The Riddle:
"This deadly weapon isn't yours,
It isn't hers or his.
For it belongs to me you see
And this is who's it is.
What is it?"

After several guesses, all of which wrong his time runs out. The answer was Mine

Professor "Deadly weapon, belongs to me. And this goes into the sea! And give my best to the Master of the... Fort. I can hear him muttering. Or is it me?"

Either way, Simon swims for it and gets it.

Challenge 2 - The Mystery Ceiling Boxes
Boyard: "Fiddle de diddle-de dee, we missed the riddle did we... Well at least one of you miserable lot has found their sea legs but you obviously haven't because I don't like the way you're standing. So I'll tell you what you can do, you can practice standing on him and if you're not out of there before this runs out you'll be dragged kicking and screaming to the dungeons. Jacques, the door."

This game is played with Sam standing atop Darren. After finding the first couple of boxes difficult to open (because they were holding the stick the wrong way) they eventually find the box with the key, only to almost forget it. They remember in the end though and win the game.
Keys:2 Prisoners:0

Challenge 3 - The Rotating Cylinders
Boyard "Oi! You at the end... Would you say you were well balanced?"

Played by Christine, she never really progresses anywhere only managing to get as far as the third cylinder (about halfway across)>
Keys:2 Prisoners:0

Challenge 4 - Excalibur
Boyard: "Haven't done too well do far, have you? Simon, you're good at pulling, aren't you? They're for you [hands him a pair of gauntlets], you wouldn't want to ruin your namby-pamby hands, would you?"

Simon manages to get the sword out after a while but doesn't really have enough time to cut the rope with it.
Keys:2 Prisoners:0

Challenge 5 - The Watchtower
David is sent back to the watchtower.

Professor "Tell me this, before Rutherford split the atom, did he spend a bit of time just poking it?"

The Riddle
"This famous detective has one for the road,
You can work out his name if you know it's a code.
What is it?"

David gets it correct straight off, the answer was Morse

Professor "What does one have to do to be up here alone? What whatever it is I seem to be... doing it!"
Keys:3 Prisoners:0

Challenge 6 - The Web
Boyard: "Well you're looking a bit rough to me, especially you on the end there, Shortie. You know what comes with rough, don't you? Tumble. And you're going to take one."

Sam doesn't seem to have too much trouble with this game getting to the end and back for the key with reasonable alacrity.
Keys:4 Prisoners:0

Boyard: "Go on, how many keys have you got? Well, I know you're from Birmingham but if you want me to speak slowly I will! Well, getting your four keys was just the qualifying round, here comes the knockout..."

The Adventures

Adventure 1 - The Watchtower (David)
Professor: "If you were travelling at the speed of light, how can you possibly see where to go?"

The Riddle:
"You can't be a man with one but you can be a son of one."
"You can apply paint with it."
"This holds people up, especially in banks."

Sadly, after guessing 'Counter' and 'till' he didn't get it. The answer was in fact Gun

Adventure 2 - The Balancing Pole
Boyard:"It's all down to Chrissie now. She wasn't very good at the balancing earlier on but this time I've made it very easy. I've given her a rope and a bar to hold on to... Have fun brcause I certainly am!"

Christine attempts the Tightrope walk. We are told at the beginning of the show that she hates heights and it shows here. She is given 3:15 to complete the walk but only gets about two thirds of the way.
Clues so far:[Gun].

Adventure 3 - The Searching Head
Boyard: "Oh, and a bit of advice...blow, don't suck."

This Adventure is given to Darren who by his team profile at the beginning says is scared of insects. Well, he would have to face them here! On the board outside, the five rouge words were (in chamber order): Forget, Font, Format, Foist and Fort, leaving only the clue which is Foot
Clues so far:[Gun], Foot

Adventure 4 - The Fishing Net
Boyard: "Well you've been so pathetic I've had to set Dave adrift on that raft but if he performs as well as you lot his next sight of land will be America! He's got to go fishing because on the end of that net is a clue. Good job its a clue and not fish because you'd all starve, wouldn't you? Alright Dave, you know what you've got to do, get on with it."

David has 3:00 to pull in 30 metres pf fishing net which gets harder as it goes along. He does manage though with about 0:45 to go. The clue is Blue
Clues so Far:[Gun], Foot, Blue.

Adventure 5 - The Snake Pit
Boyard: "Down there are lots and lots and lots and lots of lovely little slippery things... and have a guess who's going down there?... You."
Melinda: "Relatives of yours, Boyard?"

Sam attempts to find the two halves of a clue written on two snakes. She seems to start of well enough (she dislikes reptiles) but it's only when she's opened one of the cupboards she realises the true horror of the game: "I don't wanna be doing this..." She seems a strong woman though and does eventually find the two halves, one of which was lying on the floor next to the barrel and seemed to have slipped off. "It's like they're all staring at you!" She says afterwards. The clue she gets is CUR/RY...CURRY
Clues so far:[Gun], Foot, Blue, Curry.

Adventure 6 - The Leap
Boyard: "It's times like this you really know who your friends are and you're going to be dropping in on them. Only quicker and sooner than you think. Now I don't mean to put any pressure on you but your time is ticking away..."
Sam "If I can do them snakes mate, you can do this!"

And he is under time pressure as there was a mere 1:40 left on the clock before the gong. He was all harnessed up and despite much shouting and peer pressure from below, all he could was ĢI can't do it! I can't!" to which they replied "you CAN!" In the end, he did it, he kept his eyes open and he got the clue. It was Keg
Clues so far: [Gun], Foot, Blue, Curry, Keg.

With about 10 seconds to go and still swinging down, Simon shouts out the word 'Powder'. BONG!

The Treasure Room

Clues: [Gun], Foot, Blue, Curry and Keg.

They were at a slight disadvantage because they werem't at the Treasure Room on the gong so they wasted a couple of seconds going up there. They thought the codeword was 'POWDER' but they were quite slow in makng the word. Time was elapsing. Were they right?

Boyard: "Tiger Master, The Tiger's Head please! Let's see if they're right..."

...And the gold started tumbling but they didn't have much time!

Codeword Explanation
Foot, as in Foot powder,
Blue, as in the colour Powder blue,
Curry from the two halves in the snake pit, as in Curry powder
and Keg as in Powder keg.
The codeword was POWDER

The bell rang and they all ran out, nobody was caught.

Boyard: "Jacques and Jules, weigh thir ill-gotten gains!"

3260 doubloons!

Boyard: "Well don't worry, because I always have the last laugh, so bring on your next set of challengers..."

Get out!
