The Commonwealth Scientific
& Industrial Research Organisation
Division of Forestry
The CSIRO Division of Forestry in Perth,
Western Australia has been involved in research in
ectomycorrhizal fungi since the early 1980s. These
investigations, many funded by industry and with collaborating
partners, have centred on the biology of the fungi and their
potential for increasing productivity in eucalypts under
glasshouse and field conditions. These studies have now been
extended overseas to include Guandong province in China.
