Behold our hero, the last Schattenjager, Gabriel Knight! Gabriel Knight, an American novelist from New Orleans, is the protagonist of the Gabriel Knight games. His voice is played by the award-winning actor Tim Curry in Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers and in Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within he is played the obscure but very talented Dean Erickson. In my opinion, Dean Erickson portrayed Gabriel Knight pefected, he looks like what you would expect Gabriel to look like, and he is a surprisingly good actor. It is shame not to have him in Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned. But Tim Curry's performance was good as well.

Gabriel Knight is a Schattenjager, in english that means "Shadow Hunter." He is the last in a long line of Ritters, a prominent German family. In Gabriel Knight 2, Gabriel Knight is called upon by some villagers to investigate a bunch of mutilation killings believed to be done by werewolves. So he leaves the safety of Schloss Ritter to investigate the killings, and find the true killer. His investigations take him much closer to the danger than he originally wanted, and he soon finds himself hunted by a strange enemy. . .
