A brief history of Arc-Royal:

Arc-Royal has been one of the most prestigous academies in all of the Inner Sphere. The Lyran Commonwealth was formed in 2340 as an amalgamation of three smaller mutual-defence leagues: the Tamar Pact, the Federation of Skye, and the Protectorate of Donegal. At that time, the system (and second planet) known as Arc-Royal was nothing more than a frontier world. It had a breathable atmosphere, 2 small temparate rings surrounded by a large desert through the equator and arctic caps, but little in terms of natural resources. Therefore, shortly after hostilites between the Lyran Commonwealth and the Draconis Combine broke out in 2407, Arc-Royal was used as a place to stage mock planetary assaults and other military manuvers. The first tests of the prototype Mackie built from stolen Hegemony plans were held on Arc-Royal. In 2781, after the Star League had completely dissolved, many Lyran battlemechs were moved to Arc-Royal to be readied for battle. Once the first Succession War started (2787), many regimental commanders petitioned to use Arc-Royal as practice grounds for their Mechwarriors. Before the start of the Second Succession war (approx. 2830), it was decided to build a formal Mechwarrior training facility on Arc-Royal. The final institution, the Arc-Royal Mechwarrior Academy was finished on December 7th, 2831 and in full use by 2832. It was known throughout the Inner Sphere that Arc-Royal was one of the best training facilities in known space, and remains as such to this day.

Arc-Royal Today:

Arc-Royal now serves as an elite training facility for any and all sufficiently skilled Mechwarriors. During the days of the Federated Commonwealth, it was under the direct control of the AFFC, but now is a neutral world. All 5 major houses, plus the two minor houses and mercenaries from around the Inner Sphere currently or have been enrolled in studies at Arc-Royal. Currently under no direct threat, it lies very close to the current Clan Occupation Zone. Though not of great strategic importance in terms of location, it is still a prime target for a Clan attack once the Truce of Tukkyid ends.

Training Schedule

Currently, our training schedule is planned for Thursday nights, between 10:30 - 12:30 evening (Eastern Time). Also we will probably hold other training times to be posted later. If you would like to schedule a personal training time, or a time when it would be more convienent for everyone don't hesitate send me some E-Mail.

Topics that will be practiced are Lag Training, heat management, head shots, and possibly other topics.
