Space and HuMankind

Eight Thousand years ago, Christopher Columbus Boldly sailed into the seas, thinking the world was round, and searching for glory.

Five hundred Years ago, Evan Carver boldly sailed for the stars, knowing space was infinite, and searching for a home.

In the year 6417 the Earth was polluted, overcrowded and losing her ability to sustain life. These problems were not new, but had finally reached a crisis state. If life on Earth were to continue, Eighty percent of the human population would have to leave.

Evan Carver, Director of Azure systems ( a propulsion research Laboratory ) had foreseen the coming crisis, and for decades secretly planned for a broad scale evacuation. In the twenty-three years before 6417, food and water were stockpiled, and symbiotic habitation environments were researched. The chances of a successful mass exodus were becoming almost a likelihood, when in 6417 World War 7 broke out. Knowing that any future for humanity might rest on an immediate escape, Evan Carver quickly marshaled his resources and set out for the stars.

It is now 6956 and we are still searching for a new home, for Mankind.
