Old Man's Gasthaus
This Gasthaus was frequented by a lot of folks in Lahr commonly referred to as the Old Man's. Many a fun night was had in this amazingly small, cozy establishment. This photo was taken in June 1992 (Barry Patrick)

Mohne See dam
This is the dam just outside Soest made famous by the British effort to flood the Ruhr valley by blowing up 3 strategic dams in 1943. This one was the only one successfully bombed. A famous movie called "The Dam Busters" was made about it. This photo was also taken in June 1992. (Barry Patrick)

Tony’s
This will bring back memories for those who were in Lahr in the 80s, now known as Bergbrauerei Zahler, a quite respectable (it sure wasn’t then!!) restaurant/Bistro. I think Erika is still alive..I recall seeing her last year (if anyone's interested)

Globe Theatre/Canex
On the airfield. Canex part turned into a discotheque called the "Aviator", the snackbar is still a snackbar called "Peter’s Airport Grill"
