9/10 GRAPHICS: The 3-D graphic capabilities of Virtual Boy were greatly used in this game. Wario can move back and forth between the background and the foreground. Enemies can also move between the background and foreground.

8/10 SOUND: Good sound effects. Some of the music is from Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy), while other music is new.

8/10 CONTROL: As with most Mario and Wario adventures, the control is great and innovative.

10/10 CHALLENGE: Also, with most Mario and Wario adventures, the challenge at the beginning of the game is at an easy level and at the end it is at a hard level. To make the game a bit easier, ther is a save option, so you won't have to play the game all the way through in one try. Of course you can't go back to an earlier level, that is two or more back, without going back through those levels. In other words, there's no world map, like the one used in Wario Land for Game Boy.

9/10 THEME: The theme is good. It's very Wario-like.

9/10 FUN: This is a VERY fun game. That's all that has to be said.

OVERALL: 90% (A-)

COMMENTS: Wario Land is the best reason to buy a Virtual Boy, if you don't already own one. If you do have a chance to play this one, and like it, watch for Wario Land 2 when it is released this November for Super Game Boy.
