Boyard: "[Laughs] Well here's another team that think they're strong enough to steal Fort Boyard's gold, well I don't think you're strong enough. Especially you. ... Your quest begins with a riddle but frankly it's a riddle how you got here in the first place..."
Challenge 1 - The Watchtower Joanne is sent to the
watchtower where she is set a riddle by the Professor.
Professor "Hah, Bon appreit wotsit. I've just
realised something. I don't know quite what it was but it was
something... tremendous."
The Riddle:
"You can find it in the desert or the sea,
You can get it from a Eucalyptus tree,
You can put it on your food, in your car,
Or if you're nude you can rub it on your body sensuously."
Joanne gets it quickly, OIL
Professor "Please hurry! I've got something to
think about, which is what... I've got... to think about."
Keys:1 Prisoners:0
Challenge 2 - The Rope Maze
Boyard: "Ah, you think you're clever do you, 'ner ner
ner ner ner'? Well you're about to do the French Rope Trick, but
be careful you don't get locked in when the time runs out because
you'll end up in the dungeons. And while you're in there failing,
I'll go and set up the next challenge."
Nicky drops the key but by picking it up, stays in the room
just too long...
Keys:1 Prisoners:1
Challenge 3 - Overhang Climb
Melinda: "You got the riddle right so we've got one
key..."
Boyard: "...And you've got one prisoner haven't you?
One down, four to go! [Laughs] You look like a bit of a social
climber to me and here's your party invitation: Put it on because
you're going to go on Jacob's Ladder. Now Jacob's Ladder went
straight to Heaven. This one's going straight to Hell."
Julian slips off halfway up making life very difficult for
himself. He fails.
Keys:1 Prisoners:1
Challenge 4 - The Turnstyle
Boyard: "[Laughs] What a pathetic little creature you
are! Well, let's see if you can redeem yourself, you're going up
to the Watchtower. Jules, you know what to do. And don't you
laugh, you're the stand by swimmer [Sean]. Now we need someone
who's good at ducking and diving. Jo, you look like a bit of a
ducker!"
Jo starts the game very slowly. She has trouble undoing the
wingnuts... and fails (again).
Keys:1 Prisoners:1
Challenge 5 - The Watchtower
Julian is sent to the watchtower.
Professor "You know, I was thinking. Thought is a very wonderful thing. If, of course, you can think..."
The Riddle
"The draft of a law,
An account,
A bird's beak."
Quite quickly Julian responds BEAK and is correct.
Keys:2 Prisoners:1
Challenge 6 - Conveyor Belt
Boyard: "What have I got next? Now seemingly, you're
very good at riddles and not very good at challenges. So I'm
going to have to make them harder, aren't I!"
Joanne "Easier! Easier!"
Boyard: "No, no, no! You're looking a bit pale. I
think you could do with a brisk walk. But remember, always look
behind your shoulder..."
Carol loses a lot of water taking the buckets down. Shock of
shocks, it's another failiure.
Keys:2 Prisoners:1
Challenge 7 - The Fan
Boyard: "Oh dear! I could have told you it would have
been like this couldn't I, eh? If you don't believe me just ask
me. Right, they say the Windy City is mighty pretty - well you're
about to meet your biggest fan."
Julian and Sean are always close to the putting the shield
against the fan, but because they belong to this team, they never
quite manage to get there.
Keys:2 Prisoners:1
Challenge 8 - The Shrinking Room
Boyard: "Well? Was it worth leaving home guys and
girls? Well? It's been fun for me! Do you know what they say?
They say it's a very small world. [Laughs] And Carol is just
about to find out..."
Shockingly, Carol actually wins this key! Will wonders ever
cease?
Keys:3 Prisoners:1
The Oubliette
Boyard: "C'mon, come on, you're not doing too good
but I'm doing very, very well. Only three keys? Ha! Jules, open
the hole."
Shaun is sacrificed for their fourth and final key.
Keys:4 Prisoners:0 SACRIFICES:1
Boyard: "Go on you haven't done much right, get the keys in the lock! You might as well get something done properly! It's all well getting your four keys, but now, party time really starts!"
Adventure 1 - The Watchtower (Carol)
Professor: "Hello? Ecoute! Hey diddle riddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped... heh, you know, that song's ridiculous. A cow couldn't jump over the Moon. It would burn up in re-entry!"
The Riddle:
"This is something you should not leave undone..."
With a bit of help from the Prof, she says FLY. Correct!
Adventure 2 - The Infernal Ladder
Boyard: "Seems as if Carol's got lucky, she's got the
first word. In the mean time Nicky you're going up in the
world..."
They manage this one as well! When she jumps off the ladder
she has a bit of a shock, not realising she would swing! The clue
is FINGERS

Adventure 3 - The Arachnid's Cabin
Boyard: "Nicky, you finally got one right! Well
that's a revelation, isn't it! They'll be happy in the Valleys
tomorrow won't they! But come into my parlour said the spider to
the fly... Joanne, it's your turn... Go on Miss Muffet, sit on
your tuffet!"
She's quite scared but does get into the adventure. She finds
it on a scorpion, GARLIC
Clues so far:Fly, Fingers, Garlic
Adventure 4 - The Flooded Rooms
Boyard: "Happy? Well you two get hold of that, you
two get hold of that end and lift. Woah! Oh Julian, well done!
Now you're going off with Jules to get ready for the next
challenge - Jules, take him away! Carol, this is your chance to
do your Kate Winslett bit, not in the back of the car with
Leonardo but down there in that sunken hole because that's where
your next clue is..."
Carol gets to the AIX box in time but doesn't untie it quickly
enough... BANG!
Clues so Far: Fly, Fingers, Garlic
Adventure 5 - The Rope Cross
Boyard: "Well the good news is that your clue's in
that little box. The bad news is that the key to it's out there.
Now, one time it was fashionable to have soap on a rope... Now
meet Dope on a rope, 'cos that's where he's going. Don't worry,
you're in the hands of Antoine. Frances' number one stunt
co-ordinator, but he is the only one..."
