Great! The Ruby Weapon! He is easily the hardest enermy in the game. First of all make sure that you have Final Attack (mastered) with Phonix on as many characters as posible. Then make sure you have Knights of the Round equiped on as many characters as posible. REMEMBER:you can not hurt the Ruby weapon when his arms are not dug into the groud behind your crew. The Ruby's fighting style makes this a hard fight, he will sink two of your characters in the sand (they disapear from the screen) before he sinks his arms, sometimes he doesn't sink his arms and will kill you before you have a chance. You can either fight the Ruby by maxing one of your characters out and hoping that he will be left, or by maxing out all your characters (this can be time consuming but still it will help a lot with the actual fight). You need to use 2 summon materia combined with Knights of the Round. Every time you cast your two Knights of the round he will kill you, this is why you need Final Attack. It might take a while but this will get the job done! Good Luck! Also the Desert Rose (the item you recieve) can be given to the traveller in Kalm, he will give you a gold chocobo for your efforts.
