The door glides open effortlessly. "Of course, Magic. It seems that magic is no longer limited to scorcerers and wizards. Even the barbarians who profess a disdain of magic desire magic in their weapons."

MAGIC

This page is to share with other gamers some of the magic items and spells that we have either created or have ran across in different modules, computer games, etc. Due to copyright issues that T$R are being assholes about, these pages may get taken off at any time, so grab these while you can. To read T$R's copyright policy, click here .They do have some valid points, but from what I've seen, the higer ups have probably never even played the games they sell. Even if they have, they are NOT classified as gamers, they are classified as buisness men. They care about the bottom line ( profits). Period. But, I'm addicted to AD&D, so I don't see a boycott in my immedeate future. Oh, well, on with the subject. By the way, if you want to use thes items on your page, feel free, all I ask is to put a link to my page on yours, and give me credit for the item.

Magic Items

LIVING CLOAK- When worn, this cloak makes the air immediately surrounding the character as solid as wet jello. The resulting barrier blocks the inertia of attacks, halving the damage from all moster breath weapons, missle attacks, acid, gas, and ice spells (storms and such). This comes from the cloak being intelligent enough to have one psionic power (inertial barrier).

KOSH'S CUTTER- This is a longsword with a blade made not of metal, but a single diamond! It is a +3 sword of sharpness. And if that wasn't enough, the sword is intelligent. It can speak telepathicaly with any wielder that it accepts as an equal. It is a completely good sword, and will urge its user to follow the path of good, even if it means breaking the law (neutral good). Once a day it can use any of the following powers: heal its user of all damage. Increase strength attribute by d4 pts. If the swords willpower is higher than the wielder's then the sword can take control of the wielder completely, but will not do so a long as the wielder is following the tenents of the sword's view of good.

BRACERS OF POWER- This item is one of the most powerful items I have ever made up. I can only put this one in D&D terms, so grab this one while you can, before T$R finds it. These bracers are made out of black adamantite, with a single blood red ruby in the center of each. There are no other markings on these bracers. The bracers can hold a total of 30 charges, and they recharge by absorbing spell levels. The following powers cost one charge each:

The following powers cost 3 charges each:

And the following cost 10 charges each:

The bracers also give a base AC of 2, and a +2 bonus to all saving throws. just like a Staff of the Magi, a retributive strike will occur if the bracers are overcharged, or if the wielder wills it. The same rules as the Staff apply. Now, I highly suggest this item not be given out lightly. If you wish to use it , you might want to give it a drawback of some sort, like the one I usually use is that the bracers can only have one wielder at a time. The only way for a person to get rid of them is to die. that's all fine and good, why would anyone want to get rid of them? Simple, the person who made them wants them back. Who made them? I usually use a demon or devil of the most powerful sort, a pit fiend or a type VI demon (Balor). But feel free to use your favorite curse or side effect.

STAFF OF THE UNDEAD- The wood that makes up the bulk of this staff must come from the trunk of an evil treant, soaked in the blood of a vampire, that must be given up willingly. The metal shods on the tips must be heated by the breath of a red dragon. And finally, the hand wrappings must be the wrappings from a mummy the creater has killed. The spells used to finish the staff are, in order: enchant an item, animate dead, contact other plane (negative material), control undead, permanancy. the staff is +3 to hit and damage, and can control undead as a 9th level priest, but cannot control any undead more powerful than a vampire. In the hands of anyone but a necromancer, though, the staff functions as a +1 staff, but it attracts undead. If anyone other than a necromancer weilds the staff, any undead come across will sense the staff's power, and attack the wielder, ignoring anyone else in the party.

DARTS OF THE ZOMBIE- These darts are +2 to hit and damage, but that is the least of thier powers. Anyone hit by these darts must make a save vs death or be transformed into a zombie completely under the wielder's control. No one can steal control of zombies created in this fashion, and the zombie will act just like a normal zombie created by the wielder. If the zombie has not been destroyed , when the wielder dies or is killed, the zombie automatically regains all memories of his life prior to being made undead. He can then seek out one who can transform him back to his original form. If you use these darts, set your own way to get transformed back, but in my game, he must find a priest of the God of Death (Kelemvor in the Forgotten Realms) to cast a remove curse, which transforms him back then kills him, and then ressurection. That way not any ol' priest'll do. It has to be a pretty high level priest. After he regains his memory, he can then use all his class abilities, with the exception of priests. Their divine magic cannot be called upon in this state. The afflicted character cannot advance in levels while in this state.

Well, that's all for now, if you have any magic you'd like to see on here, just Email me and we'll get it up. Happy gaming!
