Descriptions for Strike at the Shadow and A Fire Reborn : Both available soon.

Divinity and Divine Right are, repsectively, the scenario generation and scenario gameplay engine for the shareware game Realmz. This game originates with a company called Fantasoft. Realmz and Divinity are both designed for roleplaying along similar lines to that used by TSR. However, Divinity is more powerful as a scenario creation system than any previous generation programs for other role playing games. You want to know more about Realmz and Divinity? Click here

Strike at The Shadow

A scenario for starting level adventurers

Zaurag the Twisted. A name long used only for frightening children. A name whose true meaning has been lost. The name of one of the most vile menaces ever to be tagged an Enchanter. The name once of one of the greatest magic users to ever dwell in the Realmz. Knowledge of this man is largely lost except for labels such as the Master of Mutation, the ShadowBringer.

However the time is here that the old secrets must be unveiled, the nature of this dark genius and his creations be shown. An Enchanter, according to the rules of the Realmz, must interact with and, occasionally work to improve their environment. Zaurag interacted, certainly but his methods of “improving” nature through experiments on unwilling subjects quickly had him expelled from the Guild of Enchanters. It was about this time, five hundred years ago, that he created the race known as the Tai’pan. The Tai’pan were created as a slave caste for his use, and this purpose they served admirably. Physically they resemble a stomach turning blend of lizardmen and Kobold. Their exact origins are lost, but they are undoubtedly spawn of Zaurags endless experiments on living creatures. Zaurag also created other, far more dreaded mutants to serve him, and it soon became clear that in his corruption - both physical and mental - that he posed a great threat to all that the Enchanters held precious. Seeing this, they suddenly brought their combined skill to bear on Zaurag, and created a prison of power which they claimed would hold him. Although they could not kill him they bound him there, forever. At this same time they created three strange artifacts. Fashioned as orbs, these things were connected somehow to Zaurag and his prison. Never gregarious, the Enchanters at the time hid the orbs and did not pass on knowledge of them, hoping that they would be forgotten.

For five hundred years they were. But now the Tai’pan have reemerged from the deserts and steaming mud pits where they were spawned. They seek the three orbs. But why? What do these artifacts do? To find out, the orbs must be recovered from their hidden locations and brought together. One already the Tai’pan have recovered, one is in the hands of the pompous College of Wizards. The third is lost. The journey leads through hidden long lost caves to discover ancient secrets, through the civilisations of human and elf, and finally into the hell - spawned centre of corruption that is the heart of the Tai’pan race and Zaurags ancient empire. Loathsome mutants and myriad other foes will have to be faced before this threat can be truly understood, let alone defeated. For few know just how sinister and deep the true darkness that threatens them is...

The time has come to bring the orbs together to unlock their ages old purpose. For it seems that only this way can the Shadow which reaches out from the past be finally defeated.

A Fire Reborn ; Background

A Realmz Adventure For Level 60+ Characters

Twelve centuries have passed since the great fire - demon Xo’ar was banished to the abyss. Xo’ar was an ancient creature, among the mightiest and most evil of all the abyss dwellers. He was possessed with the desire to reform the Realmz into a hell which he alone should rule, a place where the fires of his everlasting hate might burn unchallenged. He ruled a plane of the abyss, yet there was nothing there which was not already utterly corrupted and destroyed by his flames, and he longed to destroy and burn anew.

However, he was for ages unable to achieve this, and the roar of his hate was heard only in the abyss. He could not leave the abyss without a mighty spell of summoning being spoken from the Realmz to grant him entry. Seeking this, he sought through dreams and visions to corrupt some among the inhabitants of the Realmz to his will. The ancient histories record that four of the mightiest people in the Realmz secretly betrayed their fellows and allied themselves to him. These four were named the Dark Minions, and their foul acts brought ruin throughout the Realmz. In order to summon Xo’ar, they sacrificed hundreds of souls to fuel their sorcery, ending with the weaving of a great charm, which lasted a night and a day. At the end of this, Xo’ar stood before them. For six nights and days the Realmz was ravaged with fire and death as flamespawn surged out from the abyss. At the end of the sixth night, a woman called Shian, one of the greatest Paladins ever known, somehow entered the fortress where the Dark Minions dwelt. Each one she fought, and each she defeated and bound with chains of thought and strength of will. However, this titan effort took all she had, and she died after imprisoning the fourth. This great deed was a disaster for the fire creatures. Unlike his four highest servants, Xo’ar was no war leader. In his furious rage he simply attacked blindly anywhere he saw resistance. As the tide turned, the forces of light combined their power for a final spell against Xo’ar himself. In one devastating battle between Realmz - folk and flamespawn Xo’ar was caught by the spell, his ties to the Realmz were cut, and he was banished with a vast, final howl of wrath. His fire - creatures were destroyed. The Realmz was saved.

This much is known to all.

Now, twelve hundred years later, dark signs are emerging that this victory was not as complete as first thought. Strange sightings have been reported, of returned fire - creatures whose violent rage haunts the dwellers in remote towns. In the north, the Dark Elves, lightless and evil, prepare for war. To the south, the foul race of the Tai’pan, long thought broken, stir again under the leadership of their last, most depraved priest. And, most worrying of all, folks whisper that the chains which bound the Dark Minions have been broken, that the Dark Minions have re-entered the world. But where are they? For these were not foul demons but people of ordinary appearance. They could be wearing any disguise, be in any place.

Always watch your back...

You begin in the prosperous town and nation of Shiania, named after the martyred Paladin Shian - the Savior of eons ago. Here begins your Great Task... to hunt the hidden Dark Minions, and ultimately to prevent the fate which once almost embroiled the Realmz from repeating itself. To save the Realmz from fire and destruction. Who can say where you will go and who you will face before your quest is over?
