Most of the time Blake Savage looks like he just walked out of the back country, dust on his boots, and a leather backpack thrown over his shoulder. With a gleem of danger in his eyes and multiple weapons on his side, only the brave or the foolish would tangle with him. He has a rugged look, with a full black beard and earth colored clothes. The chirping sound he makes when he calls his Steller Jay companion is a stark contrast to his hardened appearance.

          The locals of Daggerdale have mixed feelings about Blake. Some see him as the dale's protector, while others see the boiling hatred in his eyes and fear him. Regardless of how they perceive him, all have heard some version of the rumor that Blake has met with the goddess Chauntea the Earth Mother personally. This rumor is not quieted in any way by the iron symbol of Chauntea displyed on a chain about the ranger's neck.
