record these events, for myself and, for my friends and family to get an insight into what I was doing out there. Over the five years I installed complete computer systems in more than five offices per year, ending up with twenty-eight by 1997. In '92 & '93 I was working on the first dozen, after that it got too hectic to keep writing regularily.
