Rincewind.  A wizzard.  At Least, generally referred to as a wizard.
He is tall, thin and scrawny, with a raggedy beard that looks like the kind of beard worn by people who aren't cut out by Nature to be beard wearers.  He is a survivor.  There are scars all over him.  Mostly on his Back.

Karl Douglass was born in 1978 and is still not dead.  (Although due to an incident involving his girlfriend and, er, ... his other girlfriend*, he almost was) * They found out about each other
He started out as a baby and quickly grew up, stopping about a foot short for his weight. Karl lives in North Shields, a town once famed for shipbuilding and fishing, now famous for, um,... Lumps of rain, and Steve Watson, footballer extraordinaire. Stan Laurel used to live there too.

He is currently a student at Newcastle University, doing a degree in Computing Science, because he thought it would be easy.
Computers?  When he was five, Karl had an almost supernatural dislike of footballs (They kept tripping him up) So his parents bought him a spectrum 48k

If you want to find Karl, he is usually in the Uni Gym on Tuesday Afternoons, at the Student Union Bar most Tuesday Nights, especially if there is a Comedy Club on, in which case he will be in Global and at work on Mon, Wed and Fri nights.
If this fails, he will probably be in bed with the luscious Vicki.
