This is quite a great thing to hear if you are a true RE fan, her goes, Now that Resident Evil is one of the best selling PlayStation games of all time, Capcom is ready to start work on the third. Capcom has already has a basic story in place as previously reported, but it looks as if the series is getting a major rewrite and redesign. Capcom Japan is currently looking for new game planners, game designers, CG animators, programmers, and sound engineers for the what's currently being termed Biohazard: Next Project. So far as we know, though, Capcom's working in-house and in-Japan, so all you designers here, you're out of luck, the wait for this started when RE2 was announced, but the best is yet to come, they haven't even driven it out of porpotion in the usual Capcom style (ex. Mega Man, Street Fighter) need I say more.
I nearly jumped when I heard this one. Capcom held a press event to rave about the great sales of RE 2. According to Japanese sources, Soichirou Irimajiri, President of Sega, let out, "By all means, our next machine will have Bio Hazard." While it's unknown as to whether or not he was hinting at a Resident Evil 3 for the Katana, or perhaps an update of one of the current Resident Evil titles, the announcement is certainly one of great hope to future Katana owners. If it was hinting at RE3 then the rumors say, and most of the dialogs picked up RE2 that it will take place in a fictional European suburb (Hello! Umbrella HQ.) and will include a more user friendly sytem such as crawling, climbing and even jumping, it seems that Capcom doesn't have a choice about making an RE3, RE2, RE, REDC, were one of the top ten best sellers in the playstation industry, and the top 50 in the world. But the news about all these new factors can be diasapointing, especially if it turns out to be just like Tomb Raider 2, I mean I like the game but it doesn't seem to sit right in the RE world. And one of the greater things my team has learned is that they must be making an RE3 because they have been hiring nothing but the best for a "Bio Hazard" project, RE3?, this will be updated frequently for your benefit.
