Monster Rancher Homepage (w/ some other stuff)

IT IS DEC. AND THIS PAGE IS UPDATED!!! LET'S HEAR SOME APPLAUSE FOR THE PUNCTUALLY CHALLENGED WEB MASTER!!!!

***Updated 12.7.97***:

AND NOW A NEW GREETTING-
I know very well I haven't been keeping up with this. I just don't have the time and it seems that I never have anything good to put on here anyway. But I just discovered a great now game that may change that. But first I'd like to say how suprised I am at what has happened. My page went from 1.5 thousand views to almost 1.5 MILLION in only four months!!!! WOW. Yep. This has really given me new encouragement. I really want all to know this isn't an attempt at a perfect page and I'm sure you'll find your share of spelling errors and outdated stuff but it's made to be unorganized. Think of it as a drawing board or desk where notes and things pile up. That is part of the effect I try to make with this page. Now...

The new game I mentioned earlier is none other than Tecmo's insanely brilliant Monster Rancher for the PSX! This baby is chock full of replay value!!! Pop in a CD and get a monster to fight with! There are over 200 monsters to get!!! Best of all the way you get the monster is based on programming so you will always get the same monster with the same CD. Then you raise your monsters and make them the ultimate fighting machienes!! I have grown quite fond of this game which must be played to be understood completely. I've pretty much decided to make that a big part of my page now. Instead of making a separate section for it I'm just going to put all the info. right here for you all. All the old links are still down there but most of the stuff is as I said old notes. Check them if you wish. Also I am aware that my guestbook doesn't work correctly best I'll just leave it there anyway so just ignore it. Now onto the info.!

All of the monsters in Monster Rancher are summarized on one big list from 1 to the last # (I don't even know it!) So far I have 80 of the 200+ monsters. A big way to guarentee you'll get what you want is to do this: GET MONEY. The best way by finding a monster that breeds well (like Mint or Stoner) and have them work alot. This not only gives you cash but increases their stats. But don't blindly do the same job over and over. Do stuff that you feel your monster needs to do. Now when his/her Loyalty level is high plus his/her other levels are (and your wallet) start fighting in all the battles that you can making sure you win totally every time. To do this save before the battle. If you are not satisfied with the results, reset and try again. This not only increases your rank as breeder but your wallet as well with prize money. Once you have alot it is time to go to the lab. Now first freeze your current monster and pick two others you have frozen. If you don't have others go to the shrine or market. Then go to the lab and when they're all safely frozen start combining. You need the money cause it costs 500G to combine once. I also recommend saving before incase your results stink. It usually works like this:
The Main of the first will be the sub of the result and the Main of the second will be the Main of the result pending you do NOT use an item and the guy says the combo. is 'good' or 'so-so'. Here is an example:

You have Dino and Tiger and you want Lidee (Dino w/ Tiger). First pick Tiger then Dino. On the list Lidee should be second (this is another way to tell). It is best to use monsters of one type ie: Dino, Tiger, Suezo, ect. instead of mixes since there are only two possible outcomes and it's less confusing. For starters get all combos possible using Dino, Tiger and Suezo. There are nine combos including Dino, Tiger, and Suezo. Doing this with ALL straight breeds will net you all the monsters in the book sans the hidden ones with '???' subs and straight breeds (ie: Dino, Tiger, ect.). Get these from the right CDs. Hidden ones like Sleeves are only achieved through CDs from what I know right now. Below I will list the mosters how they appear in the book and how to get each one the way I did. The best thing to do is get all the straight breeds first. The 'breed' name as I call it is the name of the monster. Straight ones with the same for main and sub have the name of the main and sub. Crossed breeds have a totally different one. These names are different from the ones you make up yourself. Remember that if you fing any monsters not on my page, send me the info on how to get them. You will be credited.

Right now I'm just giving the basic list. I need to organize the notes I've been taking on this game before I make a comprehensive one. Taking notes is important so you don't forget where you found a certain monster! Blanks are ones I haven't found yet.
